NOTE: Eyoung's thoughts: Blue

Chapter 5

Year 1. Summer.

Eyoung throws the rock aside as she stood in a defensive stance in front of Kaeun who was slumped on the ground grasping her neck.

With two hands a little streched out sideways, she never kept her eyes away from her fellow inmates in front of her.

The leader held her head in pain as her fingers brushed through her hair to check for any blood.

Screaming, she shrilled,

"W-WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!! Y-YOU!! YOU WILL PAY!!"

Eyoung clenched her fists as she readies herself from the vicious inmates that were dashing towards her.

Brace yourself Eyoung.

They closed in.

Just when the first person raised her fist to attack, a hand stopped the attack from happening.

"Stop."

Uee tightly held onto the struggling wrist as everybody else froze.

"This is not necessary. Do you want all of us to get punished?"

She was right, none of them wanted to get punished. The women then immediately backed down from their assault. The leader, seemingly unwavered by the new presence of Jooyeon and Uee, gave a wicked smile to the two figures who came to Kaeun's and Eyoung's rescue.

As she waves her finger back and forth from Kaeun to Jooyeon and Uee, she said,

"Is she one of you now? Hah, I should have known."

She walked closer to the coughing Kaeun and squad in front of her. Looking at her with crazed eyes, she said,

"Too bad, you are taken. If not, I did have you all by myself."

"Step away from her, Minhee."

Eyoung blocks the view of Kaeun from Minhee, as Uee cautioned once more.

"A real shame. Let's go kids!"

And Minhee brings her gang away from the scene.

After the whole situation ended, Kaeun kept coughing. She felt as though her windpipe was crushed. The stinging tears wouldn't stop flowing down her face. Eyoung softened her stance and turned to check on Kaeun. She squads next to her as she pats on Kaeun's back, to allow Kaeun's sobs die down.

"You okay?"

Kaeun nodded a little as her face was still a little scrunched up. She felt a little bad thinking that Eyoung did not have any good intentions with her at first. She was wrong.

Little did Kaeun know, Eyoung was just shy.

"Yah, Noh Eyoung!"

Jooyeon's face was still a little serious as she blinked a few times.

"Are you crazy? You almost got yourself into trouble."

Jooyeon tried keep her unnie pose, but her mind was a little still in shock and amazement at what Eyoung did.

"If anything actually happens to her, you will get punished! You are lucky she has a hard head! I still can't believe you hit her with a rock! You really must be crazy!"

Eyoung could only apologise.

"I'm sorry Unnie. Wouldn't happen again."

Uee who was calmer and less excited than Jooyeon hits Jooyeon at the back of her head.

"It's okay Eyoung ah. This Unnie here is just really worried about you. But don't you dare do that again you hear me?"

Eyoung nodded. With that, Uee shifted her attention on Kaeun.

" Kaeun-ah! You okay there?"

"I'm fine Unnie *cough* Thanks for helping me.*cough*"

Jooyeon, who felt that Kaeun didn't sound as though she was really okay, closed in to Kaeun's side as she examined Kaeun's bruises on her neck.

"Looks like she did need some aid."

As though she has brought up a good idea, she said

"Let's bring her to Jungah unnie now."

Uee Agreed.

"Yeah, I guess Jungah Unnie might do something to help her."

Jooyeon suddenly excites herself again as she tries to pull Kaeun up together with Eyoung's help.

"Yes! Let's go bring Kaeun to meet the rest of the group, yeah?"

Kaeun gave an awkward smile as she braced herself for meeting new people.

She felt as though she has obligingly and unknowingly joined a clique.

But that didn't meant that Kaeun wasn't grateful.

She was thankful that her guess about how prisons were, were somewhat correct.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I decided to place the author's note below instead. I admit, i am not good in writing action and sometimes can't express feelings well, so brace yourselves because there might be more dialogue instead. lol. I feel really discouraged writing cos truthfully, everything that i imagine in my mind cannot be properly described into the story I wrote down. that doesn't mean i would stop writing tho. I wont give up so easily!
