It has been nearly a week since Nana last saw Yuri. The blonde knew the tanned beauty was probably busy with her group’s comeback. Somehow a part of her had hoped that Yuri would have at least texted her saying thanks or something but once again, her hopes was crushed.

Taeyeon was trying to catch up with Yuri before the younger girl could disappear again.

“Yuri! Kwon Yuri!!” Taeyeon yelled, cursing at the younger one for having the habit of blasting music with her earphones. Taeyeon ran as fast as she could (she totally blamed her short legs for this but then again, she didn’t want to admit she has short legs).

Finally catching up with Yuri, Taeyeon grabbed Yuri’s shoulder. Surprised, Yuri turned around and saw a panting Taeyeon.

“Oh Taeyeon. Did you need something?” Yuri was curious as to why Taeyeon had been chasing her. She did mention that she would be coming home late before she left the practice room.

“Ha-ha-have yo-you,” Taeyeon couldn’t finish her sentence because Yuri had cut her off by telling her to shut up and breathe properly. After a few minutes of calming down, Taeyeon asked again, “Have you talked to Nana?”

Yuri raised her left eyebrow. Since when was Taeyeon interested in Nana?

“Yah Kim Taeyeon, it’s wrong to cheat on Jessica! I get that Nana is a gorgeous blonde and has a nice but that doesn’t mean you can cheat on my bestfriend!” Yuri was about to continue her lecture when Taeyeon signaled her to stop.

“I don’t want to die at an early age, especially if the murderer is my own girlfriend. Look, I just wanted to ask if you have been talking to Nana.”

“Ohhhh. Well, uh, not really, actually no. I don’t know how to contact her.”

Taeyeon inwardly groaned. She needed the two to start going out with each other in order for her Make Im Yoona Jealous plan to work. “You mean she didn’t leave you any note that has her number on it or something?”

“Hmm nope.”

Taeyeon swore that she saw the note on Yuri’s bedside table. Jessica was there too! But of course, she can’t expose the fact that she and her girlfriend had snuck into YoonYul’s room as soon as Nana had left.

“Why?”

“Nothing. I should get going. Don’t want HellSica to appear now do we?” Taeyeon was about to leave because she had to inform Jessica about this new discovery.

“Hey Tae,” Yuri called out to the older girl causing the latter to turn around, “Do you by any chance have Nana’s number? I wanna properly thank her.”

Taeyeon couldn’t help but to grin. Oh her plan was working fine. Then it hit her; she didn’t have Nana’s number. FUUUUUUUU!!!

“Uh, no. But I have Kahi unni’s number. Maybe I can ask her. I’ll text you her number.”

Yuri nodded before thanking the leader and leaving the building. Seeing that Yuri is now out of sight, Taeyeon could not help but to jump for joy.

It didn’t even take Taeyeon 10 minutes to get Nana’s number. The leader had sent Yuri the number with an annoying smirk emoji.

Yuri was in her car and was slightly hesitant to contact Nana. She didn’t know if she should call Nana up or text her.

After much contemplation, she decided to just give the blonde girl a call. No harm, right?

It only took three dial tones (but Yuri felt like it was forever) before the blonde had answered the call.

“H-he-hello?” Yuri stuttered, quickly face palming herself.

“HAI!! Can I help you?”

“Is this Nana?” The voice was way too bright and cheerful for someone as blunt as Nana.

“Uh no. This is Lizzy. Who are you?” Ahh~ that explained the cheerfulness.

“I’m Yuri. I wanted to talk to Nana.”

“Oh hi unni. Hold on. IM JIN AH! YURI UNNI IS ON THE PHONE!”

“YAH PARK SOOYOUNG! WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT ANSWERING MY CALLS?” Yuri heard someone yelling at Lizzy from the back and there was a loud crash. The next thing she heard was this high pitch squeal/laughter that sounded like a monkey (and worse than Jessica’s dolphin scream).

“Hello?”

“Hey. It’s Yuri unni.”

Nana was trying hard not to squeal but she tried to keep it cool, “Uh yeah. Hi unni.”

“Are you free now? I was wondering if I could take you out to dinner at a café nearby your dorm. I heard the pasta there is pretty good.”

“Sure. I just finished practice.”

“I can pick you up from your company. Just stay there. I’ll be there in about 20 minutes.”

Nana was standing at the front of her company with her two other members. The other two had wanted to be sure that it was Yuri who would be fetching Nana and not some ert. A familiar Mini Cooper was in sight and Nana couldn’t contain her excitement.

“She’s here! You girls can go now.”

“Okay. Don’t do anything funny or Jung Ah unni will kill you.”

Nana nodded at Raina’s reminder while Lizzy helped Nana adjust her shirt.

“Have fun.” Lizzy tried to smile but it seemed like the most difficult thing to do right now.

Yuri had parked her car and got out of it. She then stood at the passenger’s seat.

“Are you ready?” Yuri asked to which Nana simply nodded her head. The older one then opened the door for Nana. After making sure Nana was comfortable, she moved to the driver’s side and got in the car.

The drive from the company to the café was pretty awkward. Both had wanted to say something but wasn’t sure about what to say. Thankfully the café was only a 10 minutes drive.

The two were now happily having their desserts after finishing their main course, which was of course, pasta. They had also warmed up to each other and had talked about the usual things like their comebacks, members’ habits and facts about themselves.

Nana couldn’t help but to be curious about why Yuri had suddenly asked her out for dinner.

The black pearl gave a soft smile before answering, “Well, uh, I wanted to thank you again, for that day. I had wanted to call you the moment I woke up but I didn’t have your number.”

The younger blonde almost choked on her piece of cake.

“I did leave my number on your bedside table.”

“You did??” Yuri’s eyes went wide. She was sure that there was nothing on her bedside table or anywhere in her room even.

“Yeah. Well that’s ok. You have my number now.” Nana continued eating her cake.

Yuri instantly felt bad.

“I’m sorry it took me a while to get your number. I would have contacted you as soon as possible. I really am sorry.” Yuri apologized, head bowing slightly as she played with the cake on her plate.

The next thing surprised them both. Nana had raised Yuri’s head and then giggled before using her thumb to swipe against the sides of Yuri’s lips.

“You eat like a kid, unni.” Yuri felt her neck burning and her cheeks felt warm. She was sure she was blushing. “Aigo! You’re blushing! So cute!” Nana pinched Yuri’s cheeks. When she realized what she had just done, she quickly retreated her hands and now it was her turn to stare at her plate.

Job well done Im Jin Ah. You have just embarrassed yourself and possibly traumatized your idol.

Yuri cleared after composing herself. “Let’s take a walk at the park nearby.”

The two were now sitting at a bench in the park. Each had a cup of hot coffee in their hands to warm themselves up in this chilly night. They had stopped talking for a little while, only enjoying the silence that embraced the two.

“Unni, what’s your ideal type?” Nana decided to break the silence.

Yuri was slightly taken aback by the random question. She hesitated to tell Nana about her preferences.

“Well, I like someone with thin lips, wide eyes, has a lovely laughter that I don’t mind listening to for the rest of my life and when they laugh, their mouth will open as wide as an alligator’s, they have to be strong too.”

Nana chuckled. Yuri had basically just described the doe-eyed girl she had met last week. “You’re talking about Yoona unni right?”

Once again, Yuri was taken aback by how blunt this girl could be. Yuri merely nodded her head.

“Let me guess. You love her. She doesn’t love you, seeing how she’s dating that guy. You can’t get over her so you went out to drink to drown your sorrows.”

Yuri’s jaw had dropped. Was she that obvious?

“Yes, you were obvious about it. You mistook me for her when you were drunk.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be. It isn’t your fault. She’s too blind to see that you’re the perfect person for her.”

“Oh God! Don’t tell me you’re one of those YoonYul troopers!” Yuri tried to joke around.

As they were laughing, they didn’t realize that they were no longer alone in the park. A couple was also having their date here. They were taking a stroll in the park when one of them spotted two familiar figures laughing loudly. The bright smile on her face changed to a frown at the sight that she was seeing in front of her.

For some unknown reason, she felt a pang in her heart. She wasn’t sure if she should be happy the girl has moved on or jealous because she is no longer the one who can make the black pearl laugh. 

Hey hey! :D A quick update. Sorry I was busy during the weekend so I couldn't update this. Well, that's Yuri and Nana on a "date".

Barely any TaengSic or YoonYul here. Are you disappointed? I am too. LOLOLOLOLOL

But I'm sure my smart readers can already figure out who are the couple in the park together with Yuri and Nana.
