.Chapter o11.

Its weekend and Moonsoo is already having a bad day since he woke up in the morning. He’s not in the mood to get out of his bed as he remembered what event is waiting for him today—he doesn’t want it but he have to do it. He kept his eyes on the door as soon as he woke up and waits for his babysitter to come in without a knock to wake him up. At exactly ten seconds as he counted in his mind, Sungyeol barges in to his room and stops as they look at each other’s eyes

“Oh! You’re awake” Sungyeol was a little shocked but just shrugged his shoulders and went to the walk-in closet “Get yourself out of the bed, brat” He picks a sky-blue casual clothes for Moonsoo and placed it in the bed “We need to clean you up before the guest arrive”

Moonsoo squints his eyes after hearing the word guest and bury his face on his pillow as he speak “I don’t like, I don’t want to meet the hag” His words are muffled but Sungyeol still understand what he was saying

“Look, the more you keep yourself busy, the more this day will end soon, alright?” Sungyeol gave a reassuring smile making Moonsoo groan and lift his body up

The sun light shines through the window, making the mansion’s living room look peaceful and quiet. Myungsoo, in his white long sleeves polo and black sleek pants, was sitting at the long maroon couch and reading a book, he was waiting for Daeryong, one of the twins, to call him for breakfast. He glance up at the vintage clock hanging above the fireplace and saw the time, he sighs heavily and close the book. Just then, Daeryong enters the room and stands beside the couch

“Breakfast is ready Mr.Kim” Daeryong bows and waits for Myungsoo’s order for him to go

Myungsoo place the book beside him and nods at himself before standing up. He turn his body and looks at the butler “Daeryong” He calls

The said butler nods and smile “Yes Mr.Kim?”

Myungsoo looks away and sighs again before looking back to his butler “Do you think what I’m supposed to do now is right?”

Daeryong took a seconds to think a better answer for his master’s question “In my own opinion Mr.Kim, I think you should focus on Moonsoo more before focusing on others”

“But Moonsoo—” Myungsoo stops then continue to say what on his mind for the meeting today “From the looks of him, he really misses having a mother”

“But that doesn’t mean you need to rush things Mr.Kim” Daeryong gave a reassuring smile to his master “Remember how Moonsoo reacted the other day? You should make him feel that he is not alone, that he still have and trust you…” Then Daeryong thought for a second before giving a nice plan for Myungsoo “Maybe you should start with the inner circle—you, me and Soryong, the people who he grew up with…or start with his babysitter”

“Sungyeol?” Myungsoo tilt his head in confusion from mentioning the babysitter “What about Sungyeol?”

“…Sungyeol, I’ve noticed that young master Moonsoo has been clinging to him for days now” Daeryong chuckled “They’ve been hanging out together lately”

Myungsoo raises a brow and reply “What are you trying to say?”

“From what I’ve observed, young master Moonsoo has already developed closeness towards Sungyeol, and you Mr.Kim in the other hand is starting to get further away” Daeryong put his hand above the other “Sungyeol is like a medium between you and your son, he can help you with your issues towards Moonsoo”

“What about the two of you? You and Soryong, can’t you help me?” Myungsoo starts to walk towards the door

“I think the best man for that job is Sungyeol, Mr.Kim, since he’s Moonsoo’s new friend”

Myungsoo stops in front of the door and ponder, then he continue to walk towards the dining room without glancing back to the butler.

In the dining room, while having breakfast, Myungsoo has been watching Sungyeol and his son interact with each other. He noticed that Moonsoo is being obedient to Sungyeol—whenever the babysitter would feed him a spoon of cereal, Moonsoo will take it immediately and waits for the next one to come, and Sungyeol would gave his son a smile before eating his own breakfast. Myungsoo think it’s weird yet amusing

Myungsoo cleared his throat to get the two’s attention “Moonsoo, I would like you to behave later okay? And please don’t judge Doyeon, know her first”

Moonsoo just stared back before looking away and replying an ‘Okay’. Sungyeol also, looks at him before rolling his eyes and goes back on feeding the kid. Myungsoo wanted to pout but he know he shouldn’t

“Moonsoo” Myungsoo tries to get his son’s attention again “Do you want to go somewhere after the meeting with Doyeon?”

Moonsoo looks back at him, then again looks away before replying “No thanks daddy, I like to stay home with Yeol-ah”

Sungyeol snickered at his boss then lean forward and whisper teasingly “You at this things Myungsoo-ah~”

Myungsoo glared at Sungyeol before returning to eat his breakfast. The twins that stands at the side, laughed silently to their master’s reaction.

Myungsoo watches the pearl white Ford SUV stops in front of the mansion, he ordered Soryong to go to the SUV and open the door at the back for the lady. His fiancée went out and smile towards him, he smiled back and walk towards his fiancée to welcome her in his mansion

“It’s nice to finally have you here Doyeon” Myungsoo stops in front of her

Doyeon smiled and looks around “Myungie, I can finally see our future here together” She said and hugged Myungsoo excitedly and kiss his cheek, then let go “So where’s Moonsoo?” She asked, looking for the little kid

“Moonsoo is inside, waiting” Myungsoo leads her to the mansion’s front mahogany double door and Daeryong opens the door for them. Doyeon follows inside, ignoring the others except Myungsoo.

As they enter the living room, Myungsoo spotted his son playing Sungyeol’s smartphone and sitting beside the owner’s phone with a smile. Myungsoo cleared his throat and the two looks up to him

“Moonsoo, Doyeon is finally here, come welcome her” Myungsoo moves a little to the side so that his son can see Doyeon clearly

Moonsoo looks at the lady who has a long black wavy her and was wearing a white dress beside his daddy, she was smiling at him but he just scoffed and rolled his eyes, he jumps off the maroon couch and walk towards the lady in white “Welcome to the mansion Doyeon-ssi, hope you enjoy your stay” He smirked and whisper to his side as he turn back to go back to the maroon couch “Because this will be the last”

Myungsoo heard it and looks back at Doyeon, worried if she heard what his son said, and thankfully from the looks of her face, she didn’t. Doyeon looks at Myungsoo with a smile that never leaves her face

“I think he likes me…so…who’s the young man beside Moonsoo?” She asked

“Oh that’s Sungyeol, Moonsoo’s babysitter” Myungsoo answered and Doyeon just nod.

The couples, mainly Doyeon spend her whole afternoon talking about the plan for their engagement in the living room. Moonsoo and Sungyeol just stayed quiet at the side and unintentionally listens to the woman who talks non-stop. Sungyeol took a glance to the couple’s side and land his eyes on Myungsoo, who just sits there quietly and looking outside the window instead of the papers on the table, he noticed that the man is a little bored and troubled but he hides it well through his stoic face—but nothing can escape Sungyeol’s eyes.

“And for our wedding…Moonsoo” Doyeon called for Moonsoo’s attention and the child looks up from the smartphone “I want you to be the ring bearer”

It was quiet for a moment before Moonsoo puts the smartphone down beside him and jumps off the couch “Hold on!” He walk towards the seats where the couples are “Who says anything about marriage?!”

Moonsoo’s sudden outburst made Doyeon speechless and waking Myungsoo from his trance. Sungyeol stands up from the couch ready to stop the kid if he ever do something that will cause trouble. But Moonsoo just stays in front of the couple’s seats, glaring at the woman who happens to be his daddy’s fiancée

“Do you think I like you for my daddy?” Moonsoo mockingly snickered at the thought of Doyeon being accepted by him “I will never accept you, no matter what you do”

“Moonsoo!” Myungsoo stands up from his seat, eyes on his son

“No! Daddy, she should know that she will never replace mommy in this house!” Moonsoo’s tears started to fall down and he glares back at Doyeon “Get out of my mommy and daddy’s mansion…”

“Moonsoo!” This time it’s Sungyeol who is stopping him

“I hate you…I hate you! I hate you!” Moonsoo shouted at Doyeon and walks out of the living room, he slams the door behind him, leaving all the people inside speechless

Sungyeol sighs and bow his head to his boss, then walks out and calls for Moonsoo’s name.
