She moved from to side to side on her bed, her mind showing signs of stress and her body performing them. She groaned, she just couldn’t stop feeling this way. Taeyeon glued her eyes on the ceiling, stopped moving for a minute and tried to relax and think calmly of what to do.

Tiffany invited Taeyeon to her birthday reunion on Monday organized by Jessica at the bar she works at. ‘We’ve grow close and I hoped you could be there too’ the younger girl said to her and Taeyeon felt a wave of sudden happiness, a wave that made her want to say ‘Of course I’ll be there’ but instead she chose to lie and said that even though she wanted to be there she wasn’t sure, because work and blab la bla stuff that were mere excuses and Taeyeon just wished Tiffany didn’t realize they were.

 

“Oh… I see, but I hope you won’t be that busy that day”

“I’ll try my best to be there. I’ll tell you on Thursday”

 

Taeyeon closed her eyes and massaged her temple in order to avoid the headache that it was about to come.

Things kind of changed for Taeyeon after her mother’s call last saturday. Is not like they fought or anything, it was the opposite. Her mother actually asked her for the opportunity of meeting Tiffany again. For the opportunity to start again. And Taeyeon couldn’t be more than happy to have this opportunity, this chance of her own family getting along with Tiffany, of loving and accepting this baby as part of them. And this is exactly why later that day, at the middle of the night, she realized something.

Her feelings for Tiffany were getting in the way.

She just couldn’t feel this way about Tiffany anymore, not after realizing how much this would affect not only herself and Tiffany but also her family. She just couldn’t deal with this anymore. These feelings needed to stop but at the same time she didn’t want to push Tiffany away. She was really confused.

The past few days she put her attention on work, trying to spend less time with the pregnant girl and at the same time trying to bury down the feelings that now made her feel ashamed of herself.

But she was selfish. Taeyeon frowned still lying on her bed, frowned and closed her eyes thinking how selfish she was. She kept her mother’s call a secret from Tiffany and at first she wanted to believe that it was because she didn’t want to distress Tiffany before her birthday and the visit to her dad’s house but now she believed that it was because when Tiffany finally finds out about this, Taeyeon would need to let of go of her for real and a part of her still didn’t want to let go.

But why did she care this much? She felt scared of not having control over this.

Today was Thursday, the day Jessica decided it would be fun to celebrate Tiffany’s birthday because they will be able to wish her happy birthday exactly at 12 am. The day she would need to give her ‘answer’ to Tiffany. Would she be able to grow closer to Tiffany and stop falling for her at the same time? Or she actually needs to put a gap between them?

 

Taeyeon opened her eyes slowly… was she actually falling for her?

 

She heard multiple knocks on the door that made her go back to reality.

“Yes?” Taeyeon asked unsurely, knowing that it was Tiffany.

“Tae, breakfast is ready. Get up lazy it’s almost time for you to go to work”

Taeyeon smiled for a bit at her words, she was actually awake since 6 am. That was 2 hours ago.

“I’m coming!” she shouted with a happy tone, trying to act normal with Tiffany.

She released a defeated sigh and got up from bed, checked her hair on the mirror close to her wardrobe and with a heavy heart got out of the room.

Tiffany was already dressed and Taeyeon guessed she was just waiting for her to get out from her room and have breakfast together. She was sitting but Taeyeon could still observe her growing tummy and a sudden warm feeling invaded her. She smiled and kept her thoughts to herself and sat on the kitchen stool.

 

“Sorry if you had to wait for me” Taeyeon said apologetic.

“Nah, it’s fine. You know I like company when I eat” Tiffany showed her one of her eyesmile that Taeyeon liked too much.

She smiled and then said, “Well, let’s eat then”

They ate in silence and Taeyeon guessed it was because Tiffany was waiting for her to mention if she would be able to attend her small party but Taeyeon won’t be the one bringing that up when she still doesn’t know what to say.

After they finished Tiffany spoke, “So Tae… I was wondering if you are going to be busy today or you’ll finally have a free day?” Tiffany joked but Taeyeon could hear a hint of nervousness

there.

Taeyeon chuckled for a brief moment, “Um-“

“I mean, can you come today?” Tiffany asked directly this time and Taeyeon stared at her for a while.

Taeyeon dropped her gaze before staring at the girl in front of her again.

“I… I want to be there Tiffany” she said with real sincerity and could feel how her pause and sad tone was noticed because Tiffany wasn’t smiling anymore, “But I have to work on something today… I’m sorry”

She dropped her head, not daring to meet Tiffany’s eyes yet after her lie. She felt sad but that was her decision.

“Oh” Tiffany mentioned and Taeyeon had to lift her gaze.

After some seconds she continued, “Ah- It’s ok, Tae… I understand. The fact that you want to be there is what it counts” she gave Taeyeon a small smile that broke part of her heart.

“I’ll call you anyway, at 12 am o clock. I’ll be the first one” she grinned at Tiffany, trying to ease the tension of the conversation.

“I’ll wait for your call then”

Tiffany smiled and the older girl was slightly relieved but the truth was that Taeyeon, in front of Tiffany’s eyes, put ‘work’ first before their growing bond and the younger girl was most likely disappointed on her.

And that hurt.

Tiffany and Jessica were decorating the bar with balloons and typical birthday things while Yuri cleaned the place. The ‘party’ was going to start at 8 pm but they wanted to have everything ready by the time Donghae comes to prepare the drinks for the people coming. Yoona and some friends Jessica and Tiffany met while working on the bar were going to be here in a few hours and Tiffany felt ready to tell them she was pregnant.

Tiffany was excited, yes, but she felt slightly down and the reason was Taeyeon.

“Everything is looking nice, right Tiff?” Jessica asked with a grin that made Tiffany smile instantly.

She nodded, “Thanks to you and your good taste at this stuff”

Her blonde smiled, “Let’s thank Yuri too for cleaning so hard”

They both laughed while looking at Yuri acting shy. It was funny how Yuri still was a little shy with them and always tried to do her best in her tasks.

“Thanks Yuri. And you’re going to stay for the party. I don’t take ‘no’ for an answer” Tiffany said playfully and Yuri grinned and nodded with a ‘of course’.

The small talk with them made Tiffany feel in a better mood so she tried to forget anything Taeyeon related-

“So Tiff, is Taeyeon coming?” Jessica casually asked while asking Yuri to help her move some tables.

She sighed with her back facing her boss, knowing that forgetting Taeyeon, even if it was just today, wouldn’t be possible.

“She has work” She answered with her back still turned and continued putting some balloons.

“Oh? But doesn’t she leave work at 6 pm? tell her to come for a while” Jessica said seemly oblivious to Tiffany’s feelings.

“She is busy” Tiffany said curtly.

There was some seconds of silence and Tiffany knew Jessica already realized she didn’t want to talk about it. But knowing her best friend, she’ll ask what’s going on. How to explain what was going on?

She slowly turned towards her friend, feeling her stare on her. Jessica had a small frown on her face.

“Did you two have a fight again?” she asked.

Tiffany sighed, “No, we didn’t”

Jessica watched her for a few seconds before turning towards Yuri, resuming her task.

“Don’t be mad at her, Tiff. Sometimes work can be a , is not her fault”

Tiffany furrowed her brows with her eyes fixed on the ground.

Was she being selfish? She didn’t say anything to Taeyeon but for a while she was mad at her indeed. Maybe Taeyeon just couldn’t come and she was just being irrational but a part of her mind thought there was something else. Taeyeon has been acting different again even if it wasn’t as obvious as before. Less caring. And work could be a valid reason but…

She sighed at her own thoughts.

Tiffany’s been paying too much attention to Taeyeon and her feelings for her that she overthinks too much and expects things from her that she shouldn’t expect.  She wasn’t mad or angry anymore, but she can’t deny she was sad. Taeyeon didn’t want to make an effort on being with her in her birthday and it hurt. Was she being selfish? Tiffany thinks so. Her feelings for Taeyeon were really selfish knowing in what position they were at but still she couldn’t help but feel and think of her and today, her heart felt sad at the thought of Taeyeon.

 

 “Are you ok?” Jessica asked Tiffany, facing her. Tiffany didn’t even see her coming, she was in deep thought.

“Yeah, totally” Tiffany smiled, trying not to look weird and went to the kitchen to grab some cookies.

Jessica was already suspecting a lot and she knew the questions were going to come sooner, but not today, Jessica wouldn’t ask about this on her birthday. And today was a day she wished to be a good day so she decided to let heavy thoughts go and just enjoy herself.

“Unnie, is time to leave already” Seohyun laughed at Taeyeon while she took her bag.

Taeyeon gave her a small smile, “I’m actually planning to work on the project for a bit”

Seohyun didn’t react and just stared at her.

“Wh-What?” Taeyeon asked uncomfortable under the stare of her younger friend.

“Again? You know unnie, I think you’re avoiding something” Seohyun said as she sat again on her usual chair.

Taeyeon avoided her stare and tried to focus her mind on the numbers on her computer screen, “Now I can’t advance with my work?”

“The project is almost finished and it has to be presented in a month”

Taeyeon glanced at Seohyun and noticed she was being watched, trying to get an answer from her with her eyes. But the tall girl didn’t know about Tiffany’s birthday or about her mother’s call, and that was Taeyeon’s advantage.

“Everything is fine, Seohyun. I just want to work on this. It’s early” Taeyeon said calmly while looking at her.

Seohyun sighed, not really believing her but it was enough for Taeyeon. Seohyun isn’t the type of person who insisted on questions so she stood up and grabbed her bag again.

“Ok. You know you can tell me everything, right?” she said with a smile.

Taeyeon smiled back, “Of course”. Not ‘everything’ though.

Seohyun walked to the elevator to leave the building. As she waited for the elevator to come she said:

“This week you’ve been looking down, especially today-“ Taeyeon was about to talk but Seohyun stopped her with her hand and continued, “and if you continue avoiding things, you’re just gonna feel worse”

The elevator doors opened and Seohyun got inside, waved to Taeyeon and then the doors closed. Taeyeon continued to stare to the elevator and rested her back on the chair. She lifted her head and fixed her eyes on the ceiling. She wanted to cry.

The bar didn’t open today because of the party that has already started. Donghae mixed drinks while he laughed with Yuri, more people were coming and one of them was Yoona. Tiffany saw her and run to her to hug her.

“Hey thanks for coming!” Tiffany said excitedly after breaking the hug.

Yoona shook her head, “Of course I’d come!” she lowered her gaze to her tummy and touched it before asking, “So how are the baby and you feeling?”

Tiffany smiled, “Everything is fine. Sometimes I still feel dizzy but I can control it now”

They walked towards a table and sat.

Yoona asked, “Do everyone already know you are pregnant?”

Tiffany shook her head but she believed some of them already noticed her tummy was bigger and she wasn’t fat. At least she caught Donghae looking at her.

“I will tell them some time before 12 am”

Yoona smiled and squeezed her shoulder reassuringly.

 

“Hey Yoong!” They heard Jessica’s voice and then Jessica sat on Yoona’s lap.

“Unnie! You’re heavy please!” The taller girl said playfully and Jessica hit her softly on the arm. Tiffany had to laugh at the scene in front of her.

“Haven’t you missed you favorite unnie?” Jessica said with a smile.

Yoona stared at Tiffany and lowered her voice, as if Jessica couldn’t hear them even if she was beside them, “Is she drunk already?” Tiffany laughed while clapping her hands at Jessica’s reaction.

“For your information, I’m not drunk not even tipsy” she stared at Tiffany, “yah Tiffany, don’t make fun of me just because you can’t join me”

Tiffany chuckled again before Yoona asked something that made her stop.

“Where’s Taeyeon unnie?”

Tiffany big smile turned a thin line for a moment before she gave Yoona an awkward small smile.

“Uh. I think I’ll come back later” Jessica said as she stood up from Yoona’s lap and went to make Yuri drink.

Yoona raised her eyebrows a little confused with Jessica’s actions.

“Something wrong?” She asked this time.

Tiffany shook her head, “No. Umm, Taeyeon had work today so she can’t join us” she gave Yoona a small smile.

Yoona nodded, “Ah. I see. That’s a shame. I wanted to know more about her”

Tiffany suddenly remembered Taeyeon’s words.

“She told me she likes you. I think she likes you more than she likes Jessica” She chuckled.

Yoona widened her eyes for a second and then laughed, “Maybe Jessica unnie’s protective nature with you scared her a bit?”

It was Tiffany’s turn to laugh again, “Who knows”

It was the first time after her talk with Taeyeon that she actually smiled at the thought of her. It was just cute to imagine her being scared of Jessica.

She grabbed her phone and stared at it, it was 9 pm already. No calls or messages from Taeyeon, not that she expected anything but she just… missed her.

Donghae suddenly came into the view with a tray with two drinks.

“This is for you, Yoona” he put the alcoholic drink in front of her while she thanked him.

“And this one is for you” he smiled at Tiffany while putting the drink on the table.

“Thanks Donghae but I can’t- I won’t be drinking tonight” she said apologetic and a little awkwardly.

“It doesn’t have alcohol, Jessica told me you wouldn’t be drinking tonight. It’s a pretty yummy strawberry non-alcoholic juice made by me” he smiled at her.

“Ah. Thanks Donghae” she smiled at him in gratitude and sipped some of her drink that was really really good.

Donghae and Yoona talked for a while before she mentioned, “Donghae this is great!”

He laughed, “Thanks”.

They talked for a bit before Jessica came with Yuri, her sister and another male friend laughing and joking. They talked happily but Tiffany from time to time couldn’t help but to stare at her phone wishing for someone’s call.

Taeyeon opened her eyes slowly, adjusting to the light of the cold place. She was a little disoriented, not really knowing where she was until she noticed the elevator in front but quite far. She fell asleep at work and her back hurt from the position.

She stood up and stretched, “Damn. I should stop falling asleep like this”

She grabbed her phone and saw the time. 9 pm. She fell asleep for 3 hours, most likely because of the lack of sleep at night.

She suddenly thought of Tiffany and wondered what the younger girl was doing. She was probably having fun with her friends and that thought made her smile to herself. But she also wondered if Tiffany thought of her, at least for a bit.

“Jesus Taeyeon, stop thinking about her” she massaged her forehead before grabbing her bag and leaving the building.

 

She drove with no destination in mind. It was 10 pm and she drove for almost an hour and was getting tired.

An urge of going to Red Lips suddenly invaded her, surprising Tiffany in her party and spend time with her but she tried to suppress it. She should focus on what she decided this morning. She turned around the car and decided to visit Sunny.

She parked her car in front of ‘Eyes’, that was the name of the bar. The name was never as noticeable and that’s why it was rare to read it. For her it was only Sunny’s bar. She chuckled at that fact and stared at the place. Young people smiling and laughing together were getting inside. Taeyeon was about to get out of the car and do the same when she saw couples entering, she sighed while watching them and decided to just sit in the park in front of the bar.

Tiffany grabbed her drink and a fork and made noise to catch people’s attention. The people stopped talking and put all her attention on her. She caught Yoona’s stare and the tall girl nodded at her and Tiffany smiled. Jessica moved from where she was to stand beside her. She grabbed her hand for a second and Tiffany thanked her for her support in a low voice. Jessica’s face was quite red because of the drinks and it made Tiffany chuckle. It eased her nervousness.

Saying she was expecting in the party was something Tiffany decided quietly in the past week, without telling anyone. She didn’t tell Jessica, Yoona or Taeyeon because she didn’t want to disappoint if she backed down but today she really felt ready to do it. The baby is a beautiful thing to her and she wanted to share her feelings with close friends.

“I’ve wanted to say what I’m about to say for a while but didn’t know how. Being honest, I was-I’m a little afraid of your reactions” Tiffany spoke while posing her eyes on her glass.

“I’m sure you’ve already noticed it anyway” she chuckled to herself, took a deep breath and continued.

“First of all, thanks for coming… I appreciate your effort of coming here to greet me even if everyone is a little busy with their lives” She smiled while looking at each one of her friends.

“I feel now that keeping this from you is like showing I don’t trust you or that we can’t be close enough and that’s not what I want so…” she took a deep breath again.

“I want to let you know I’m pregnant” she gave a small smile to the small crowd who were looking in between surprised and serious.

“And yes the father is Jiwoong but you know… yeah” she said awkwardly and sad at remembering the fact that Jiwoong was dead.

“I know what you’re all thinking… I just want to say that at first I was unsure with this, scared, unhappy and felt unlucky” Tiffany lowered her gaze and frowned but then her frown turned into a smile.

“But now” she grinned at the people, “I feel happy. I never knew what it was to have a mother by my side and I want to be a mother to this baby, a good mother…  no matter in what kind of situation I am. I feel glad of having this baby” she teared a bit while looking at the people and turned towards Jessica when she felt her hand touch her own.

“Congratulations!” she heard Krystal, Jessica’s sister, say surprising Tiffany. Almost instantly everyone’s serious expression turned into happy smiles and got close to her while shouting congratulations.

Tiffany surprised eyes changed to an eyesmile full of gratitude when her friends made a group hug.

“Look it’s 12 am!” Yuri shouted and everyone turned their attention towards the clock on the wall for a second before screaming happy birthday to Tiffany.

“Yah guys! You’re going to crush the baby”” Tiffany said and immediately everyone got away with a scared expression on their faces, an expression that made Tiffany laugh hard.

“I’m just kidding people” she said and everyone laughed with her. She felt so loved.

A sudden vibration coming from the table beside her surprised Tiffany and took all of her attention. She rapidly grabbed her phone to see if it was the call she was not so secretly wanting.

When she finally had her phone in her hands she realized that it wasn’t a call, but a text from Taeyeon.

‘Hey Fany, happy birthday! I hope you’re having a great time, eat a lot for the baby too (:’

She frowned.

A text? Seriously? Not even a call. She wasn’t just sad anymore, she was disappointed. It was like she didn’t care at all, certainly not the Taeyeon she knows. She gripped her phone for few moments before finally putting it inside her purse again. She won’t let this affect her good mood anymore.

“Everything ok, Fany?” Donghae said standing up beside her.

Tiffany looked at him for a moment, “Yes. Don’t worry”

Donghae nodded, “Wanna dance?” Tiffany grinned and nodded.

 

Maybe dancing could keep her from thinking of the older girl’s behavior.

Taeyeon’s been staring at her phone screen for almost 15 minutes. No reply from Tiffany and she now wondered if what she did was the worst thing she could have done. She facepalmed, she was really stupid, a text? Now Tiffany might be hating her. God.

“What’s wrong with you?”

Taeyeon jumped at the sudden voice behind her, scared. She turned around to see Sunny looking at her with curious eyes.

“You almost gave me heart attack!” Taeyeon put her hand on her heart and calmed down.

“Sorry about that” Sunny said while sitting beside her under the tree she was, “I just couldn’t help but to stare at your obvious frustration… what are you doing here anyway?” Sunny mentioned.

“I… didn’t feel like coming inside the bar” Taeyeon said casually while staring ahead and Sunny nodded, “What are you doing here?” Taeyeon was the one to ask now.

“I had a break so I came here to smoke and then I saw you and yeah that” Sunny answered while lighting up her cigarette. She didn’t offer one to Taeyeon because she knew she didn’t like to smoke.

“You didn’t even tell me to not smoke beside you, something must be wrong” Sunny joked but Taeyeon just continued to stare at her phone.

“And you keep staring at your phone” Sunny casually mentioned while smoking and staring ahead.

Taeyeon put her phone down and stopped staring at it and then sighed. She didn’t know what to do anymore.

She glanced at Sunny and remembered what she’s been thinking here at the park alone. Being just by herself in silence made her think a lot and apart from Tiffany there was this topic inside her mind, that was in a way related to Tiffany.

“Sunny… I’m gay” Taeyeon said without going in circles, there was no strength in her right now.

Sunny looked at her seemly surprised, “Ah… took you long enough”

Taeyeon had to process her words before widening her eyes and staring at her.

“Wh-What?! You knew!” she shouted and Sunny winced a little.

“Uh yeah… actually, your brother let it slip one day while he was drunk. Sorry?” Sunny said after smoking a bit.

Dammit. She wondered if her brother told anyone else she was gay while being drunk. She sighed.

“Only Seohyun and he knew. I wanted to tell you but I’ve always been scared of people’s reactions towards that” Taeyeon said while absentmindedly staring at the grass around them. She touched it.

Seohyun didn’t have any problems with it and even though Jiwoong wasn’t sure at first, later he showed his full support.

Sunny nodded, “Is this the reason why you moved out?”

Taeyeon chuckled bitterly and nodded, “My parents just… they just wouldn’t understand. I thought that by living alone I could finally make myself feel better about this”

Taeyeon rested her back on the tree, “But I still worry. I worry that they might find out and they’ll be disappointed. Especially now that they only have me”

The thought of her brother made her remember how much she misses him.

She continued, “I think… I’m always afraid of doing things that I might regret later because of fear of disappointing everyone but no matter what, I always end up doing something that disappoints someone” she frowned.

Sunny calmly took out a small plastic bag from her pocket, she finished smoking and put the rest of her cigarette in the bag before staring at her.

“Taeyeon… not everyone is going to be happy with our actions. Not everyone is going to like what we do, what we think or what we feel”

Taeyeon had her whole attention on Sunny now and the bartender continued.

“And you know what’s worse? When we disappoint ourselves. When we stop doing things that make us happy just to fulfill people’s needs”

Sunny grabbed her shoulders and looked directly to her eyes, “So stop staring at your phone and go for whatever makes you happy. At least for tonight, don’t worry for what people might think and do what your heart wants”

Taeyeon stared hard at her, analyzing her words thinking of the possibilities of doing what she really wants.

Sunny smirked at her and Taeyeon had to smile at that.

It was 2:30 am and Tiffany was already close to home. The ride in the taxi was quiet and happened fast because of the lack of cars at this hour. The party ended at 2 am because almost everyone had work in a few more hours.

She got in front of the building, paid the driver and went out of the cab. She walked towards the stairs to the apartment slowly, not really sure if Taeyeon was going to be awake and she didn’t know if she wanted to see her right now.

She sighed when she was in front of the door, grabbed her key and put them on the lock but didn’t move. Taeyeon is probably asleep, she suddenly thought, she had work and she was probably tired. And she didn’t respond to her text, she was sure Taeyeon knew she was angry. She was not going to wait for her like sometimes she did.

She opened the door and was greeted by darkness coming from the place. She smiled bitterly.

Then out of nowhere a small light caught her attention and then another. Those were candles on the small table in front of the tv. Taeyeon was there lighting up other candles and Tiffany could finally see her face.

“What?” Tiffany asked unsurely, not understanding what was Taeyeon doing so late.

“Don’t turn on the lights and come please” Taeyeon smiled at her and grabbed a small cake, showing it to Tiffany.

Tiffany walked towards her, a little slow, not knowing how to react. She sat beside Taeyeon on the couch and stared at her.

“Happy birthday” Taeyeon finally said while holding the cake in her hands, she put it on her lap and stared at Tiffany with that stare Tiffany liked so much.

“I’m sorry” the older girl mentioned while lowering her eyes for a second, “I feel stupid… I don’t know if you believe me but…” she stared at Tiffany, “but there was nothing else I wanted more today than spend it with you”

Tiffany heard her heart beating fast at Taeyeon’s words, she breathed for some seconds before talking.

“Why then- Why couldn’t you at least call?” She knew her tone sounded hurt but she wasn’t going to pretend.

Taeyeon lowered her head in guilt, her eyes on the cake, “I don’t know… I guess I’m just stupid sometimes” she lifted her head and looked at Tiffany, “But I mean it…  If it’s ok with you maybe we can spend the afternoon together. That’s if you forgive me…” she said cutely and Tiffany had to smile at her sweetness and at the suggestion.

Tiffany nodded, “It’s ok now and I’d like that. Thank you, for this” she looked at the candles and at the chocolate cake on Taeyeon’s lap. She smiled at her.

Taeyeon grinned and after some seconds of silently staring at each other she asked, “How was the party?”

Tiffany smiled at the memories, “It’s was great. I had a lot of fun and I… I told everyone I’m pregnant”

Taeyeon raised her brows for a second before getting serious, “I’d have liked to be there for you…” she said in a low voice.

Tiffany gave her a small smile, “Everyone took it well. I was so happy” Taeyeon smiled at those words and Tiffany could totally feel her sincerity. She was glad for her.

Taeyeon suddenly put her hand on her pocket and took out a small candle. Tiffany guessed it was for the cake. Taeyeon put it on the middle of it and with the lighter on the table she lighted up the candle.

“You might have already blew out candles at your party but here you have the chance to make one more wish” Taeyeon grinned at her.

Taeyeon put the cake on the table and Tiffany got close to Taeyeon to be able to blow the candle. She thought of what to wish, she already wished for a healthy baby back at Red Lips.

She knew what to wish for. More moments like this in the future, filled with warm feelings.

She blew it and then stared at Taeyeon. She could feel her eyes water when she stared at the older girls eyes, intense eyes that made her insides tingle with butterflies. The whole day she felt afraid that Taeyeon didn’t care for her as much as she did for the other girl but right now those doubts felt irrational.

There was something in the way Taeyeon stared at her that made her feel things she didn’t feel before.

“Happy birthday Tiffany… I hope…” Taeyeon touched her cheek gently, “I can be in your life to see you make your wishes come true”

Tiffany wasn’t sure how it happened but now both of them were closer than before. Her eyes darted from Taeyeon’s eyes to her lips and she could feel the other girl doing the same. The intimate atmosphere was almost screaming for them to do something, anything. The light coming from the candles made Taeyeon look even more beautiful.

Their noses touched and she could feel Taeyeon’s breath on her lips. Her insides were flipping and the desire of fulfilling what her heart deeply wanted was taking control of her.

She closed her eyes.

“Taeyeon…” she whispered on the smaller girl’s lips before they finally touched.

Taeyeon’s lips on her lips. Her lips on Taeyeon’s lips. Slowly touching, unsure but in a way that Tiffany knew both of them loved. She dared to touch Taeyeon’s face and Taeyeon put her hands on her arms.

They definitely crossed a line and now there was no way back.

But as they deepened the kiss, Tiffany realized that she didn’t want to go back.
