Chapter 23
In your Eyes-Onew
You-Lee Taemin
I can’t believe everything that is happening between me and Sulli. It’s insane how angry I am but don’t want to leave her or rather I do not want her to leave me. We just got started and she is already lying to me. How could she be so head over heels when we are together while she still sees that old guy. We are not close, that guy. But I never thought he could say things which makes me want to kill him terribly. The two of us already met each other, for he is my sunbae and a rapper too.
It’s ridiculous too, how I begin to compare myself to him as a performer and a real person.
“You! Back there.”
Uh. Oh.
“This is the hundredth time you are messing up with the steps.” our choreographer scolds me and I just looked at him, not pissed or what, but tired and sorry. “How many times should I tell you to focus, concentrate?” I just looked at him again and I bent my head down. I don’t want to see my members giving me sympathetic looks and I’m ashamed how I am holding them back. The choreographer dramatically touches both of his temples and shifted into a thinking position.
“Minho is not in a good condition.” Key suddenly defending me. True, Jonghyun already told all of them what is the circumstance I am in and I almost got mad at him for that.
“Why? Is he hurt?” questions Tony Testa. I fiddled with my mic stand. “I’m sorry.” Damn. I feel very embarrassed for the fact that he was Michael Jackson’s choreographer and now he is our choreographer for Dream Girl. And I can’t even explain to him in english.
“Alright, I do understand but promise me after the five-minute break I’ll give you, you should give me your best.” I bowed to him in a ninety-degree angle and muttered, “Neh.”
As we were granted the five-minute break, Jonghyun taps me on the back and walks with me to our drinks, “It was not so bad, alright? You can stop thinking about her, bro. I believe you can.” I grabbed my tumbler, “I can stop thinking about her. I won’t think about her.” Jonghyun smiles, “That’s the spirit.” and I chugged down half of my energy drink. “Look at Taemin. He is so happy that MJ’s choregrapher is...”
I wasn’t able to comprehend what Jonghyun was telling me, but one thing I am able to comprehend is that I’m ready to face her.
I’m walking my way to my drama’s set location from where Manager dropped me. Thank heavens I was able to revive my reputation with Tony. He praised me atleast two times though I flunked the first time. My members were left to practice new steps which I already learned in advance, in consideration with my filming schedule.
I decided to clarify things with Sulli. I don’t want us fighting over some guy who isn’t even worthy of my attention. I’m sure the both of us will find a way.
I need to have a word with Sulli before we get into filming. It’s not exactly pleasing to be throwing ad-libbed lines for each other. Making each and every part of the script personal.
As I look for her, a production staff summoned me the schedule for tomorrow’s filming, and as I review it, I will be mostly doing high-jumping. Which I’ll be looking forward to.
I looked over my wrist watch and it read, eight-one in the morning and we will start preparing at nine a.m. So, I still have an hour to clean Sulli and I’s situation. I asked a crew if Sulli is already here and he told me that I think he saw her already. Everything is going into the right place and I am hopeful for our reconciliation.
I rummaged through doors until I found her at last, sitting on a swivel chair while staring into the mirror. The creak sound of door must’ve caught her attention but Sulli immediately broke the eye contact I made. I slowly walked towards her while I find courage to the straps of my back pack and tighten my grasp and gathered all the confidence I need.
I faced Sulli in the mirror and it is clear on her pale face, she is confused and surprised.
“May I talk to you in private?” I asked her with no anger or hatred at all. She stood up which served as her answer. I guided her back as we walked through one of the classrooms. As the both of us got inside, I locked the door and she found herself standing. She is wearing a white sweater and black skin tight leggings. She tied her bangs at the center which exposed her flawless moon-like forehead. True, I’m observing her because suddenly, I have nothing to say but I started anyway with a heavy sigh,
“Let’s not fight anymore, please?”
Her face lit up a bit and she brushed strands just above her nape, “Let’s not.”
“But I demand an explanation from you before I completel
