The Night of the Snatch and the Kidnap

Of course the little girl was snatched.
The Sentenial Magistrate wanted her.
They had watched her.
Studied her.
They needed her.
She never stood a chance.
The Snatchers came in the early evening.
"Just get out Yuri!" The Brother yelled, forcefully shoving the small girl out of the living room, out of his way. The little girl, just barely seven, whimpered and shrank back against the wall. She learned to avoid her family as much as possible. They fed her, most of the time. Nobody ever cared what she did. She would just play with her dolls all day. Alone. In her room. Always alone. That's all she knew. The family hated her. Hated her power. Hated that she was an Anomaly. Yet they never turned her into the Snatchers. Why? Because if people found out little Yuri was snatched, then they would know that the family had a Anomaly among them, and that would tarnish the family name and appearance. It's all about appearances.
Yuri limped into the kitchen, he leg hurt from when the Brother pushed her. It was a normal occurance.
Hard enough to hurt.
Soft enough to leave no bruise.
That's how it was always done.
Yuri limped into the kithen to see the family sitting around the table, getting ready to eat. Actually they had started without her. They payed no attention to her as she struggled into her chair and began to eat. No one even looked at her. They didn't want to.
Yuri didn't wallow.
This was all she knew.
