Shot # 8
Jet-Coaster LoveJessica's POV
Yuri and Sooyoung didn't come to school yesterday because they told me they had a shoot, so I was stuck with Hyosung and Ji-na. I'm glad that no crowd surrounded them, though. Even though they're with Yuri. I hope they come to school today.
"Yo, Jessica."
I turned my head to see who that was. It was Sooyoung!! My prayer was answered.
"Good Morning, Sooyoung."
"Missed me?" she asked as I giggled.
"What?"
"Nothing."
I've been close with Sooyoung since that day, when I joined them for lunch. She seems so mature than Yuri and the others...But I don't hate them. Sooyoung is just like...she's on the top of my list.
"So what happened yesterday?" Sooyoung asked as she slammed her bag on her table, sitting. I recalled what happened yesterday.
"Oh. They discussed stuff about the Sports Festival again."
"They never get tired of that."
"I know."
And she kind of understands me!
"Ah. Excuse me, Jessica!" Sooyoung suddenly said as she grabbed her ringing phone from her bag. "Yo, Yuri."
Yuri? Why was she calling Sooyoung? Isn't she at school?
"Yeah. I will. After class ends, okay? Bye!" then I think she hung up.
"Where's Yuri?" I asked. Yuri was always present up until now.
"Yuri took a day off. She's sick because she had too much smoothies to drink." She got sick because of smoothies? That was possible?
"Why don't you text her?" Sooyoung asked me as she opened a tin full of candies. "Oh. Do you want some?" she offered. I declined, since it was still early for sweets.
"I-I don't have a cellphone." I answered, feeling a bit ashamed. But I never wanted a phone anyway. I think phones are a hassle. But some still make fun of me because when being asked for my number, I give our home number. But that's it.
"Why don't you get one?"
"Isn't it hard?"
"Not really."
Then our homeroom teacher arrived, but she was in her tracksuit. "I will be subbing for your gym teacher, since she's on leave."
Oh yeah. Today is that day. I hate gym.
"Jessica, do you have an extra shirt?" Sooyoung asked me as she continued to eat her candy. I nodded.
"Can I borrow it? I promise to wash it."
"Yeah. Sure." Then I handed her my white shirt. She took a look and laughed.
"Care Bears? Really?" Sooyoung said as she laughed some more.
"What? I think they're cute!"
"Jung and Choi! Stop your noise and stand outside!"
"Thanks a lot, Sooyoung."
"Hey, Don't mention it."
Then she just laughed as she grabbed her tin can of candies.
"Hey, Sooyoung, can I have some?"
"Sure. Here you go. This is melon, melon is good."
"Thanks."
As the candy went inside my mouth, a bittersweet taste exploded in my mouth. It was kind of sour, too. But it was good.
