The second time Cho Kyuhyun saw that smile was at the age of 12, when a school band came to perform at the summer festival. Kyuhyun had been in the middle of buying candyfloss when a certain person playing the guitar caught his eye.

Kyuhyun wasn't sure, but it looked like the boy he'd met several years ago, the image of his ice cream-covered shirt still lodged in his mind. 

Leaning against the candyfloss stand, he had his suspicions confirmed when the crowd cheered and clapped after the band's set.

Because Sungmin showed the crowd that smile again. The smile he showed Kyuhyun. 

He may have grown taller and aged a bit, but the smile still looked the same.

The smile which seemed to dazzle against the dusky night sky.

Kyuhyun had never seen anyone else smile like that. 

Squeezing through the crowd, Kyuhyun wanted to catch up to the other as the latter went offstage. 

But the crowd seemed to have other ideas, and Kyuhyun could only dream about that smile mingled with fairy lights as he drifted off to sleep that night.

Yes the update is short, but I'm just getting the "prologues" (if you can even call them that haha) out of the way. 

One more, then present day. Will probably keep this fic short and sweet though...? Or maybe a horrendously long thing

I'm just trying to ease myself back into writing after my holiday :D
