Chapter 3

An Angel's School Days

Chapter 3

"You said I could come back home during the weekends, right?" A nervous Bom asked as she and her aunt were toting her luggage through the school campus.

"Of course. But you probably won't want to when you start hanging out with your new friends." Her aunt said with a teasing smirk. 'If only that seemed like the case.'

It was late in the afternoon and Bom had been mentally dreading coming to the school. It was one thing to always come home after school was officially over for the day but it was another to actually have to stay there until the weekend.

If she ended up in the same situation that she just left this would be way worse than before. All they had to do was come to her dorm and the physical and mental suffering would begin again.

Before Bom knew it, her eyes started watering and she sighed in a frustrated manner. 'Not again...' She thought as she looked up at the sky so that her tears wouldn't fall.

Her aunt glanced over at her niece quickly before her eyes widen as she looked at Bom again. "Sweetie! What's wrong?" She asked worriedly and stopped dead in her tracks so that she could get her attention.

'Now she's worried.' The teen thought as she tried to smile and reassure her aunt that she's was fine. "Nothing auntie...I'm fine."

"No, there's got to be something that's bothering you...I've never seen you like this." Her aunt let out and wiped a lose tear from Bom's face with her thumb.

She closed her eyes and sighed softly, getting ready to tell her aunt the truth. "I..." Bom started to say but stopped as soon as the memories of her suffering days and pain resurfaced. She then imagined her aunt's smile and happiness as she told the teen how happy she was to be here with her and how she was gonna have so much fun.

What it all came down to was her aunt's happiness. And in Bom's mind she might have taken away everyone's else's happiness at her old school unintentionally but she had a choice this time. Either to tell her and make her worry and become angry at the school for letting the abuse happen for so long or keep it to herself so that her aunt will be happy.

She chose the latter.

"We just haven't seen each other in a long time...and now I'm leaving again...I've missed you so much auntie." Bom told her, not fighting the tears that were raining down her beautiful face. And it wasn't a lie but Bom still felt guilty when the older woman embraced her.

"Oh sweetie! I've missed you too. Don't cry Bom..." She told her softly as they stayed in a warm embrace for a while.

Afterwards they pulled away and dried both of their faces, they continued walking until they entered the entrance of the school. They walked until they saw what they assumed was the main office and walked inside.

"Excuse me?" Her aunt said as they both saw a tall dark-haired lady in front of the desk dressed in a trendy but classy business suit with her back to them.

The woman turned around and Bom gasped silently as she stared at the woman who she smiled kindly at the both of them and asked "Do you ladies need some assistance?"

"I'm Park Linda and my niece Park Bom Lee just transferred here." Her aunt told the lady politely as she put her arm around me and smiled.

The woman's smile turned bright as she looked down at me. "Oh yes! I've been waiting for your arrival! My name is Dr. Lee Sora and I'm the high school principal. It's nice to meet you, Park Bom."

"It's nice to meet you too." Bom said as they both shook hands and they both smiled. 'Wow she's so pretty. She looks like a fashion model' Bom thought as the principal and her aunt started talking for a while.

"Okay Sweetie. Well I have something to do in a little bit so I won't be able to see your room but Dr. Lee will. I'll call you later okay?"

"Okay Auntie." Bom replied and they hugged for the last time. "See you later." She said softly and pulled away.

"Bye Sweetie. Take good care of her, Dr. Lee." She told them with glossy eyes before walking out of the office.

After her aunt left, So-Ra showed Bom around the whole high school and campus, which Bom thought were all beautiful. The school was old but every five years they would fix it up and and re paint everything until it looked shiny and new again.

Bom also couldn't help but like and be inspired by So-Ra. She cared a lot about the well being of her students. The lady mentioned that when she first starting working at the school that it was ran-down with kids who didn't believe in theirselves enough to make good grades and want to do something with their lives. But all that changed after she became principal. Now this was one the top schools around and when she was offered a better job she declined because she loved the school and students too much to leave.

Bom was also surprised that the woman wasn't married yet. With her gorgeous looks and intelligence it was just really hard to believe that she didn't have a family of her own. But when Sora told her that the students were her family, Bom smiled, not surprised by the fact that she would say that. She did have a mother-like aura that radiated everywhere.

By the time they got to Bom's dorm sadness couldn't help but over take her mind. This was the first time that she was inspired by an older woman's personality and intelligence. So-Ra seemed like an angel in Bom's eyes. And the teen wanted to be angel to someone too. But that was a long shot and Bom knew that for sure.

"This is your dorm and your room key. This is also your class schedule for the semester. Now school starts tomorrow so I want you to get a good nights rest arraso?" She told her with a mother like smile.

"Okay. Thank you for showing me around today. I really enjoyed it." Bom confessed and sighed sadly.

So-Ra studied Bom's face and smiled reassuringly. "Bom, you're a beautiful and bright girl. You have absolutely nothing to worry about." She said softly before asking " Can I get a hug?"

They both started laughing as they gave each other a warm embrace and smiled. "If you ever want to talk...about anything...I'm here." So-Ra told her.

"Okay." Bom replied and they both released and budded each other goodnight.

It was her first day of school and all eyes were literally on her, which wasn't really a surprise to her.

But Bom decided to do what she did at her old school. She would go straight to all her classes when the bell rung and keep to herself. Then after school is over for the day she would go straight to her room and stay there until the next day.

Or at least that's what she planned to do until she got to P.E. After she changed into the school's gym clothes and sat with the class on the bleachers the coach told her to sit and watch since it was her first day there.

As she watched the boys play basketball and girls play volleyball, the gym doors open and a pretty girl popped up and came running to the coach. "This is the third tardy Ms. Im." The coach said.

"I'm sorry coach! I really am. Please just let me off this one time." She pleaded and batted her eyes and him. 'Omo...is she really trying to sweet talk the coach?' Bom thought as she watched the scene with interest.

The coach glared at for a while before sighing. "....alright fine...but if this happens again-"

"It won't coach. And as punishment I'll put all the gym equipment up." She said with a sweet smile.

"Okay." The coach told her and sent her towards the bleachers and shook his head when he turned back around. 'Poor coach. This probably happens often with her.' Bom thought as a smile appeared on her face.

"Hello! Are you new?"

Bom turned around quickly to find the girl sitting beside her and smiling brightly. "Uh...Neh."

"Oh goody! We haven't had a new student in forever. I'm Im Jin-Ah but everyone calls me Nana." She introduced herself in a bright girly fashion and held out her hand.

"I'm Park Bom." The junior told her shyly while shaking her hand.

"Oh! Park Bom? Such a pretty name. And you're so pretty too...almost like a doll! I'm  envious." She said with a cute pout before smiling again and pulling her hair up in a ponytail.

Bom blushed a bit in embarrassment and shook her in disagreement. "Ani...you're beautiful ...like Dr. Lee Sora.

Nana's eyes widen and she looked back at Bom. Usually people called her pretty all the time so she usually dismissed it but no one ever compared her to the principal, who Nana thought was the most beautiful person in the world. "Really?"

"Of course..." Bom said before looking at the girls expression and frowned, assuming that she said something wrong and that Nana didn't want to be compared to the principal. 'Im so stupid!' Bom thought as she quickly said "I'm sorry! I must have offended you-"

"No...you didn't offend me at all...it's just that no one has ever said that...I think she is the most beautiful person ever. I've just never been compared to her...it's like winning a Grammy!" Nana said and that bright smile of hers appeared again.

Bom gave her a soft smile and looked back at the other students as Nana got up and got ready to go play volleyball. Before she left Bom spotted Nana's shoe and noticed that it was untied. "Uh...Nana?"

"Yes?" She asked.

"Your shoe is untied." Bom told her.

Nana looked down and quickly bent over to re tie it. "Thanks!" She said.

"No prob-" Bom almost got before looking at Nana's shorts and noticing a dark stain on them. 'Oh no. I can't let her go over there like that.' Bom thought. "Nana?"

"Hmm?" The girl mumbled as she was concentrating on tying her shoe in a way that it where it wouldn't come a loose.

Bom walked over to her and whispered in her ear. Nana's eyes widen and she looked at Bom worriedly. "What am I gonna do? This is my first time."

"Here." Bom said as she took her jacket off and tied it around Nana's waist so that it would cover her bottom. "Don't worry. Let's go to the bathroom."

When P.E. was over with and Bom was on her way to the next class she was surprised when she head someone call her name. She turned around to see Nana running after her with a big smile of her face.

"Is something wrong?" Bom asked worriedly. 'What have I done now?'

Nana shook her head no and hugged her, much the older girl's surprise. "Thank you for helping me. I would have been the talk of the school if it hadn't been for you."

Bom's eyes widen. Something foreign was taking over her and she tried to deal with it only way she knew how. "Nana, it was nothing. I'm sure-"

"Nana! What-" They both pulled apart as another pretty girl approached them and she looked at Bom curious smile. "Who's this?"

"Oh! This is Park Bom. She's the new girl everyone's been talking about! And she saved me back in gym class!" Nana said happily.

"Hello. It's nice to meet you." Bom said softly.

"Hi! I'm Hoo Soo-hyun but Soo-hyun is fine...what exactly did you save her from?" She asked.

"Uh..." Bom looked at Nana before walked towards Soo-hyun and whispered it in her ear. After she was done and moved away, Soo-hyun laughed. "I was wondering when that was gonna happen...she just a late bird. I'm glad that you helped her cause she would have been crying her eyes out in the bathroom if anyone saw."

"I know right? Bom's my savior." Nana let out and hugged Bom again. The black-haired girl's eyes widen as she looked at Nana in surprise.

"Yah! Nana, let the girl breath! I'm sorry Bom. She's not usually like this." Soo-hyun explained and gave a Bom a sympathetic look while trying to pry Nana off of her, much to Bom's amusement.

"What class do you have next Bom?" Nana asked curiously.

Bom took her schedule out of her pocket and glanced over it. "11th grade English..."

"You're a junior?" Nana asked in surprise and Bom nodded her head.

Soo-hyun smiled in awe. "I'm a senior and Nana's a freshman. I knew you were the new girl that everyone's been talking about...you seem really shy."

Nana nodded her head in agreement. "But that's only because she's doesn't know everyone. Once she's used to her surroundings I'm sure she'll break out of her shell, right?"

Bom just looked at the both of them and blushed in embarrassment. She wasn't use to all this attention and she wasn't sure what to say.

"Bom, you can sit with us at lunch if you like. You shouldn't sit alone on your first day here." Soo-hyun advised her with a sweet smile.

"And you'll have fun when you meet our friends. Sit with us. Please?" Nana begged her.

"Uh...okay. I'll sit you guys." Bom said softly and gave them a smile.

"Okay! See you later." The cheery freshman said and ran off to her class. Soo-hyun just shook her head and smiled. "See you at lunch Bom!"

"Okay!" The junior said and walked to her designated class. Even though she was nervous about meeting the rest of the two girl's friends, she couldn't help but be a little bit excited about it. This was a new experience for her after all.

"Come along Bommie." Nana let out as she dragged Bom through the lunchroom so that they could get in line. "I wonder if Mama Shin is here today."

Bom was trying to decided on whether to ask or not but her curiosity won the fight "Who's Mama Shin?"

"He's the chef for the school. His food is the best around. Sometimes I wonder why he still works here when he could own a huge restaurant..." Nana answered as she patiently waited until the finally got to pick some food. "Mama Shin! Hi!" The freshman greeted happily as she grabbed some food.

"Hi Nana. I heard you almost got a tardy today." He said and glared at her playfully with a smirk.

"It's not my fault. I think those teachers are secretly wanting me to get in trouble..." She said with a cute pout as she grabbed some food.

Bom tried to hold in her laughter but she couldn't and ended up getting the chef's attention. "Nana, haven't I taught you any manners? Introduce to me to your friend."

"Oops! This is Park Bom. She's a junior and she just moved here. Bom, this is Mama Shin." She said.

"Hello. It's nice to meet you." Bom said politely and smiled softly.

Mama shin smiled at her and fixed her some food. "Nice to meet you Park Bom. You're the prettiest girl I've seen since I've meet Nana and Soo-hyun." He confessed which earned a blush from Bom.

"And Dr. Lee." Nana added teasingly.

The chef just chuckled quietly while handing Bom back her plate. "Of course. Enjoy your food Bom."

"Okay. Thank you." She told him before being dragged off by Nana again to a table where 2 boys and 1 girl were seated.

"Hi everyone!" Nana said as Bom and her sat down. They all said hey before moving their eyes towards Bom. Nana looked up just in time and started the introductions again. "You guys, this is Park Bom. Bom, this is Minwoo, Kang-joon, and Ga-yeon. Ga-yeon's in the same grade as me but these two are sophomores."

"Hello. It's nice to meet you all." Bom said and gave them a soft smile.

"You wouldn't happen to be the junior that everyone's talking about?" Minwoo asked curiously.

"I guess I am..." Bom replied and shrugged in a cute manner, which earned a smile from Minwoo.

While eating, Bom learned a little bit about everyone. She learned that Ga-yeon wants to be a professional fighter and has been training ever since she was in middle school. Minwoo wants to be an famous actor and is very competitive. Kang-joon wants to be an a famous actor too and doesn't seem to be too bright in something he's not interested in.

Soon afterward, Soo-hyun came over with two other guys. One was named Chanyeol, who was a really cute freshman with who had a talent for music. The other was Se-ho, a senior who was good at making everyone laugh including Bom.

By this time the table seemed complete and full of life. Bom glanced around at everyone and smiled inwardly. Never in her life would she think that she would be surrounded by such lively and fun people. It was still taking her a while to let it all sink in.

"Wait a minute...where is Dongwook?" Nana asked as she looked around the lunchroom for him.

"He said he would come here late. He had to have a discussion with Dr. Lee." Se-ho answered.

"Who is Dongwook?" Bom asked out of curiosity. She had heard everyone mention him throughout all of their conversations and she couldn't help but ask.

"Oh! That's our friend. He's a senior and he's the class president and the basketball star at this school." Soo-hyun answered.

"And he's handsome." Nana whispered to Bom but it was noticed by Se-ho, who asked her if she thought he was handsome too. Nana and everyone else just laughed at him.

"What did you say this time Se-ho?" Bom heard a guy say and watched him as he sat down in front of her while looking at the comedian of the table.

"I didn't say anything. I just asked if Nana thought I looked handsome and she think she said yes." He said which earned a laugh from everyone at the table.

As the laughter died down, Soo-hyun smiled and said "Bom, this is Lee Dongwook. Dongwook, this is Park Bom.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you." Bom said shyly before she looked up and her eyes widen as she recognized who he was.

"It's you..."
