Drive Me to Busan“Pssst,” the manager hissed at Minhyun after they were done with practice.
“Yeah, hyung?” Minhyun said, wiping his sweat with a towel.
“I can’t believe I’m doing this,” the manager said shaking his head in disapproval. “I know how you can get to Busan.”
“How?”
“Drive there.”
“What? I can’t drive hyung. And I don’t have a car. And I don’t know the way there.”
“But Aron can drive. And I have a car. With a built in GPS system.”
Minhyun blinked as he took in the implications of what the manager was saying.
“Look Min, I would drive you there, but the CEO would fire me in a heartbeat. With you and Aron though, he can’t do that. So just tell Aron to take my car and let him drive you. You guys can pretend that you stole the keys from me, and I can pretend to be infuriated.”
“You’re entrusting me and Aron with your car?” Minhyun asked.
“I can’t believe I’m actually doing this,” the manger said again. This car was a new model, and the manager only had it for a little over a month. It was this beautiful [insert fancy car brand name here], with a built in stereo, GPS system and DVD player. Black lather seats, quality air conditioning, new car smell still lingering in the interior. It was his precious dream car that he had been saving up for since his college days. And he’s entrusting it to a couple of teenage boys.
It was because he cared. He cared a lot, more than he would like to admit, for especially Minhyun. He couldn’t stand to see the boy so sad.
“Thank you hyung! Thank you so, so, so much!” Minhyun said, tears of relief strolling down his cheek as he wrapped his arm around his manager. “I love you. You’re the best manager in the entire world. I love you. I love you. I love you and I don't know how I’ll ever repay you.”
“I love you too, Min,” the manager responded, “Now go tell Aron,” he said smiling. Seeing Minhyun so happy made him think that maybe he wouldn’t regret this decision after all.
