Lei’s POV:

“How could she do that? I know she did it to get on my nerves! Ugghh that friggin b*tch!” I ran my hands through my hair repeatedly while Kris just stood there and kind of watched.. very amused.

I stare at him, waiting for a reaction. “Well? Are you just going to stand there?” I ask, rolling my eyes.

Suddenly Kris laughs and walks towards me. He leans forward and grabs me in a bear hug from behind. I smile too, unable to contain it and swat him away.

“Relax. She’s just doing it to get a reaction out of you, and it’s working.” Kris says, smiling.

I roll my eyes again and scoff. “Way to make me feel great.” I say sarcastically. “Why don’t you dump a bucket of ice cold water on me while you’re at it.”

He laughs again and punches my shoulder. What can I do? He’s irresistible. And immature, but whatever. I study him for a moment.

He has that bad boy sense. Is he dangerous? Maybe I’m just overthinking. But why does my heart and gut tell me he’s trouble?

I shake of the feeling and smile at him. I’ve dealt with boys like this before. Just play hard to get. Play hard to get. But will it work this time?
