Wedding Bells be Ringing!
Love Songs with BaekhyunSometimes Chanyeol wonders if Kai and Kyungsoo had saved a nation in their past lives, for they were both incredibly accomplished and lucky dudes. For instance, the clear blue skies with beautiful dots of white drifting idly by whilst a gentle breeze followed the giant as he set foot into the venue of the wedding. The Double K duo had rented out a cottage slightly on the outskirts of Seoul so that the guests could stay the night and bask in the quietness of their gem of a wedding location. Said cottage was decorated with warm and inviting tones and came with a tiny pool and a large garden which was perfect for the wedding. Kyungsoo mentioned something about purchasing the cottage for good, and Chanyeol believes it was only a matter of time before their next gathering would be held here again.
It was hardly difficult for Chanyeol to spot his boyfriend, whom he missed dearly because Baekhyun had spent the night at the cottage with the soon-to-be wedded couple and Liyin preparing and rehearsing for the big moment. Baekhyun looked absolutely ethereal with the sunlight casted on his silver hair, which was a stark contrast to his crisp, all black tux. Not only were his eyes lined with black liner, he also had immaculately blended burgundy eyeshadow framing his lids. And when Chanyeol stared hard enough, he made out the gray colored contacts Baekhyun was wearing, which was what felt so different about his boyfriend. Chanyeol gulped. Why did Baekhyun have to be so darn perfect and what had he done in his past life to be able to meet Baekhyun in this because he’ll make damn sure to do it again so he could spend all his lifetimes with his lover.
“Psst, he’s staring again.” Liyin giggled as she leaned in closer to whisper to Baekhyun.
“Really?” Baekhyun felt his cheeks flushing. He had trusted the makeup artiste with her recommendation for his eye makeup and of course Kris could never get any outfit wrong. Fixing his tie absentmindedly, Baekhyun had to utilize all of his willpower so he wouldn’t turn the giant’s way, in case he abandons his best man duties to go frolicking with Chanyeol instead.
“Stop touching your tie, you’re messing it up!” Kris snapped as he came around and spotted the DJ messing with his outfit for the hundredth time.
“He’s just distracted by loverboy who happens to be shooting daggers at you now for touching Baekhyun’s tie.” Tao snickered as he sidled up next to Kris and blew a flying kiss in Chanyeol’s direction. That was the last straw for Baekhyun and indeed, he saw Chanyeol’s glare following Kris’ fingers like a hawk when he turned to look. And Chanyeol looked absolutely dashing with his newly dyed (matching) silver hair and full black suit.
“You’re going to drool.” Tao commented with a playful smirk.
“Don’t you have to tend the bar counter?” Baekhyun shot back sassily. “You’re just jealous we got matching outfits.”
“And who do you have to thank for that?” came Kris’ retort.
The garden was flowing with guests as their colleagues filed in alongside Kai and Kyungsoo’s immediate families. An orchestra played in the background as the guests mingled. Sehun showed up with Luhan, and Suho with Lay, and together with Chanyeol and Chen, they made their way over to the bar.
“I don’t know if Kai made a wise choice hiring you for the drinks.” Lay took a whiff of the glass Tao passed him and immediately passed it on to Suho with a smile. “I’d prefer to stay sober and not do reckless things at a wedding.”
“Same,” Suho passed the drink on to Chen who decidedly took a swig.
“Maybe this will give me courage to march up to them right now and steal Liyin away.” Chen mumbled grouchily as he eyed his girlfriend whose arm was linked with Baekhyun’s. “Stupid superstitions.”
“I’d rather believe in those superstitions if I were you. Wouldn’t want to risk a break up by casting a couple as best man and bridesmaid.” Luhan clicked his tongue disapprovingly. “You’re dating Liyin, you should know Chinese customs better than this.”
Chen made a face and groaned just as a flash went off in his peripheral vision. “Yah, Kim Minseok! Delete that photo!”
Leaving Minseok to do his job as the photographer and Chen to trail after said photographer to pester him into deleting that blackmail worthy photo, the rest of them settled into the neatly arranged wooden chairs each adorned with a sash held together with a bunch of flowers. The orchestra ended the piece of music they were playing and Kyungsoo’s brother made his way up the platform to announce the commencement of the wedding and for all the guests to be seated. Chen finally collapsed in
