That Night

Message: I’m not going home tonight.

Jessica sent the text message before she quickly switched her phone off. She was driving in the car; and  the time was almost 9PM. After her not so great encountered with Sooyoung earlier, she spent the rest of the day crying in her car. She was in a complete mess. She didn’t know what to do.

“Follow your heart Jessica. I’ll support with whatever decision you make!!!” Minho said to her earlier on the phone.

“I don’t know how to say to him. He spent a lot for the wedding.”

“If you think of him that way, then go ahead with the marriage then.” Minho sighed.

“I don’t know what to do.”

“He’s a nice guy Jessica, I’m sure he’ll understand.”

“That I’m about to crush his heart??”Jessica asked sarcastically. “You do know that if I break his heart, I’ll break my family’s too?”

“Come on Jessica, you had 5 failed engagements! I’m sure they can still bear for another one.”

“Can you please tell Yuri that I’m coming over to the apartment tonight?”

“Yes sure Jess.”

Sooyoung was the only one she could think of. She didn’t even return any of Donghae calls and messages.  She could still remember Sooyoung’s teary eyes earlier. She never felt that hurt before. Sooyoung’s teary eyes just stabbed her directly in the heart.

She stopped her car in front of the apartment building. “God please give me the right words to say. I don’t want to lose her.” She mumbled.

She went out of the car and went straight to the lift.

*KNOCK *KNOCK

Yuri was the one that opened the door.

“Did Minho tell you…”

“Yes, yes.. Come in.” Yuri interrupted.  Jessica went in and looked around the apartment. “Is she here?”

“Yes. She’s sleeping right now.” Yuri said. She guided Jessica to the living room.

“She’s sleeping? It’s still early.” Jessica looked at her watch.

“I guess she was just too upset.” Yuri mumbled.

I guess Yuri knows what happened..

“I’m sorry.” Jessica said in a low tone.

“Seriously, I really don’t know what to say Jessica.”
