Unspoken Goodbye
February 3, 2035
Seyoung decided to go to Jiyeon's house that Saturday. Her mom welcomed her warmly as usual and let her up to Jiyeon's room.
"Jiyeon-ah!" She called and jumped on her bed
"Omo! You surprised me. What brought you here?" Jiyeon asked
"Why? Am I not allowed in here? You just got yourself a boyfriend and don't want me anymore?!" She pouted
"No no of course not. I'm just surprised"
Seyoung finally smiled and hugged her bestfriend " I just missed this place. But you know what Jiyeon, I've dream of this house"
"really? What happened in your dreams?" Jiyeon asked
"It's not clear but it's like I live here with someone else. The decorations were different but I know it's this house"
"Who's that someone else?"
"A man. I don't know his face and his name. But it's like we were close. And oh, I have dream of him the other night too"
"Do you think he is with you last week? Maybe those were the answers! Maybe your dreams can tell us what really happened to you!" Jiyeon said excitedly
"You think?"
"Maybe, let's be positive"
Suddenly Jiyeon's phone rang
"Hello? Oppa! Yah where have you been you told me you'll come with me hiking. Yeah yeah you and reasons!" Jiyeon said annoyed at the phone "Tomorrow? Okay! Yah be sure to be here tomorrow! Fine. Bye oppa!" She then ended the call
"Who's that?"
"Oh that's my cousin, he's the one I told you to supposedly join us in our hiking trip, but went missing. Well he's always like that, he will promise to meet but then he won't show up"
"Okay so what will we do now?"
"Jiyeon ah you know my parents' anniversary will be tomorrow. But I still don't have a gift for them" Seyoung said
"So, want me to accompany you at the mall?"
"Yes"
"Okay, just wait here, I'll shower first" Jiyeon said and get up from her bed
"Okay"
Jiyeon then went to the bathroom and Seyoung was left in the room. She stand up from the bed and went to Jiyeon's study table. She's always here in this room and is really welcome. Above Jiyeon's table was a board where she pins and posts all the memo's and notes, there are also pinned photos and more. Seyoung scanned all the pinned papers to see what Jiyeon is currently doing. She just saw a reminder for their homeworks, and for their exam next week. There is also a photo of her and Jiyeon posted there, back in their field trip during middle school. She also caught a glimpse of a photo of Jiyeon and Lee, they were in a farm and smiling. Seyoung also smiled to see it.
Seyoung then see another photo that was almost fully covered with other papers pinned on the board. She lifted the other papers so that she can see the photo. It showed a little Jiyeon, about 9 years old, with an older guy and another kid. She narrowed her eyes on the photo, the other people in the photo looks familiar. The kid and the older guy. She knows that she saw the two already. She thinks and thinks and finally remembered
"Uncle Jongin?" She mumbled and at the same time Jiyeon goes inside the room, finally done showering. Jiyeon went straight to the mirror to fix her hair.
"Jiyeon ah" Seyoung called
"Yes?" Jiyeon answered while still looking at the mirror
"Jiyeon ah! They are already here!" Jiyeon's mom suddenly called from downstairs
"Oh yeah, Seyoung come, my favorite uncle is here with his family. The came here last week too, but now they said they'll come to a party or something that's why they came back"
"Jiyeon, may I ask something? What's the name of your uncle?" Seyoung asked, Jiyeon have told her stories of her favorite uncle but she already forgot his name. And right now, she wants to be sure of her guess.
"My uncle? His name is Jongin. Kim Jongin. Come on let's meet them, I'm sure they'll like you!" Jiyeon pulled her and they both went downstairs. They went straight to the living room and Seyoung saw four new faces. An older guy, an older woman who's pregnant, and two little kids that were running all over the living room, they look like twins.
"Oww" Seyoung said when one of the kids bumped into her
"Yah Jongshin ah watch where you're going" Jiyeon scolded
"Jongshin say sorry" the pregnant lady said, she's so pretty, Seyoung thought
"I'm sorry noona" The kid named Jongshin said
"It's okay" Seyoung smiled sweetly at the kid
"Noona what's your name you're so cute!" The other kid asked and Seyoung just laughed
"Hey Jongyun" Jiyeon said then turned to Seyoung " Don't mind them they're just like that. They were my cousins Jongshin and Jonghyun. Obviously they're twins"
"Hello, my name is Seyoung noona" she said to the twins "They're so cute Jiyeon"
"I'm sorry for my kids behavior they're just too playful" the older guy said and went near to them. "I'm Kim Jongin, Jiyeon's uncle"
Seyoung stared at the guy. Yes it was clearly him, the same Jongin that was part of exo. Based on his photo and in the video she watched, his features didn't really change. He has still that charismatic face.
"Hello, Oh Seyoung imnida, Jiyeon's bestfriend"
"Seyoung?" The pregnant woman then went near to them "Are you possibly Hayoung and Sehun's daughter?"she asked
"You know aunt Hayoung, aunt Naeun?" Jiyeon asked
"Yes, I'm their daughter Seyoung" Seyoung smiled
"Oh my God! You grow up so beautifully. Very alike with your mom!" Naeun said as she Seyoung's hair
"Seyoung ah, we're glad to see you here and also to be our niece's friend. Do you remember us?"
"Not really, but yesterday night I watched the video of my 2nd birthday with omma and appa"
"Ah,yes. That's the last time we were completed. How time flew by so fast, you were just a little two year old back then but now you"re agrown up" Naeun said
"How about Min-ie, do you remember him?" Kai asked
"Min-ie?" Seyoung asked
"Seyoung ah you knew Min-ie oppa too?" Jiyeon asked her
"Who's Min-ie oppa?" Seyoung asked with a confused face
"He's my annoying cousin, the one I told you earlier"
"Ah, oh wait is he the kid on the video too?" She asked remembering
"Yes, you're always playing with him before"
"Oh,anyways Seyoung thank you for sending us the invitation" Naeun said
"Invitation? For what?"
"Huh? The invitation for your parent's anniversary tomorrow. This." Naeun said and showed her a lavender colored envelope. Seyoung gets it and get the paper inside the envelope. It was a written invitation for Hayoung and Sehun's anniversary. And under it was her name. She's sure that the invitation has her penmanship, it was no doubt that it was written by her, except the part of her name. She's sure that if was not her hand writing. But aside from it, it really looks like from her, but she can't remember writing any of it.
"Aunt Naeun, when did you get these invitation?"
"On wednesday, why?"
She look at Jiyeon and after that they excused themselves and went back to Jiyeon's room.
"Woah I didn't know that my uncle is your parents' friend"
"Yeah what a coincidence. But Jiyeon ah, I don't remember doing that invitation and sending it to them?!"
"Maybe that's what you do this whole week"
"oh yeah right I remember something" Seyoung said and get apink and exo's photo from her bag."Look at these, I found them in my bag. I think I wrote their names here"
"Oh you're right. Maybe that's it! The week when you're gone maybe you searched and did those invitations and sent those to them"
"But she said they get the invitation on wednesday, I'm at the hospital that time"
"well maybe you sent those earlier,but it just came to their house on wednesday"
"Maybe, but hey do you think would come?"
"Let's be positive, look aunt Naeun and uncle Jongin get it, maybe all the others get it too."
"But there's a problem"
"what?"
"I haven't prepared for the party yet"
"Then let's head to the mall, because we still have a party to organize!"
The two then headed to the mall to buy stuffs. They also called Lee to help them. After buying things and ingredients for food and everything needed they headed back to Jiyeon's house and asked the help of her mom to help them. They also talk to Naeun and Kai and the two gladly helped, they said that Seyoung was not really sure of the invitation so Kai help them in contacting the other exopink but only Tao, Chen, Namjoo and Kyungsoo were contacted.
After the tiring day, Seyoung finally said goodbye to them. She's already out of the door when Jongin called her.
"Seyoung-ah"
"Yes uncle Jongin?"
"Thank you for this. I appreciate it. Thank you for trying to bring exopink all together" he said
"Omma and appa misses you all so much. Your friendship means a lot to them and I just want to see them happy" She said and smiled
"Thank you" he said and walk nearer to Seyoung and pat her head softly "Don't force yourself. You'll remember everything soon." He said and smiled "Have a safe trip home" he added and walk back in the house
He was already inside but Seyoung was still staring at the closed door. She's so confused of what Jongin have said. Because she and Jiyeon never told him about her lost memories. She's confused on how he knew. And he also said the same thing as her father did.
"I'm home!" Seyoung said as she entered the house. She saw Sehun and Hayoung at the couch while watching television.
"Hey dear" they greeted her
She jumped into the couch in between her parents and giggled "omma, appa, what are your plans for tomorrow?"
"huh? Why did you asked?"
"It's your 18th anniversary right?"
"ah, well maybe we'll just have a small celebration." Hayoung said
"that's it? Appa, why don't you take out omma to a date?"
"What? Aren't we old for those things?" They giggled
"There's no age limit in dating"
"Well then okay"
"Okay! Just be sure to be back in the afternoon" Seyoung said
"why?"
"Because you have a daughter that you left at home all alone"
"Then why don't you just come with us?" Sehun suggested
"No I can't. And besides you won't enjoy the date if I'm there. I'll be okay here. Just bring home lots of foods for me" she said and chuckled "love you omma! Love you appa!" She then kissed their cheeks and run to her room.
She changed clothes and jumped on her bed. She's excited for the coming day tomorrow. She's not yet sleepy so she just gets her phone and check her SNS accounts. Getting bored she just opens her phone camera and took a selca. She's viewing her photos in the gallery until it cae to an unfamiliar photo. It was her smiling widely at the camera while the guy beside her showed a pouty face.
"Who's this?"
She zoomed the photo and stared at the guys face, and just memories came flowing in her mind. Memories of her and that guy. Her dreams became clear and there's no doubt that the guy is him. It is Minhyuk.
"Minhyuk oppa" Seyoung gasped,
With heavy breathing, she dialled Jiyeons number on her phone. Her tears already preapring to fall as she waited for her bestfriend to answer the call.
"Hello?" Jiyeon answered from the other line
"Jiyeon ah" Seyoung spoke in a soft voice
"Seyoung ah why? Why did you call? Is there something wrong?"
"Jiyeon ah... I... remember everything" Seyoung said, that time her tears already flowing down her cheeks
"What? Really? You finally remember? Tell me"
"You're right, that guy in my dreams, I'm with him the whole week. Jiyeon ah I've been gone to a familiar but strange place, with a stranger that became so special to me" Seyoung said
"Oh my God, isn't that great? Wait, Seyoung are you crying?"
"Jiyeon ah" Seyoung can't hold it anymore, she's already sobbing
"Seyoung why are you crying? Shouldn't you be happy? You finally remember!"
"But Jiyeon, that guy, I leave him alone... I .. I finally know why am I feeling so hurt, so empty and regretful. It's because I leave him there, without even saying goodbye, ""
"But you can meet him again, you know his name right? Seyoung ah"
"I wish I can do that... but I can't. Jiyeon ah, I can't meet him anymore"
"Why?"
"Why?"
"He... he's already dead Jiyeon"
"omo..."
Seyoung felt weak, she's sobbing on the corner of her bed. She then remembered one of their conversation
"Well, anyways, do you know a photographer named Kim Minhyuk in your time? Will I be famous?" he asked
"Hmm let me think.... no... I haven't heard someone named Kim Minhyuk in my time, more even a photographer, maybe you won't become successful" she joked
Seyoung cried harder, she doesn't know a Kim Minhyuk photographer in her time not because isn't famous but because that Kim Minhyuk is not existing at her time.
Am I so bad?
But well guys, as I have said, this will end soon and I have one more chapter to go. Yes, next chapter will be the final chapter /huhu sobs/.

And since I'm ending this fic, I can finally continue writing A Journey to your Heart. I'm continuing my stories one by one because I can't write them all the same time. (But it's my fault for posting the stories right? haha)
