There are somethings people are happy to find.

A lost ring.

Money.

Long-lost family.

A good resturant.

A pretty seashell.

 

Then, there are the things you never want to find.

Kai stumbled upon one.

 

It had been a year.

Xiumin was 17.

Luhan was 17. 

Kris was 17.

Suho was 16.

Lay was 15.

Baekhyun was 15.

Chen was 14.

Chanyeol was 14.

D.O. was 14.

Tao was 14.

Kai was 13.

Sehun was 13.

Yuri was 11.

Kai was reading in his room.

He was reading about snakes.

Kai hated snakes.

Yet, he was reading about them.

The his body teleport without his consent.

He appeared in the Rec room. 

They all had stopped going into the Rec room.

Too many memories.

The boys would run into each other there.

It became too hard avoiding one another that they just stopped going into that room all together.

Their family was in shambles.

Kai looked around the abandoned room.

It was spotless, like every other room in the Compound.

Kai walked around, remembering.

Reliving.

Playing with Sehun.

Bothering Suho.

Drawing with Kris.

Dancing with Lay.

Meeting Yuri.

"Camping" underneath the tables.

Xiumin teaching everyone how to make paper snowflakes.

Luhan holding things up in the air just out of reach.

Kai dragged his fingertips along the surface of the drawing table.

They would all draw.

Even when they "out grew it."

It connected them all.

Kai raised his head.

He was staring straight at the glass window.

He smiled sadly too himself.

That window was special.

Then he saw it.

He almost missed it.

A shadow flickered in the room.

Kai ran to the window, heart pounding.

He pressed his palms and the tip of his nose against the cool glass, staring into the forbidden room.

Yuri.

After a year, he was finally seeing her again.

She had gotten taller.

Hair longer.

Eyes colder.

She raised her hands.

They were trembling.

The shadows in the room slowly bent to her will.

She was playing with the shadows.

She had control.

Kai sighed in relief.

Yuri was okay.

Yuri was alive.

Yuri was right in front of him.

Kai knocked loudly on the window.

Yuri jumped at the sound, then she slowly turned around.

Her eyes fell on Kai.

They stared at each other a long time, before recognition filled they young girls face.

Her expression changed as she ran up to the window.

Kai smiled as she got closer.

But then his eyes widened and his smile dropped.

When Yuri reached the window, she began to pound on it with her fists.

She started screaming at Kai.

It surprised the boy, making him stumbled back and fall to the ground.

Yuri cursed Kai and all the boys to hell.

She continued to pound the glass and scream angrily at Kai.

Kai was horrified.

Was this really Yuri?

He could barely hear her muffled words.

"I hate all of you!"

"Liars!"

"I'll kill all of you!"

"It's all your fault!"

"You said you would protect me!"

"You left me!"

"Die! All of you just die!"

Horrible things.

Things his precious Yuri would never say.
