He wiped away the tears from her beautiful face.

Stupid. He should have known that that guy was no good, that Fei was far too innocent to get tangled up in his games. But he was just a good friend to her, and she was so in love. He felt wrong trying to meddle in her love affair.

But she was here now. Broken and raw and so, so beautiful.

“I don't know why, but the tears keep coming out. I’m... I’m sorry Kris...” She sobbed.

He touched her cheek. “Let it all out, Fei. I’ll be right here.”

He stared deep into her teary eyes, and then gently kissed the top of her head. Her sobbing grew louder, which led to Kris securing her slim frame in his strong arms.

He would never let her go again. She will be safe, and never hurt again.
