Chapter 6 - A little love

They were at their own dance studio at the SME building. Hyukjae was standing in front of the wall to wall mirror staring at himself as he danced, wanting to be perfect in his moves. After all, he had nothing else.
Or so he thought.
He waved his arms, muscles moving in ways that others who weren’t dancers of his caliber would deem as godlike and mere people would call impossible. He was y. He was powerful. He was doing what he does best.
He was telling a story through his body.
He didn’t just dance. He moved feelings. He made hearts race. He made people feel things they never thought they would feel merely through dance. And the funny thing was…he didn’t know any of it.
The other members were sprawled all over the hardwood floor, either resting, trying to catch some sleep before they had to get up again and others trying to fill their stomachs with the much needed food. SME was driving them to exhaustion. But it was nothing they weren’t used to already. This company has taken them beyond exhaustion before, so much so that they had had members faint and be rushed to the hospital, only to attend another event a few hours later.
Members like Siwon who was milked for all he was worth, was moving between schedules of his drama and as that of Super Junior member has long left, sporting big eye bags which could easily be mistaken as fifty cent coins and stubble.
The choreographers looked at the dancer in front of them, appreciating art when they saw it. It was nothing but art, beautiful and fairy tale like.
Kyuhyun too looked at the man in front of him. This was Eunhyuk. This was the idol Eunhyuk. Dancing like a butterfly, graceful and flirtatious yet moving like a rhinoceros, strong and purposeful. It mesmerized Kyuhyun, fascinating him, leaving him spellbound and a little star struck.
When he had first been told that he was going to be part of the dance-line, Kyuhyun had stared at the mangers in disbelief and he might have sent one or two colourful snarky comments to those around him at the time. But then he had been sent into the practice room where Leeteuk, Sungmin, Donghae and Eunhyuk were waiting. There he had, maybe for the first time, really noticed the logistics of dance. He had admired the man before but this time he observed him, his movements, his refined aura, his poise…the self confidence, the dignity.
It was beautiful.
