Eunhyuk took in an annoyed breath as he heard the word ‘ugly’ again. It was something that he would never get used to. It was a word that no one should ever get used to…especially when he himself was being called it.

‘Do they realize how much they hurt me every time?’ the cry baby of the group thought to himself was he schooled his expression, blinking his eyes, once, twice and then once again while breathing deep and holding it for a few seconds before letting it out in a low clenched hiss.

He could feel the camera’s turn towards him. He could almost feel the burn from the flashes as picture upon picture was taken. Happy smiles behind wide high definition lenses and scratches of pencil on paper as reporters either recorded or wrote down what they assumed was playful jest between the beloved members.

It was playful…but for who?

Siwon was the one who said it. Sungmin was the one who asked for it. Leeteuk had baited it. They were his friends…best friends even. So why? Why did they not understand?

Some members giggled while others wondered when it would be their turn to be embarrassed like this.

“We have been talking about looked since out fifth album and I hoped that we wouldn’t be doing it anymore.” Eunhyuk said softly yet strongly. He was uncomfortable. He was insecure. And they were digging up that dead and rotten skeleton up again.

“Where do you think you stand Eunhyuk-sshi? The MC asked.

“Ah…no…I’m still lacking and I hoped that since it is the first day we wouldn’t be talking about ‘looks’ and more about our album.” Eunhyuk continued while hoping the discomfort won’t show on his face. He looked to his left and noticed the member’s eyes on him and he faked a laugh. He had to hide his feelings. He had to hide how much it wounded him. He had to hide his pain…or he would be the laughing stock once more.

A cry baby. Forever a cry baby. This was supposed to be fun right?

So why wasn’t he feeling happy?

The MC probed further into this like it was the best treat of the century. Eunhyuk was in pain and everyone else seemed to be enjoying it while he died a little inside.

“But it’s the first question being asked today. I hope you can concentrate on our new album instead. As for looks, I’ll let everyone make their own choices.” He finished off diplomatically while breathing through his clenched teeth.

The MC seemed to have finally understood that Eunhyuk was not too pleased and he moved on from the damaging topic.

Siwon whispered behind his hand to Donghae, Leeteuk, Shindong and Ryeowook who were seated to his left as the new question for the press conference was being dealt out. He then craned his neck to his right, trying to get Eunhyuk to look at
