Dont Get Into Trouble Dont Get Hurt

Love is... What? (A BTS Story)

**** I ran out the doors and out the backyard of the building. Sadly enough, I couldn't fully enjoy the scenery because I was trying to ensure my safety from all four people. I ran far out past a crowd of students lounging in an area outside, and towards the lake, where it was much quieter and far from everyone in the cafeteria.

As I finally caught my breath, I looked at my surroundings, only to have my breath taken away once more.

There was a crystal clear lake, like the one you see in movies, and an elegant waterfall that beautifully dove into the clear water. The grass that I was now stepping upon was soft and smooth enough that you couldn't possibly get bruises and splinters from.
The trees swayed slowly, as if they were dancing to a soft melody given by the winds, and the sky seemed as if it were painted in blue, pink, and white. Walking around, I felt safe and happily forgot the previous danger I enfolded myself in. I then reminded myself of Jungkook and how he said not to get hurt and into trouble. My face almost immediately heated up, as I reached up and tried to wipe the warmth away. Why am I embarrassed? I walked on, studying my surroundings more.

*Trip...

In an instant I found myself on the floor. A painful feeling pierced my knee as I whimpered, trying to get up.

"What the-" a male voice said.

Looking up, I saw a tall figure stand up, dusting himself off and then crossing his arms. His clothes were wrinkled a bit and there was a footprint on the right side of his jacket- my footprint.

"I-I'm so sorry!" I stammered, trying to get back up. The man just looked at me and huffed, running his hands through his brown hair.

"What are you doing here? Why didn't you watch where you were going!" He questioned, seeming a bit intimidating.

"I didn't mean to-"

"You didn't mean to be an airhead and watch where you were going? Is that it? What are you doing here anyways?!"

I looked down towards the floor. I could feel my legs tremble as I was being chastised for my mistake. Oddly enough, my left leg felt more wobbly then the right.

'It was a mistake. It was a mistake. It was a mistake,' I wanted to say.

But it's not like me to speak my mind anymore.

"I was trying to r-run awa-ay."

The boy gave another huff and calmed his voice a bit.
"Running away is never the answer."

'He's giving me a lecture now?' I thought to myself.

"If you were in my situation, you'd be running as well. Well, if you were a girl... And my height... And you apparently walked to school without an umbrella, and caused a commotion with a 'popular' person..." I rambled, waving my arms around to help him picture the situation. My leg then had that luke warm sensation, but I ignored it.

"Whatever, just get out of here." He growled.

"I didn't mean to-"

The boy just raised his hands to his face and sighed.
"Just leave me alone, okay? I don't want to be bothered." He said coldly. He then sat back on the grass and put on a pair of earbuds.

"I-"

"Save it. I don't care."

He seemed awfully cold and harsh the way he talked to me, but I guess I deserved it since I tripped over him. His figure was tall, and he had a thick knitted scarf around his neck, letting it flap around in the air. I tried to talk to him once more, but he only glared at me and looked away.

"I'm sorry." I apologized, looking towards the ground once more. Suddenly, I felt tears strolling down my face, which almost never happens. Before I left California, I had held in my crying and pleas for help. I had to be strong back then, and I still need to now. So why was I crying and needing help all of a sudden. I felt a painful jolt in my left knee, but ignored it once more since it probably was the crying that hurt.
I was crying more than I really should have, really. I tried to come to the conclusion it was just because of the stress, but it all came back to that moment. That moment where I screwed up everything. And because of my mistake I had to change everything.

I then heard the boy heave a large sigh and shift in the grass. Was he leaving the area because of me?

It took a second to then feel a warm hand patting my head. Looking up, I saw the boy and his brown hair blowing out of his face because of the wind. He didn't share my gaze. Instead, he looked away, still patting my head softly.

"Why.." I started, but he just shook his head.

Finally, he looked at me and said,
"Girls shouldn't cry, they look ugly and gross. So... Just.. Just calm down."

I opened my mouth once more to speak, but he shook his head once more and patted my head again. Finally, my crying had stopped and they just turned to little sniffles. When he felt I wouldn't burst into tears again, the boy stopped patting my head and looked at me. He pulled out a smile, only to then show a quick expression of panic and concern, but quickly recovered and gave the smile back. However I knew to well that he had seen something wrong.

He showed the weird expression when he looked at my legs.

Suddenly, here was a stinging sensation. When my curiosity got the best of me, I finally looked at my legs, only to see the horror that awaited me.

Blood.

My left sock was ripped and tattered, and to make matters worse, there was blood rushing down my leg due to an open wound from falling down. The blood had dripped down to my shoes, utterly destroying the hopes of repair.
The wound was deep and utterly disgusting, as I felt my leg loosing strength. I could barely make out any words to say but a small helpless whimper. It wobbled dangerously until I found myself collapsing to the floor. The boy quickly grabbed me and stayed silent.

"Okay, we need to get you to the infirmary room." He said calmly, picking me up.

"Ah-"

"Not a word."

But I couldn't say anything. I had lost a lot of blood, and I was shaking dangerously. I felt the darkness enclose me and then pull me into a deep sleep.

He swiftly carried me across the campus and into the A Class Infirmary Room.
By the time I gained consciousness, I was laying in a comfy nurse bed. The sheets were clean and white and there was a grey curtain pulled across the bed to shield the patient away from the other patients. I tried to move out of the bed, but I felt the pain spring up from my knee again, making me wince in pain. I let out a small whimper once more as I inspected my leg.
There was a bandage wrapped around the open wound to stop the bleeding. The wrap was colored white, but had a dark red/brown color where the injury lay, mostly due to blood flow. I tried picking it off, because I didn't want my aunt to find out I'd injured myself on the first day of school, but it wouldn't budge without a fight. I was able to pull of a tiny rim, but everything was so complicated. When I finally gave up on it, I decided to find a way to hide it. My leg had been bandaged, but the wrap didn't look that noticeable- hopefully.
To my left, there lay my backpack and a few nursing essentials on a small bedside table. I desperately reached out for my backpack, only to knock it to the ground with a loud thud.
The curtains suddenly swung open, revealing the boy from the lake and some nurses walking about. The boy had a look of worry and relief, which was absolutely different from his actions beforehand.

"Are you alright?" He asked anxiously.

Looking at his and my state of mind, I'd say he needed to be relieved more than me. There was blood on his jacket (and my footprint) and his undershirt was untucked and wrinkled. His hair was messy, as if he had been running his hand threw it for hours. Cautiously, I nodded yes and let the relief settle in for him.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience." I said, fumbling with my fingers. He picked up my backpack and handed it to me gently, not failing to notice the partially taken off wrap on my leg. He then pressed a button on the wall next to my bed, having a nurse walk in and bandage my wound once more.

"You've woken up earlier then expected," The nurse commented. She had the smallest pin curls you can imagine, and short bangs above her eyebrows.

"Usually with so much blood loss and stress you had on your body, you should've rested for a few hours, rather then just one."

'That's because I use to wake up early and find out things I shouldn't have.' I wanted to shout.

"I use to wake up early and take short naps back in Cali." I said. I wasn't technically lying, but I also wasn't giving the full truth either.

The nurse easily believed me and finished with my wrap. She then laid out a pair of over the knee high socks for me to cover up the injury.

"Figured you might want this, since there's proof of you trying to take off your bandage." She said, giggling a bit. I gave her a smile and thanked her for her kindness. The boy was still watching me, but said nothing. Nothing at all.

I limped of the bed and walked towards him, not failing to notice how nervous he looked as I got closer to him.

"Wha-" he tried to say, but I quickly grabbed a few paper towels of the table and dusted him off, wiping the footprint off of his jacket and trying to get the bloodstain out. I didn't look at him, I was too concentrate on getting him clean because of my carelessness. When I finished cleaning him the best I could, I backed off of him and apologized.

"It's okay. Sorry about before." He said, looking away. I nodded and put on my socks. Another nurse glided into the room and handed the boy a new uniform and tie for second years. When he quietly left to go change, I finally let out a breath of relief. Too many things had happened in a short amount of time. Was it a mistake coming here? If things went differently back then....

I shook my head no.

This is reality.

When I finished signing out of the nurses room, the boy came out of the changing room as well and back to the clean and rich looking outfit he once wore.

"You're leaving now?" He asked. I couldn't help but notice the sadness in his eyes.

I couldn't make out anymore noise, so I nodded yes. He smiled and put his hands inside his pockets, sighing in the process.

"Okay, be careful. See you next time."

As he walked on, I couldn't help but ask him something I didn't get around to doing.
"Ah! Wait, I didn't get your name"

He kept walking, but replied out loud, "Soon Jiyong, you?"

"Jung Soo-In."

He turned around, plugging his earbuds back into his ears and waved me off.
"Hope to meet you again, Jung Soo-In."
