It was a normal morning.
Kai was first to breakfast.

Suho entered next, a warm, chipper smile on his face as he greeted the younger boy.

Tao walked in after, still bundled in his blanket, eyes hazy with sleep.

Then, finally, Kris and D.O. arrived.
D.O. was holding onto Kris' arm, steering him into the room.

It was evident that he cried.
Nobody said anything.
They just quietly looked down and spared his pride.
Kris plopped down next to Suho, D.O. sitting carefully on his other side.
With a nod from D.O., Suho began to gently urge Kris too eat, while D.O. rubbed his back.
Tao watched, wide-eyed, from the other side of the table.
Episodes like this weren't unusual.
Everyone had night terrors.
Everyone had nightmares.
Each person sought comfort with the rest of them.

Kris started becoming distant.
Every morning his eyes were heavy with guilt.

With regret.
With fear.
