My parents were best friends with Soo Hyun's parents in university and they stayed close even after graduation, thus explaining why I've known him since birth. We were best friends too. We played together, eat together, took naps together, started kindergarten together, experienced our first fall together and went to elementary school together. We were inseparable. Soo Hyun once told me that when we grow up, he'd marry me. He then gave me a beautiful little wild flower he'd picked when he was coming over to my place. He made me smile a lot. He made me smile everyday.

"Here," Soo Hyun grinned cheekily at me, then swiping some mud onto my face. I gasped, jumping away from him.

"HEY!" I pouted. "You just made me uglier." He glared at me, shook his head and flicked my forehead making me squeal.

"You're a pretty pretty pretty girl! I'm gonna marry you one day!" He grinned. He hooked his pinky with mine as a promise, making me smile. I really do want to marry him! Mom said she thinks we were cute together but I disagreed because Soo Hyun was cute but I'm not... I'm just an ugly little girl that everyone hated because I don't fit in with them. It was getting dark, so Soo Hyun and I parted ways to go back to our homes. Before leaving we did a pinky promise again. This time, he surprised me by pecking my cheek, making me grin from ear to ear.

I was just laying in bed hugging Mr Teddy when my mom came into my room. I sat up and she came over and sat on my bed.

"Eun Hee, remember dad's boss Mr Lee?" Mom asked. I nodded. "He promoted your dad and transferred him to a branch in America."

"That means dad is leaving us?" I asked fearfully. To my relief, she shook her head. Her next words were even scarier than the thought of my dad leaving.

"We're all leaving together."
