Mariz went back to the penthouse to rest.  She saw Kim and Pie were laughing at the terrace, she just passed them, she went straight to her room.  Her phone rang, it was Pak calling.

               “Hello?”

               “I’m at the port, come here right now!”

               “I can’t.  I’m with the boss.”

               “I know where you are.  Don’t make me come there.”

               “Shut up!”

               “You shut up!”

               Mariz hanged up the phone and cried.  “Please, I don’t want to do anymore!”

               Pie was about to go to the kitchen to get some juice for Kim.  She heard someone was crying at Mariz’s room.

               “Mariz, are you there?”  Pie knocked at the door.

               Mariz stood up and opened the door.  “Hello, Pie.”

               “Why are you crying?”

               “Nothing.  Personal issues.”

               “Okay, I understand but if you want someone to talk to, I’m here.”

               Mariz nodded.  “Thank you, Pie.”

               “Why you’re home so early?  Where’s Karen?”

               “She’s at the meeting, she let me rest for today.”

               “Good.”  Pie nodded.  “You better rest now, Kim needs juice to drink.”

               Mariz closed the door.

               “What took you so long? I already miss you.”  Kim asked.

               “I talked to Mariz.”  Pie answered.

               “She’s here already?”  Kim asked.

               “She needs some rest.”  Pie answered.

               “I wonder who her boyfriend is.  I want to kick his .”

               “We don’t who her boyfriend is.  We can’t kick butts now.  Here’s your juice baby.”

               “Sweet!”  Kim smiled.

               Kim tried to raise her right hand while drinking.  Her fingers were moving.

               “Look, Pie! My fingers are moving!”

               Pie was amazed.  “Try raising your hand.”

               “I tried to rise but only my fingers were moving.”

               “Try harder.”  Pie kneeled down at the front of wheelchair.

               Kim, raised her hand and she tried to touch Pie’s cheek.

               “I know you can do it!”  Pie cheered.

               Kim did.  She touched Pie’s cheek by her right hand.

               “Oh my God!  You did!”

               “I did, Pie! I did!” Kim shouted.

               Pie stood up to kiss and hug Kim.  “Oh my God, thank you!”

               “Mom will be happy to see this.”

               “Yes, she will.”

               “I hope my right foot too.”

               “Yes, your foot too.”

               The nurse heard Kim shouting, she ran to the terrace to see what was happening.

               “Nurse! Haha! I can move my right hand, look!”

               The nurse cried. “Oh, I’m happy for you, ma’am.”

               “What is happening here?”  Mariz asked.

               “I can move my hand now, Mariz.  Look!”  Kim raised her arm.

               “Wow!  We should celebrate!”  Mariz said.

               “Not now, we must wait Mom first.  Mom must see this.”

               “Okay, I’ll call her.  I have to get my phone.”  Mariz was about to turn around, she saw Pak at the other side of the road standing behind the tree clapping his hands smiling.

               “Hey guys, I think you must get inside now.”  Mariz said.

               “Kim, noticed at Mariz’s eyes, her eyes looked scared.  She looked at the road, Kim saw nothing but cars and people walking on the road.

               “Nurse, take Kim inside.  Pie, let’s go inside now.”  Mariz instructed.   

               Mariz, went to her room to get her phone.  She texted Karen about Kim’s progress.  Karen called right away after she read the message.

               “That’s good news!  I will cancel all the meetings after this, we must celebrate tonight.  Tell Kim, I’ll be home early.”

               “Madam, I have also something to tell you.”

               “What is it? Wait, we will talk later, okay?”

               “Yes, madam.”

               “How are you by the way?”

               “I’m getting better, madam.”

               “Good, see you all tonight.”

               She went out from her room to tell everybody about the news.  She stopped when she saw everybody was happy.  Her tears fell down looking at Kim’s eyes were sparkling.  She decided it was Pak who shot the nurse and tried to worse Kim’s condition.  “Pak must be stopped and I don’t care if I go to jail too.”
