Chapter 1
Qualified Without QualificationsI’m running late.
Oh . I’m late. I’m late. I’M LATE.
Why do I have to wake up late? Why?
I’ll be fired. I can’t even. I spent four months before I got this job.
This can’t be! Ugh! My boss won’t fire me.
I trust him. I believe in him. I idolize him (Actually, that’s a lie). I love him.
Wait. Can I vomit now?
That’s the worst thing I’ve ever said.
I shook my head and speed up my pace. The vehicles might slow me down, it’s better walking.
I looked over my shoulder to see the flow of traffic.
Oh. They’re fast-moving. Fine. Never mind.
I sighed as a sign of relief as I swiped my card on the entrance of the building.
I was walking briskly, looking straight up
I fell down. What. The. Hell.
“Can’t you see I need to—sir.” I shivered at the sight of my boss
“Ms. Lu, you’re fired”
I knew it. This would definitely do that.
I scratched my nape. “Sir, another chan—“
“No. Now pack up”
“Sir—“
“Do you have a weak mind? Pack up!”
I stormed out of his sight and went straight to my desk.
I get my box under my table and unconsciously pile everything.
And all those disorganized stuffs are gone.
“I’m so sorry to hear that,” Tao says while applying red lipstick
“,” I mutter
“I seriously hate your mouth,” she retorts and rolls her eyes
“I seriously hate you, everything about you.” I kick her desk and carry my box
I, Lu Han, promise to never let anyone make me feel inferior. Starting today ’til the day that I die.
I’ve been waiting to get on her. Since all the time, I’ve been this ‘nice-even-if-you-hate-me’ type. But now, I’ve made an oath. To myself.
“Oh!” I massage my hips and look up to the man in a black suit with neatly brushed up hair who bumped me.
He’s just looking at me, without reaction
“Mind helping me?”
He glances at his watch. “Help yourself”
He starts walking past me.
“Hey you! Can’t you see that I’m in the middle of depression?! Look at what you’ve done to my things! I don’t care if you’re in a suit. You should take responsibility of helping me!”
He and his bodyguards (I think) stop walking and face me.
“Ms. Whoever-you-are, whatever you say, I don’t care. It’s not my fault if you’re not looking ahead”
I lower my head slightly. I’m flustered with that.
“Now, stop being this pitiful girl. You have hands to pick your things up”
“I’m not being pitiful, you bastard!”
He shakes his head.
“Is she an employee here?” he asks the nearest person to him, which happens to be Tao, unfortunately.
“She got fired.” She grins
“Not pitiful, huh?” he smirks. “Then let me change it. You’re awful.” He turns away with his bodyguards.
I pick up the mess and put it in the stupid box.
I walk with my head held high and leave my card on the front desk.
Think positive. I’ll get a new job soon.
I just need to get these stuffs back home and maybe I’ll try tomorrow.
No need to rush, right?
And he’s now on my hate-list, as a matter of fact.
And I’m giving him a name with ‘bastard’ on it.
Hmm… Lemme think
I think I got it.
His name would be ‘Bastard in a Black Suit’
I march down the streets. I won’t dare take a peek on my wallet. I’m running out of cash.
How pitiful—awful—err. OK. I’m dead.
Without a job and without money, how can I live?
This is… This is—WTF?
Oh please, I don’t have anything left.
Just my baby, Yixing—no. I have my tablet, laptop, jewelries, and everything in my apartment.
The lights are switched on. I remember switching them off before I went out.
Wait what?
Don’t tell me I’m being robbed!
A/N: Yixing is <3 LOL I mean… Yixing XD You’ll discover something on the next chapter about Yixing ;)
