.Chapter o10.

Sungyeol was leaning his lower back in the wooden table, he’s in Myungsoo’s office in the mansion. His hands are crossed in front of his chest and his face is stern. Myungsoo sits at the black leatherette couch, holding a glass of white wine, he rest his back at the soft cushion and looks at Sungyeol

“What do you want to talk about Sungyeol?” He take a sip of the white wine “We can have this talk in my room y’know”

Sungyeol sighs and shook his head, he walk towards the couch in front of Myungsoo’s then sits exhaustedly “Why are you doing this to your son? He’s just a kid, this kind of things he’ll be facing right now is too much for him, and you should’ve let him be used to you first before shoving him to some woman you’ve met” He crosses his legs and rest his back at the cushion “Did you know that he saw you brings different women at home?”

Myungsoo stares at his glass then closes his eyes “So you’re saying that I’m a bad father for my son, that I deserved to be treated like that by Moonsoo”

“Honestly speaking, right now, you are and you deserved it”

Myungsoo opens his eyes and looks at the man sitting in front of him “How about you Sungyeol, tell me, from a college student who doesn’t have a child, what should I supposed to do?” He ask mocking the young man

Sungyeol takes a breath and raise a brow “Yeah, I’m still a college student and I don’t have a child so I don’t know what you’re feeling and what you’re going through, but lemme tell you this” He leans forward and takes the glass from Myungsoo’s hand then drinks the remaining white wine “My life is more ed up than yours” He smiled and stands up “Try putting yourself in your son’s situation, you’ll understand what I’m saying” He walk towards the door and opens it but Myungsoo stops him from going out by holding his wrist

“Why are you so concerned about my son?”

Sungyeol looks back and take his wrist slowly “Because I’ve been through what he is going through right now, and tell you what, if it wasn’t for my brothers who helped me, maybe I’m not what I am today” He looks at Myungsoo’s eyes directly “Moonsoo’s mind is more mature than you think, but the way he handle his feelings—nuh-uh…imagine what could happen” Then he walks out and turn right.

Moonsoo wakes up in the middle of the night, he looks at his window and saw the stars. Then he looks at his nightstand to see that his glass of water is already empty, he jumps out of his bed and made his way to the door and gets out. He walk downstairs towards the kitchen but as he was on his way, he heard a shuffling sound coming from the entrance door. He stops and he heard it again, he slowly walk towards the place and saw that someone is sitting in front of the slightly open door, tying its shoelace. He heard the person speak to his Bluetooth speaker attached from his ear. Now he know who the person is

“I’ll be there at exactly thirty minutes alright?” Sungyeol looks back then goes out the door, but before he close it, someone stopped him. He looks back again in horror but he saw no one

“And where are you going Sungyeol-ah?”

Sungyeol looks down and see the brat standing behind him “W-why are you awake? Oh dear god” He breathe out and facepalm himself “Brat, go back to bed”

“Not until you tell me where you’re going or I’ll wake all the person living in this mansion” Moonsoo threatened with an evil smile plastered in his face

Sungyeol squints his eyes “You wouldn’t dare”

Moonsoo grins “Try me”

They stare at each other before Sungyeol begins to make a tantrum in front of the kid. He stops from throwing punches in the air then sighs heavily after he tire himself out “I have a gig tonight okay” He said and surrender

Moonsoo shrugged his shoulder then walk towards the mansion’s entrance patio “I’m coming with you” Then he looks back at Sungyeol “So where is your ride?”

Sungyeol’s eyes widen then he come close to the kid “No no no no no, you are not going anywhere except your bed” He points at the door “Go back in and go back to sleep”

“You can’t order me around, I’m coming with you or we’re both not going anywhere except our bedroom” Moonsoo crosses his arms in front of his chest then smirked.

Sungyeol shows his gritted teeth before groaning in defeat “Uggghhh fine…” He takes the kid’s hand then they walk towards the gate together “But don’t tell your douche dad about this, promise me!” He stopped then offer his pinky finger. Moonsoo looks at it and mockingly chuckled before raising his hand and do the pinky promise with Sungyeol.

Dongwoo and Woohyun were waiting on the backstage. Dongwoo is practicing with his guitar while Woohyun is exercising his vocal, Sungyeol walks in the back door with a kid in his arms that wears his hoodie and the two stops from doing their thing and stares at their friend

“Okay, so I brought a kid with me” Sungyeol starts with his explanation on why he is carrying a child at the club

“We can see that Yeol, don’t state the obvious” Woohyun rolled his eyes

“And why exactly?” Dongwoo asked

Sungyeol puts Moonsoo down on the floor and the kid stands beside him “I have to bring him with me or I will not be here” Dongwoo and Woohyun looks at each other then nod in unison

“So, he’s the brat you told us that you babysit?” Woohyun ask as he stare at Moonsoo “You look like someone I’ve seen in the lunch meeting with my brother” Silence filled the room as Moonsoo and Woohyun stared at each other. But Dongwoo breaks it with a sigh

“So, where will he stay when we get on stage?” Dongwoo asked again

Sungyeol ponders then looks at one of his friend “Hyun, did you bring your date with you? Maybe he can be with Moonsoo for a moment”

Woohyun blinks his eyes and stares at Sungyeol like he is insane “Are you insane?!” He shrieked then coughed “Dude, Sunggyu is a lawyer, he’ll interrogate us on why is a kid doing in a club in the middle of the night!” He said it one go

Then Dongwoo chuckled at the side and stand beside Woohyun “Dude, did you just rapped?”

Woohyun chuckled back and nod “Awesome right? Didn’t know I could do that when I’m pressured” They high-five and laugh

Moonsoo stared at the people surrounds him and shook his head slowly “I’m surrounded by idiots”

Before Sungyeol’s group perform, the three of them finally made a decision and in the end, they brought Moonsoo in Sunggyu’s table, and let the said lawyer guard the child for the mean time while they are performing on stage. The lawyer met Woohyun’s friends and agreed without interrogating questions, and let Moonsoo takes the seat beside him, which is a good thing.

Sungyeol and the others finally can relax and go up the stage without thinking any problem except for their performance—if there’s any.

Moonsoo watches his babysitter gets on stage and starts playing the drums, making the people in the floor shouts and cheer for their band, he never thought that Sungyeol is this influential outside their mansion, he never thought that Sungyeol has this kind of…exciting life. But his thoughts were disturbed by the man sitting beside him

“So what’re you doing here Moonsoo?” Sunggyu ask but still focused his eyes on the stage

Moonsoo just smirked at the question “I’m enjoying my childhood life without my dad, what about you attorney Kim?”

Sunggyu smiled and shrugged his shoulders “Taking a break from work”

Moonsoo nods and the both of them continue to watch and enjoy the performance.

Their performance is over and they are now bidding each other their laters, since they’ll be seeing each other in the university. Woohyun and Sunggyu gets in Woohyun’s car and offer a ride to Sungyeol and Moonsoo, but the two refused—the two were the first one to leave, because Sunggyu still have a case to finish and he’ll be staying in his office with Woohyun. Then Dongwoo is the second with his motorcycle. So, Sungyeol and Moonsoo were the only one left, and they have to cross the street to hail a cab to get home. Sungyeol reaches for the kid’s hand and hold it firmly with a smile

“Let’s go home brat, before your dad wakes up” Then he chuckled “Man, he’ll breathe out fire from his mouth if he finds out about what we did tonight”

Moonsoo smiled to himself and quietly nod, then he tightly hold Sungyeol’s hand as they cross the street.
