Yuri stared at the caretakers as they walked around the room.

Her shadow was coiled around her.

Almost as if it was alive.

A caretaker approached her cautiously.

Yuri watched them carefully.

When they got within range, Yuri's shadow whipped out.

The caretaker thudded against the ground.

Yuri and the caretakers had been doing this dance for a week now.

The caretaker comes close.

Yuri knocks them down.

They have no control over the girl anymore.

This isn't what they wanted.

Another caretaker runs over to help the one that had fallen.

None of them notice the item that the shadows were dragging back to Yuri.

Yuri grabbed the item from the shadow and shoved it up her thin shirt.

She was going to end it.

Yuri continued to stare at the caretakers with malice.

She watched them carefully.

No movement escaped her eyes.

They didn't approach her for the rest of the day.

At the end of the day-

-or the beginning, Yuri had lost all concept of time while she was confined in the dark and in the 4 white walls-

- the caretakers left, leaving Yuri alone and locked up.

Yuri was alone.

Yuri was always alone.

But was Yuri really alone?

Or was there something in there with her?

Watching.

Wondering.

Waiting.

Yuri waited.

She waited until she was completely sure.

She acted when she was completely sure.

Yuri scrambled over to the door that lead to the Rec room.

Her movements were rushed and panicked.

She pulled the stolen item out from underneath her shirt.

A key card.

What else could it have been.

With shaking arms, she unlocked the door.

The door slid open.

Yuri stared wide eyed at the opening.

It actually worked.

She didn't actually expect it to work.

It worked.

Yuri ran.

She ran with everything she had.

But she wasn't leaving.

Not yet.

Not without it.

She ran down the hallway she knew so well.

She flung open a door.

Her door.

Her old door.

She ran into the room and jumped on the bed too look for it.

But she landed on something.

Someone.

Sehun.

Sehun awoke with a gurgled scream.

Something heavy just landed on his chest.

He opened his eyes.

There was a girl on him.

A familiar girl blinking above him.

Yuri.

Yuri.

Yuri.

She was here.

He was seeing her with his own eyes.

"Yuri..." he whispered happily, face forming a smile.

But Yuri wasn't happy.

No.

Yuri was furious.

What was he doing there?

Why?

Why!?

HE COULDN'T BE HERE THEY ABANDONED HER.

Yuri's hand lashed out.

Her hand connected with his cheek.

A stinging slap.

Jumping off of him, Yuri's eyes landed on it.

A toy.

A deer toy.

Her precious deer toy.

The first gift she ever got.

Yuri snatched the toy and leapt from the bed.

She ran.

But at the door, she stopped and turned around.

Mistake.

Her eyes met Sehun's.

Sehun who was holding his stinging cheek.

Mistake.

Turning around was all the incentive Sehun needed to get up and chase her.

"Yuri!" Sehun yelled, jumping out of the bed.

He was only in his pyjamas.

Yuri disappeared out the door.

The tiny deer was clutched to her chest.

Sehun rounded the corner, only to see Yuri disappear down another,

She just kept running.

Getting caught meant never leaving.

She wanted too leave it all behind.

She wanted too leave them behind.

Yuri kept running.

But Sehun was gaining.

Sehun was getting closer.

She had to leave it behind.

She had to leave it behind.

There was no other choice.

It was do or die now.

Yuri turned arou

Chapter 5: I don't why I never noticed before, but u were almost definitely listening to doll house by melanie martinez (or at least had it in my mind) when u wrote this chapter!
"Eventually the little girl blamed the little girl" that line gave me so much goosebumps. This story is awesome!

Chapter 36: holy crap. this story fcked me up.
I love how your style is so simple, but straightforward- they go straight to the feels. Like the way you repeated things and the short sentences made me feel like I was losing control and...idk how to explain it.
And most of the time, when people change the font size and color, it's really obnoxious, but the way you did it, it was just...wow
moving on to the sequel, even though I have homework ^_^
