Hyoyeon, Luna and Yoona went to the house where Krystal, Sulli and the others are. They told them what the boys said.

“Go back to the first place? What does it mean?” Krystal asks.

“If it is first place, isn’t it the old mansion?” Sulli asks.

“But the boys said that the book isn’t there.” Luna said.

“Why would Hyuna want the book when Onew returned it in the old bookstore?” Hyoyeon asks.

“I think we should know first the history of the golden book.” Yoona said.

“We should see Chemi.” Luna said.

After calling Chemi, Chemi arrived after an hour.

“Why are you obsessed with the golden book?” Chemi asks.

“Hyuna turned our boys into books.” Hyoyeon said.

“That’s crazy!” Chemi can’t believe it.

“It’s true.” Yoona said. “We need you to tell us the real story.”

“I’ll believe you because of what happened in our high school days.” Chemi said. “Now, I shall tell you the story of the golden book.”

They all listen.

“The golden book doesn’t exist when the old writer was young. It is actually a cursed book from the woman who cheated by him. It is a curse that will only stop if you put back the book to the mansion. The reason why the book still continues to kill is because people don’t stop to steal it.” Chemi said. “The old writer never leaves his mansion because he is protecting the book but the killing started when the thief stole it from him.”

“Do you know where the book is?” Krystal asks.

“Girls, when I went to the mansion, the book isn’t there so I don’t know where it is.” Chemi said. “What was the hint that Hyuna said?”

“Go back to the first place.” Luna said.

“We thought it would be the mansion but it isn’t.” Yoona said.

“Of course it is not the mansion.” Chemi said.

“Do you know where it is?” Hyoyeon asks.

“To our old school.” Chemi said.

“Eh?! Why there?” they ask.

“It is the hidden treasure of our school.” Chemi said.

“How did you know?” they ask.

“I searched about the whereabouts of the golden book and it leads me to our school. The boy that helped by Hyuna eventually betrayed her as he grow up. He left the mansion with the book and buried it where our school is standing now.” Chemi said.

 “Isn’t it with the principal?” Hyoyeon asks.

“You should ask the principal.” Chemi said.

“Thanks, Chemi.” Luna said. “Let’s go, girls. We need to hurry.”

“Chemi, can you do us a favor?” Hyoyeon asks.

“Sure.” Chemi said.

“Could you watch over the kids until we come back?” Hyoyeon asks.

“No problem.” Chemi said. “I’ll call the others too.”

“Thanks, Chemi.” Hyoyeon said.

“Anytime, girls.” Chemi said.

At their school…

The five girls went straight to the principal’s office.

“Girls! Nice to see you again.” The principal said.

“Principal, I wonder how long you are planning to be principal. Isn’t it time for you to retire?” Sulli asks.

“Until there are students who go to school late like you, I will not retire.” The principal said.

“Aiyeee! Principal!” they said.

The principal laughed. “I’m just joking.” He said. “Anyway, why are you here? You wouldn’t be here just to see me, right?”

“Right.” Krystal said. “We would like to ask you about the hidden treasure of the school.”

“Ah! The hidden treasure. I gave it to Max for security.” He said.

“Eh? Do you know where he lives?” Krystal asks.

“I can give to you his address but can I ask you why do you want to know about the hidden treasure?” he asks.

“Let’s just say it is matter between life and death.” Hyoyeon said and winks.

The girls arrived at Max’s apartment. They ring the doorbell but no one answers.

“I wonder if Max oppa isn’t here.” Sulli said.

Luna tries to open the door and it is opened.

Luna and the others look at each other.

They are thinking the same thing.

They hurriedly get inside the apartment.

“Max oppa?” they called.

They saw him lying on the floor.

“Max oppa!” they shout.

Krystal checks the pulse of Max.

“He’s alive.” Krystal said.

“Max oppa.” Hyoyeon called him.

“Let’s put him on the bed.” Yoona said.

The five girls carry Max to the bed.

“Is it ok not to bring him in the hospital?” Sulli asks.

“I don’t see any wounds.” Krystal said.

“Wait! He is waking up.” Sulli said.

Max slowly opened his eyes.

“Oppa, gwenchana?” Hyoyeon asks.

“What happened?” Max asks.

“We saw you unconscious on the floor.” Luna said. “What happened to you?”

“I went to the market a while ago and when I came back the door is open. I searched my apartment and saw the vault widely opened. I was about to call the police when someone hit me hard on my back and after that I don’t know what happened.” Max said.

“What is inside the vault?” Krystal asks.

“The hidden treasure of SM High School.” Max said.

“Girls, I think that the book is back to our old school.” Hyoyeon said.

“Oppa, we need to go now. Can you manage alone?” Yoona asks.

“Yeah. I’m fine.” Max said.

“Oppa, if we ever find the hidden treasure, is it ok not to give it back to you?” Yoona asks.

“Sure. Guarding that treasure is scary. Ghosts keep on coming in my apartment because of that.” Max said.

“Thanks, oppa. Have some rest.” Yoona said and they all left.

The girls went back to the school again. They are running on the school ground when Luna accidentally bumped the janitor.

“Mian.” Luna said.

“Luna, hurry up!” Yoona said.

“Ne!” Luna said and follows the others.

They went to the place where the hidden treasure used to bury.

“The treasure is here. There are signs that something buried here.” Luna said.

“We need some tools to get the treasure.” Krystal said.

“Let’s go to the janitor’s room.” Sulli said.

Krystal and Sulli left them.

While the two are looking inside the janitor’s room, someone locked the door from outside the room.

“What the-” Krystal said and tries to open the door. “Yah! Let us out!”

“Hello? Anyone there? We’re locked in here.” Sulli shouts.

“What took those two so long?” Yoona irritated said.

“Aish! We don’t have time to wait for long.” Hyoyeon said and took a small branch from a tree.

She begins to the dig the ground.

Luna and Yoona helped.

After some minutes…

“I’m seeing it!” Hyoyeon said.

Hyoyeon uses her hands to get the book.

“Alright! We got it!” Yoona said.

“Let’s head back to the mansion.” Luna said.

The three were about to leave when they saw the janitor standing right in front of them.

“Leave that book back to the ground.” The janitor said.

“Who are you to say that?” Yoona asks.

The janitor removes his hat to clearly see his face.

“Ok… So… who are you really and what do you do except as a janitor?” Yoona asks.

“I am the great, great, great, great grandson of Ham Eun Jung.” The janitor said.

“Ok… First, how many great did he said and second who is Ham Eun Jung?” Yoona asks.

“Can’t you just tell us who you are except the fact that you are the great, great, great grandson of Ham Eun Jung whoever she is?” Luna asks.

“It’s great, great, great, great grandson. I said great 4 times.” The janitor said.

“Whatever.” Hyoyeon said. “Why do you want the book?”

“Leave that book here and you can go in peace.” The janitor said.

“You’re wrong. If we leave the book here, we can’t go in peace because Hyuna doesn’t stop bugging us until we bring back the book to the old writer’s mansion.” Yoona said.

“That book will stay here!” the janitor said.

“Why?” they ask.

“So the curse will continue.” The janitor said.

“Why do you want to continue the curse?” Luna asks.

“Because I am the great, great-”

“We already know that!” they said.

“So, who is really Ham Eun Jung?” Hyoyeon asks.

“She’s the one who gave the curse to Jang Woo.” The janitor said.

“Jang Woo? Who’s Jang Woo?” Yoona asks.

“He is obviously the old writer!” the janitor yells.

“Don’t yell at us! How do we know his name when his name didn’t even mentioned in this story?!” Yoona yells.

“Oh… right.” The janitor said.

“At least we know the old writer’s name so we don’t need to call him old writer.” Luna said.

“Why did she give the curse to Jang Woo?” Hyoyeon asks.

“Because he broke her heart.” The janitor said. “He promised that he will marry her but he broke it and married another woman.”

“Maybe he really loves that another woman.” Yoona said.

“He married that another woman because of her money and gold.” The janitor said. “Because of that my great, great, great, great grandmother curses him and no one shall end that curse except if the book will remain in the mansion forever. That’s the only way to stop the killings.”

“I have a question.” Luna said. “Why did you bury the book here?”

“Because this place was used to be the house of Eun Jung halmeoni.” The janitor said.

“Ok… Don’t you know that people died here because of this book?” Hyoyeon asks.

“I know that.” The janitor said. “The thieves died because they want to take the book because they thought that it is a treasure.”

“I didn’t know it is part of the curse.” Hyoyeon said.

“I have a question too!” Yoona said. “We’ve been talking for a couple of minutes but you didn’t introduce your name.”

“My name is… Lee Hyukjae.” The janitor said.

“Sounds familiar to me.” Hyoyeon said.

“There is lots of Lee Hyukjae here.” Luna said. “We don’t have much time. We must bring back the book.”

“Araso.” Hyoyeon said. “Sorry, Mr. Lee but we can’t leave the book here.”

“Leave it or die…” the janitor said.

Just then, the principal came with some policemen.

“Capture that old man.” The principal said. “He is the intruder.”

Hyoyeon, Luna and Yoona take that chance to escape.

The janitor was about to run after them but the policemen stop him.

“Let’s hurry!” Luna said while running.

“What about Krystal and Sulli?” Yoona asks.

Just then, they heard noises coming from the janitor’s room.

Yoona opens the door. “Are you stupid? How did you get locked up inside the janitor’s room?”

 “Someone locked us.” Krystal said.

“Girls, hurry up!” Hyoyeon said and runs again.

Inside the car…

Yoona is driving the car.

“Can’t you drive a little faster?” Krystal asks.

“This is the fastest because if I drive faster than this the police will catch me and arrest me.” Yoona said.

“We need to get back the book before the sun sets and if it is not, our boys will be forever books.” Hyoyeon said.

Just then, the car stops.

“What now?” Luna asks.

“Run out of gas.” Yoona said.

Sulli looks outside. “There’s no gasoline station here.”

“Of course there isn’t. We are in the middle of nowhere.” Luna said. “Let’s start to run.”

“Run? But it is still far away and it is dark.” Sulli said.

“If we don’t run, we can’t make it on time.” Hyoyeon said.

“Sulli, we can make it!” Krystal said. “This is just like our high school days.”

“Araso.” Sulli said.

The five girls run as fast as they could but eventually they get tired.

“Don’t stop. We can walk but don’t stop.” Hyoyeon said.

“My knees are shaking.” Sulli said and sat on the ground.

Krystal sat too and followed by Yoona.

“Hyo, let’s rest for a while.” Luna said.

“Fine.” Hyoyeon said. “But only for a few minutes.”

After 8 hours…

Hyoyeon woke up. She first saw the clear blue sky.

“Oh shoot!” Hyoyeon said. She checks the time on her watch. 9:00 in the morning!

“Girls, wake up!” she said.

“What time is it?” Yoona half-asleep asks.

“It is 9:00 in the morning!” she said.

“Eh?!!!” everyone said.

“We’ve slept for 8 hours.” She said.

“We need to hurry! The village is still far away!” Luna said and starts running.

“Running again?” Sulli said.

“This is exercise.” Yoona said and runs.

The five girls start running again.

After hours of running and walking, they finally reached the mansion.

“Guys, we’re back!” Hyoyeon said.

“Open that door.” Siwon said.

Hyoyeon opened the door inside the library. “It’s locked.” She said.

“Where’s the key?” Yoona asks.

“I don’t know.” Siwon said.

“Hyo, how many hours do we left?” Luna asks.

“An hour.” Hyoyeon said.

“Find the key. Go! Go! Go!” Luna said.

“Let’s all split up. I and Luna will look on the second floor. Sulli and Krystal will look in the first floor and Yoona will look in the basement and outside the mansion.” Hyoyeon said.

“Do I really need to look in the basement?” Yoona asks.

“Yes!” the four girls said.

“Araso. Araso.” Yoona said.

The girls look for the keys, every time they find a key, they tried it to the door.

“We can’t find it.” Luna said. She’s getting tired for running back and forth inside the mansion.

“We can’t lose hope.” Hyoyeon said.

“Girls, have you found the key? We searched everywhere but we can’t find it.” Krystal said.

“Us too.” Luna said.

“How about Yoona?” Sulli asks.

Meanwhile, Yoona is searching the dark basement.

“It is so creepy here.” Yoona said. “I need to find the key.”

She looks around the basement and saw a door.

She feels bad thinking what is behind that door but she need to be brave.

“I hope the key is there.” Yoona said.

She opened the door. She saw something shining inside the room.

She enters inside the room and checks what it is.

“A golden key. This must be the key to the door.” Yoona said. She took it and suddenly she felt goosebump.

Her eyes widened when she saw lots of skeletons standing everywhere in the room.

“Kyaaahhhh!” she screamed and runs as fast as she can just to get out of the room.

The other girls heard Yoona’s scream. They hurriedly get out. They saw Yoona running.

“What happened?” Hyoyeon asks.

“H-How many minutes do we have left?” Yoona asks while her face is pale.

“5 minutes!” Hyoyeon said.

“Open the door.” Yoona said and gives the golden key.

Hyoyeon took it and runs inside the mansion.

“What happened to you?” Krystal asks.

“Skeletons.” Yoona said.

“Skeletons? You mean just like the one on your foot?” Sulli asks.

Yoona looks down and saw a skeleton hand holding her ankle.

“Kyaaaahhhh!!!” Yoona screamed and shakes off the skeleton hand.

The skeleton hand released Yoona’s ankle but it is moving towards them.

The four girls enter the mansion and closed the door.

Meanwhile, Hyoyeon came back to the library and opens the door. Finally, the door opened!

Hyoyeon gets inside with the book. She placed the book in the table inside the room.

“Here is the golden book.” Hyoyeon said.

The golden book shines brightly and the spirits from the book came out.

An old man’s spirit came out last.

“You must be Jang Woo.” Hyoyeon said.

“Yes I am.” The spirit said. “Thank you for bringing back the golden book. Now, we can now go in peace.”

“But what about the book? What if someone tries to steal it again?” Hyoyeon asks.

“This mansion serves as the protective shield of the golden book. The reason I didn’t leave the mansion is to make sure that no one will try to get the golden book out because once it got out, the curse of non-stop killing will happen. Now, no one will or can steal the book because this mansion will be buried down in the ground once the sun sets.” The old man writer said. “You must go now.”

“But I still have some questions.” Hyoyeon said. “Like, why didn’t you kill Onew or us? You just scared us?”

“Because you are destined to bring the golden book here. You protected the treasures once and that’s the sign that you are destined for this.” The old man writer said. “If you still have some questions, I’m afraid that I need to let you bury here too.”

“A-Araso. I’ll be going now with my friends.” Hyoyeon said.

Hyoyeon left the room and the door shut tightly. The golden key disappeared.

“Hyo!” Onew is back to normal now same with the others.

“No time for hugging. We need to get out of here.” Hyoyeon said.

The ground starts to shake.

“Go! Go! Go!” Hyoyeon shouts.

They all run to the door of the mansion. As soon as they got out, they watch the mansion sinking down the ground until the only one left is an empty lot. There is even not a single sign that a mansion used to stand there.

“Is it done?” Sulli asks.

“Ne.” Hyoyeon said.

The couples hug each other except Onew and Hyoyeon.

“Mianhae.” Onew said.

“It wasn’t your fault.” Hyoyeon said. “It is our destiny to help Jang Woo.”

Onew smiled.

Hyoyeon hugs him. “I’m glad you’re ok.” Hyoyeon said.

“Alright! Let’s go home.” Taemin said.

“How are we going to get home?” Leeteuk asks.

“Walk.” The girls said.

“Eh?!” the boys said.

“Even though we have the car, we can’t fit all there.” Yoona said.

“Let’s start to walk.” Krystal said.

“Yeah!” they all said.

It is finally ended! Yehey! Actually, I was supposed to post this ending two weeks ago but I am planning to post this together with my teaser for my new fanfics but I got tired of waiting because my sister is still making it for almost a month, so I decided to post the ending first of my four remaining fanfics.
