Chapter Five:

Haeyin and her band mates looked around the room that they were waiting in. The room's walls had pictures of famous singers, groups, actors and actresses all over. Haeyin recognized all of them.

“Somebody pinch me... I must be dreaming.”Minho said looking around not believing what he was seeing.

Onew pinched his cheeks and Minho gave him one of his flaming glares. Onew just gave him a smile.

“Well... you said to pinch you.” Onew said to him.

“I DIDN'T MEAN IT LITERALLY!” Minho shouted at him.

“Ssshh...” Haeyin said placing a finger near when she heard someone coming.

The members of Star all kept quiet when a woman in a black suit entered the room. They all stood up and bowed their heads greeting her.  

“The president would like to speak with you. Follow me.” The woman said to them.

“Ne.” They all answered her.

They followed the woman to an elevator and they got off at the tenth floor. She then led them to a big conference room. She ushered them to their seats. They sat nervously while the woman went to get the president of Talent Entertainment.

“I'm so nervous.” Haeyin said out loud with her hands trembling.

“Just relax. Everything's going to be okay.” Minho said taking her hand in his.

Onew pretended to clear his throat and Minho took his hand away immediately. The members started to discuss among themselves. They were all nervous and excited at the same time. When Haeyin told them what happened in the alley they didn't want to believe her, even when she showed them the business card that was given to her. They only believed her when they each got a call from the company.

“Our dreams are finally coming true... aren't they?” Hyeo said.

Hyeo looked like she was about to cry. When Haeyin saw her she hugged her and felt her own tears fall. Most of the members felt the same. They all had a group hug. Their hug was interrupted when someone entered the room. They looked at the person walking in. He had a scowl on his face and he looked annoyed.

“Damn it! She's not here yet!” The guy said sitting on a seat just across where Star was standing.

Haeyin looked at him mumbling to himself. He seemed completely unaware that there were other people in the room.

“What are you looking at?” The guy said to them.

“Nothing.” Haeyin barely answered.

The guy stared at them and Haeyin felt as though those stares would melt them. She could tell that person was not someone to be messed with. Star sat a few seats from the guy and avoided eye contact with him as possible. He was wearing a pink vest and white polo with brown slacks and he had shoulder length blond hair.

Then another guy entered. This time the guy was wearing denim jeans and sleeveless blue shirt. When the guy saw the scowling guy he walked towards him. He too seemed unaware of Star's presence.

“Why did you walk away from practice like that? Kibum was really upset when you suddenly left.” The guy said to him.

The members of Star looked at Key and Key raised both his hands telling them that it wasn't him.

“I'm going to tell the president that I'm going to quit. I can't work with those people! They absolutely have no talent whatsoever!” The scowling guy said shouting at the other guy.

“Calm down. You should be patient with the trainees. Come with me so we can resume practice.” The calmer guy said.

“I'm going to quit.”

“No you aren't. You love working here.”

“You can't change my mind Han Kyung.”

“Kim Heechul, are you having one of your temper tantrums again?” A voice said from behind them.

They all turned around and saw three persons entering the room. Haeyin recognized the girl as the one that gave her the card and the guy to her right was with her. She didn't recognize the other guy to her left.

He looks familiar.

“Tha... That's Pa...Park Leeteuk.” Haeyin heard her members say.

Park Leeteuk?

The famous singer?

“Yah! I'm quitting, I can't work with those people without any talent!” The guy named Kim Heechul told the girl standing up from his seat.
“Han Kyung, be a dear and take Heechul back to the practice room. I have guests.” The girl said completely ignoring him.

“Yah! Didn't you hear me? I said I'm going to quit.” Heechul said to her.

“You've said that ___th time this week. I've told you many times to be patient with the new trainees. Now, go back to the practice room and do your job!” The girl said sternly.

Heechul mumbled something Haeyin couldn't understand and walked out of the room.

“I'm sorry for the disturbance.” The guy named Han Kyung said bowing his head before heading out the door as well.

I saw the girl rub her temples and sat at the head of the table. The other guy sat next to her while Park Leeteuk went to the window and looked at the view. The girl saw us and smiled. So did the guy next to her.

“I apologize for the interruption a while ago. My name is Park Minye president of Talent Entertainment. And this is Choi Siwon. He will be managing Star if all of you decide to take our offer and sign with us.” Minye said to them.

She then handed each member a piece of paper which is supposed to be their contracts.

“Here are the terms and conditions, Talent Entertainment will handle all your affairs in terms of business, schedules, performances, recordings, promotions... etc... all except your personal matters. As long as it doesn't involve the company we won't interfere. We let our artists date and have normal lives; our main goal is to give budding artists such as your selves a chance to make it in this business. Talent will provide you with dormitories and you will have to live there as long as you are with the company. You can go home to your friends and family and visit of course. All you have to do is arrange the schedules with us.” Minye started explaining.

Minye talked some more about the advantage and disadvantages of signing to Talent. Haeyin also expressed what her band wanted as well, to which Minye agreed.

“Well, what do you guys think?” Siwon asked them.

Haeyin looked at the other members of Star and all of them nodded. Haeyin took a deep breath.

“Okay... where do we sign?” Haeyin said with a smile.
