I sit down with Anabel at the library and see Lei walking out.

“So, what is this: 5x+3y-4y/2… x=7, y=5.”

I’m too busy looking out the window to see if Lei is still there.

“Well you just insert the numbers for x and y into the problem and find the answer.” I explain quickly.

“I’m going to go outside and get some fresh air. If you need me, just call me.” I smile as Anabel nods her head.

I walk outside and breathe. The wind feels good. I love this kind of weather. I look for Lei and I see her.

I walk towards her and look down from the wind in my face.

I hear a scream and look up. It looks like someone beat me to Lei. But, not someone good. A . Or a drunk dude.
