Chapter six

Two years later, since Siwon´s marriage, everything seems to be the same...both friends living their lives in a different way but they never lost contact.

Kyuhyun was also succeeding in his professional life. He was efficient and had gained people´s respect easily at work. He was on charge of many projects and often travelled around the country attending seminars representing his company. He was earning enough money to have a comfortable life as a single man. He even looked more handsome than before with chubby cheeks, pink lips and a cute brown hair. He was constantly harassed by women at work but he showed no interest in them. He was more attractive with the years...his adult look was amazing. He liked to look well.

Siwon was doing fine too; he got accustomed to the life rhythm there. His professional life was great, he was admired by every person who worked with him. His personal life was also good, he felt happy with his wife but at the same time sad after discovering that she could not have children. This brought his wife´s sadness...but they planned to adopt a child someday and form a family with heirs. So he comforted his wife somehow enjoying their lives together,  just the two of them by the moment.

Siwon missed his family in Korea and Kyuhyun, he had thought about him a lot these years. He mailed Kyu every time he could and the latter always replied back, feeling very happy. Kyu missed him so much but his heart was calm. He learnt to accept this new reality but ironically deep in his heart, he would never give up to Siwon´s promise, impossible or not he wouldn´t give up!.

He had worked too much these years becoming really successful. The enterprise where he worked was very pleased with his work. One day he received an invitation for a three days seminar in the US, when he read the invitation he could not help but giggle...he read it over and over again smiling like an idiot. One idea was forming in his mind and he was not sure if it would work out.

His boss had already confirmed Kyu´s presence in that seminar and gave him all the support. He will represent the enterprise´s name with his knowledge and prestige. It would be a great chance to expand Kyu´s enterprise there.

Kyu has lived a normal life these years still thinking about Siwon but not in the same way, in his teen years Siwon was like an obsession for him but now as an adult he seems to be calm and his only obsession is his job. He is very thankful because somehow he still has Siwon´s friendship...it doesn´t care if it is through mails only. With this new event in his life and the chance to travel to USA for the seminar, he couldn´t help but getting anxious. The idea of seeing Siwon there crossed his mind. But What would Siwon say about the idea of visiting him there? Will he want to see me again after all these years? Will it be uncomfortable for both? Will he agree to meet me once more? Will his wife allow it? All these questions were obsessing Kyu at the moment...

Kyu was doubting if he should tell Siwon about his trip to USA or not because he didn´t know if Siwon would like to see him again.

Some days later, he received a mail from Siwon so he decided to tell him only about the trip...he wouldn´t lose anything anyway.

Kyu replied Siwon´s mail telling him about his seminar in the US next month, only that...testing what Siwon would say about it. Two days later, Siwon mailed him back and what he read next surprised him a lot...Siwon was proposing him about the idea of meeting each other again there. Kyu couldn´t help but smile and giggle. Siwon wants us to meet again! OMG! He asked me that first!... mmm come on Kyu don´t cheer up yourself! That means nothing he just wants to see you as a friend nothing else...he thought sadly but resigned.

Kyu mailed Siwon telling him all the information about his seminar there, the date, the place, etc...it would be in the same city where Siwon lives. What happened in Kyu´s head was a mess, he didn´t know why he was happy all of a sudden if he knew Siwon was married but something deep in his heart was expecting so much. Suddenly his sleeping feelings seemed to be alive again. He didn´t want to have so many expectations but he couldn´t control his heart beating. It was a lost battle with Siwon he knew about it but why Siwon wanted to see him so badly? and Kyu did want it too...just the idea of seeing his beautiful face and smile again, made him shake his whole body...I want to see him one more time please! Just once!...

And the next month went by fast. Kyu travelled to USA to attend an important seminar representing the enterprise where he works. He was happy with the idea of gaining more experience and knowledge but even happier with the chance to see Siwon after a long time. He attended the first two days of seminar successfully and the third day he would meet Siwon at the bar of his hotel. Kyu was really nervous and anxious... he was sweating and trembling while waiting for Siwon at the bar.

Suddenly someone touches his shoulder, he felt like fainting at the moment and turned around to see Siwon but he saw other man instead who was saying something to him, Kyu was so nervous that he could not listen or understand well what he was saying... his shy smile disappeared when he saw that man and not Siwon. That man was inviting a drink and sat by him. Kyu got really uncomfortable with the strange man who was smirking widely...he didn´t like that man...he rejected the drink invitation from him inmediately. Kyu seemed to be struggling with the insisting man by his side.

When suddenly he heard 'Kyuhyun!'...he knew that voice by heart, it was the most beautiful sound for him...his heart started to skip a beat...when he turned around he saw Siwon more handsome than ever looking mature and made the iest human being on Earth. He smiled widely looking at the beautiful man, his friend from childhood. All his sleeping feelings revived in seconds.

Kyu stood up to meet Siwon but the strange man beside him held his wrist avoiding to leave his company... Kyu got angry and disgusted of  the action.

Siwon seeing the scene from afar felt upset with the man, he was bothering his friend and forcing him to stay...but deep in his heart he felt a weird feeling that he couldn´t describe at the moment...Why do I feel so irritated? Why do I want to beat that man on his face? He dared to touch Kyu!...his heart wasn´t calm at all.

When Siwon looked at Kyu´s smile, his body shook and he felt his heart to skip a beat...Why? it has been a long time, years to be precise and he must confess he missed his friend. He walked to Kyu and took the man´s hand out of Kyu´s wrist. Siwon argued with the man because he could see the man´s true intentions with Kyu. The man who seemed with some cups of alcohol in his body, stood up and faced Siwon, it was a very uncomfortable moment for both friends and also for the people who were at the bar at that moment staring at the show. The things were getting worst between them. To avoid a fight between Siwon and the man there, Kyu held Siwon´s hand and pushed him outside leaving the bar and the nasty man behind. Kyuhyun led Siwon to his room at the hotel for some privacy. They hadn´t realized yet they were still holding hands in the elevator. When they were alone there, they stared at each other for a while. Kyu was smiling sweetly but Siwon was still upset (his face couldn´t lie) ...his forehead was still frowning...Why doI feel like this? he thought irritated.

"Are you gonna say hello at least after all these years we haven´t seen each other? ...you look really good, you have not changed at all! please foget what happened earlier...I don´t want that to ruin our special meeting today, I´m so happy to see you Siwon, I really mean it!" Kyu said nervously to break the silence and the tension between them.
