『WHEN THE DARKNESS COMES』[Five Years Ago from Present Day]
Amber felt hopeless - at the end of her tether - when she returned to London and as if the weather was reading her emotions the temperature dropped, the winter storm had rolled in and blanketed the already gloomy city of London.
She had held a small hope that one day she would find this one artifact that would help them break their curse and she would finally be able to touch him, feel him and returned to his warm and comforting arms. However, everything changed when he had decided to choose a different path.
She thought that a millennia of separation and heartache would prepare her for a day like this, but the truth is that it hurt just as bad or even worse than the first time they were separated.
The cold weather hung over London for a month like a plague. Amber didn’t care because it suited her mood.
She spent every single day at the museum. She walked between the British Museum and her row house in Belgravia, which is a good forty minutes walk, but Amber enjoyed the cold air on her skin. It was during this walk that she started to notice a familiar face standing in the same spot that she had saved him months ago.
Every day for a month she walked passed him, making sure that he doesn’t notice her and every single day he was there standing at the corner of the street where they had first met. Her curiosity betrays her and so she decided to observe him – from afar of course
He was bundled up from head to toe to keep him warm from the cold, but you can see that the cold still seeped into his bones. He shivered and always had his arms around himself, rubbing his arms up and down, hoping that the friction would keep him warm. His head swivelled from side to side ever so often, like he was looking for someone.
He would stand there for hours, once she clocked
