CHAPTER 23   

Hugs and Kisses

Sehun and Hayoung were having a rest at the fountain at the center of the amusement park. The two were eating cotton candies while watching the other people at the park. There are lots of different people there, there are some teenagers like them walking in groups while sharing laughs, there are couples, and there are also kids running around while their parents try to catch them. One family caught the attention of Sehun and Hayoung. The child is happily walking while holding his parents' hands. 

"They're so cute"  Hayoung said
Sehun looks at Hayoung and saw that she was looking at the family
"Hayoung ah"
"Ne?" She ask as she faced her boyfriend
"How many child do you want?" Sehun asked so suddenly that Hayoung froze with his question
"huh?"
"I...I mean someday... you know when you are already married....sorry why do I even ask that question" Sehun said
"You mean, when WE are already married?" Hayoung said finally forming a mischievous smile on her lips
"... yah Oh Hayoung... are you proposing to me?" Sehun ask with wide eyes
"Wait, you started it... I thought you're the one proposing already? Am I wrong? I'm sorry I'm so stupid to think of that, when in fact we just started dating. " Hayoung's facial expression suddenly saddened
"No no no no you're not wrong" Sehun said as he panicked with Hayoung being sad " And you're not stupid. Yes, maybe we just started dating, but Hayoung, I've already been loving you for three years. Within those years, I should have given up and just forget what I feel for you, but I didn't, because I know that you're the only one for me. It's only you Hayoung" He said 
Hayoung lowered down her face and covered it with her hands
"Hey did I say something wrong?" Sehun said as holds hayoung's shoulder, trying to look at her face, but Hayoung just shook her head but still not looking at him
"Then what is it?"

Finally Hayoung look at him with a smile "I love you" she said
Sehun sighed before smiling "you make me worried, I love you too" He said and hugged Hayoung

"Oppa, we already forget about our cotton candy" Hayoung said and laugh
"Oh yeah you're right"
"Oppa, do you know about the cotton candy kiss?"
"of course" 
"Let's do it" Hayoung said and Sehun nodded.

Holding the cotton candy in between them, the couple should be biting at the cotton candy together at the same time, but only Hayoung did. 

Hayoung look at Sehun "you should took at bite at the same time with me"
"that's not how the cotton candy kiss is done" he said while looking at Hayoung
"Then how?" Hayoung asked curiosly
"Like this" Sehun holds Hayoung's chin before kissing her lips, melting the extra cotton candies on her lips with his warm kiss.

Seyoung also sat on the fountain. She didn't notice Sehun and Hayoung because she's sitting at the other side, but she also look at the happy family Sehun and Hayoung werelooking at earlier. 

She didn't realize that a tear fall from her eye. By looking at the family, she remembers her childhood and her parents. She remembered when they also brought her to the amusement park when she was eight. She missed them so bad. Her parents, Sehun and Hayoung. Although she knows that they still exist at that time, it still felt different. 

She wipes her tears and try to look at other things. Minhyuk went to the bathroom but it's already a while and he's still not coming back. "Where is he?" 

Seyoung wants him to appear, so that she can talk with someone, so that her attention could be brought to something else, because she's really missing her parents so bad. She tried to look around again,but it only cause for her tears to come out. She saw Sehun and Hayoung leaving the fountain, walking hand in hand. She wants to run to them and say how much she missed them and hug them, but she knows that she won't receive the answer she wants, the answer she expected. 

She's alread crying when someone tapped her shoulder. She wipes her tears as she look to see who it was. And it was Minhyuk. 

"H-hey" she said
"are you okay?" He asked, not so sure if he should have asked that
"y..yeah" Seyoung bit her lower lip and nodded slowly

Minhyuk look at her, he knows that she's not okay. He didn't know what happened to her when he left, but when he saw Sehun and Hayoung, he knows that she's missing her parents, he knows that she wants to come back to her time. Minhyuk sat beside Seyoung not knowing what to do. Even though the girl said she's okay, she's still crying and just can't stop her tears. Scratching the back of his neck, Minhyuk furiously thinks of something to do to comfort the girl. 

"Hey" he called

Seyoung looks at Minhyuk, he is now spreading his arms while giving her and awkward smile. "uh...uhm, I don't know what to say to you to comfort you, I'm sorry. This is the only thing I can offer..." he looks at Seyoung who is now looking at her weirdly "Hey don't think anything wrong, it's just that I really wanted to comfort you. You know my cousin once said that in times like this, hugs are the best thing a friend can offer. Even if you don't say anything, just by your hug, you can say that it's okay and let them feel that they're not alone"

Seyoung stared at Minhyuk, she finds it cute the way he's being awkward but still want to comfort her, and she appreciated it. She wanted to smile at his sincerity, but instead she cried more and wrapped her arms around him. She heard him gasp in surprise when she hugged him, but soon after she felt his arms hugged her frame as one of his hand tapped her back. She cried on his chest, and somehow, it really made her feel better. 

 "Just like my bestfriend" she said and remembered Jiyeon
"huh?"
"My bestfriend, she also told that to me before. That a hug is the best thing you can give to someone who is down. My bestfriend likes to hug me, even if I'm not down, she will just randomly hug me anywhere. It's her way of showing me that she's always there for me" Seyoung said
"You missed her right?" he asked, with his arms still wrapped around her
"Yeah, so much. I missed everyone at my time"
"I can be your bestfriend while you're here"

A few moments after her tears subside, the two broke the hug. Seyoung look at him and smiled.

"Thank you" she said

Seyoung and Minhyuk were already going home when they saw the pink bunny mascot again. Seyoung wanted to say goodbye to the cute mascot so she pulled Minhyuk so they can come near to the mascot but they stop walking when they witnessed the mascot fall down. Seyoung and Minhyuk ran to the mascot and tried to help, it looks like that the guy behind the mascot fainted. When they try to removed the mascot's head, they saw that the guy is an old man. Seyoung felt bad seeing an old man still working. He must've been too tired. Suddenly a younger man came running to them.

"Appa!" the man said as he held the old guy

They help to put the old man on a bench inside a small booth at the park. Seyoung and Minhyuk learned that the younger guy is a photographer at the amusement park.  He worked at the amusement park together with his father to support his studies and for the medication of his mother. He doesn't want his father to work because he's already old but, he can't stop the old man. 

"I'm sorry for the disturbance caused" The guy said to Minhyuk and Seyoung

"Don't worry about it" Minhyuk said

"So, who will take care of him?" Seyoung ask, worried of the old man who is now resting

"I'll took care of him"

"But you still have a job to do" 

"Don't worry about it, I'll handle it. You can go now ma'am and sir, I also don't want to be seen by my boss like this, he will get mad for sure" the guy said to them

"Then we can watch at your father first while you work" Seyoung said

"No, please don't. My boss will get angry if he saw you here. He could fire my father if he saw you"

"But I want to help."

"Seyoung wait, are you sure of this?" Minhyuk asked

The pink bunny mascot nodded and showed two thumbs up at Minhyuk. He didn't actually remember how Seyoung gets the man to agree, but Seyoung is really one stubborn girl, and now there they are. Seyoung already wearing the pink bunny mascot touring around the park with him as the photographer in a funny mask. They just took over the guy and his father's work for a while as the guy took care of his father. Seyoung just pushed him to join and also to wear the funny mask so that the boss won't know that it's other person who's doing the job.

And now they are on their fourth customer, a big group of nineteen people who just went out of the horror house.
