“Yup, I’m coming.” You called, picking up your bag. “Sorry, Jongdae, maybe next semester.” You ran off to join Kyungsoo, leaving a frowning Jongdae behind.

It didn’t take you long to get to Kyungsoo’s house, thankfully he lived close to the school.

“Can we start by dropping off by the merchant?” You asked as you plopped down on his couch. “I wanna buy that sword from yesterday.”

“Only if I get to buy the steel armour.”

“We don’t have enough gold for both!” You protested, beginning an argument about which of you should get to upgrade your equipment first.

This was the problem with two player games like this one, with shared gold you two always argued about who should get to buy things first.

Other than that the two of you made a perfect team. You had played so many games together your styles had adapted perfectly for co-op, always sensing what the other was about to do before they even did it.

Two hours later you threw your console down in frustration. “This boss is too frickin hard!”

“I know!” Kyungsoo agreed, “That move when his hp is halfway down is just too powerful!”

“Do we have any side quests left? We need to level up before trying this again.”

“There was that lady at the bar, we didn’t do hers yet, right?”

“I think so…” You leaned back on the couch with a sigh. You really weren’t in the mood to run all the way back to town only to have to fight your way back there later.
