“Kyungsoo, here are the files you asked for,” Jongin quipped as he placed a manila folder on the head intern’s desk.
Kyungsoo merely nodded in thanks. It was just some background information on Chokoko, something he hadn’t bothered to get on his own. The way he saw it, he was the leader – and there were things the leader didn’t have to deal with.
He leaned in near Seorin and whispered, “Psst, how far along are you?”
She gave him a subtle glare. He was making it very hard for her to keep it a secret.
He took out the files from the manila folder and placed them into a red folder, making sure no one noticed what he was doing. He quietly handed them to Seorin and said, “Just a few more forms that need to be checked out.”
She raised an eyebrow and opened the red folder. ‘Chokoko, founded in 2002 by…’ She gave him another glare before giving in with a sigh. Today was going to be a long day…

“Plie is hosting an event to show off their latest fashion line… They have given us a special invitation,” CEO Do spoke. “I will not be attending, but instead, you and Kyungsoo both will go in my stead.”
“Why both of us? I shall go alone,” Seongsoo insisted. “Kyungsoo will just get in the way.”
His father gave him a stern look. “I said both of you, so it shall be so,” he said firmly. As long as he was the chair of the company, his word was law, and he would make sure his son understood that very well.
“It starts at 7:30, so don’t be late. You know that’s rude. Sunyoung should be going as well, so you should appear with her.”
Seongsoo returned to his office in a huff. Not only was his annoying little brother going to be at the event, but his annoying fiancée would be glued to his side as well. Tonight was not going to be one he enjoyed.
He checked his watch. 6:45. . The work day was over, and he had less than an hour to get ready and get down to the hall where the event was taking place.
He wondered for a moment if Kyungsoo even knew about the event, because he had a feeling his father had expected that he would tell his little brother… But of course he planned to do no such thing. He shrugged carelessly as he hurriedly put on his blazer.
As he was being driven over, he quickly pulled up some information about Plie’s newest clothing products so he would be prepared to hold a conversation if necessary.
He was positive his younger brother was most definitely not being responsible and ready as he was. Kyungsoo is a fool.
“Seongsoo-sshi, it’s been a while. You have gotten even more handsome than when I last saw you,” CEO Song said with a smile. She was the chairwoman of Plie, and he knew he had to stay on her good side.
“No, you are too kind,” he said with the warmest smile he could muster. “But you, on the otherhand, get younger and younger looking with every meeting. I can see where your daughter gets her lovely looks from.”
The chairwoman blushed and chuckled. “Handsome and charming… What a shame you are already engaged… I would have loved to have you as a son-in-law.” She quickly pulled her daughter by the arm into the conversation. “Qian, have you greeted Seongsoo-sshi yet?” She asked before slyly sneaking away.
Her daughter bowed politely. “It’s nice to see you again, Seongsoo-sshi,” she spoke unenthusiastically, trying to force a smile. They had once modeled together for a Plie photoshoot and it had been one of the most boring times of her life – she remembered Seongsoo as a dull old man stuck in a handsome young man’s body.
She was more than happy that Seongsoo was engaged to Sunyoung. An annoying girl like her deserves a boring husband anyway. Because if he was single, her mother would have jumped at the chance to have them wed… And I would have surely killed myself if that happened.
Speaking of an annoying girl…
At that moment, Sunyoung came defensively to Seongsoo’s side, latching herself to his arm. She gave Qian a slight sneer. “So, what are you two talking about?”
“Everything imaginable,” Qian replied sarcastically.
“I’m serious,” Sunyoung growled. “You’re standing here with my fiancée alone, off to the si
