Jonghyun couldn’t focus, especially when the feeling of absolute pain and fear was raking up and down his body. Slowly he blinked his eyes open and tried to ignore the burning feeling from the intense heat. The first thing he noticed was the darkness, not pitch black, just the dullness in color, like his vision was blurry. The second thing he noticed was the face of a man a mere five inches away from his face.

He felt himself scream but no sound came out. He could not hear and as he went to scream again as intense pain shot through him, he realized he could not speak.

He saw the man move his hand up and suddenly every sense came back to him.

He heard screaming coming from all over, as he turned man body and looked around he saw people writhing on the floor in obvious pain. He wanted to help them and he bent to help an elderly man stand up and he felt more pain. The screaming intensified and he realized that it was him screaming, not the others.

He felt himself collapse and soon his throat became hoarse and dry from screaming so long. As the pain continued he lost his voice, no sound coming out.

He quickly realized he was like the other people writhing on the floor, reaching for someone, anyone to help them.

He closed his eyes and said a prayer in his head asking for it to stop; and it did.

As he opened his eyes and looked up he noticed that it was bright, the complete opposite from before. He was in a small meadow, a long paved path leading to a brilliant gold city, beside him was a well, and from it he could hear screaming. He looked to the movement to the left of him and saw the man again but this time he wasn’t scared.

The man smiled down at him and he couldn’t help but smile back. He offered his hand it was then that he noticed what He looked like.

He looked young but the barely noticeable lines on his forehead said otherwise, his long brown hair tied behind his head, his golden brown eyes, and lastly his small plump lips. He hadn’t had the chance to look at him through the darkness earlier. He was wearing a cream robe and had no shoes. Jonghyun thought it weird.

He quirked his eyebrow and gave him an annoyed look. “Well are you going to take my hand or not?” His voice was like soft velvet.

Immediately Jonghyun stood up and took his hand. Slowly they made their way towards the golden city. He wanted to ask questions but he felt that he already knew the answers.

He was in Heaven, and just earlier he had been in Hell.
