Pair: HyuKen

Hyuk is having a hard time concentrating on his sleep because of their busy schedule lately. His body clock is pretty messed up lately, he knows, but he couldn’t complain though. He picked a hard job and he likes it enough to swallow the discomfort he feels about it.

However, since he is smart, he finds a different way to address his discomfort by displacing it to something—someone—else. He makes his hyungs the objects to divert his stress and suffer with him. Call him bad but that’s just how he handles the stress.  For instance, Hakyeon is a great stress relief. If he ignores the group so-called ‘umma’ and acts upset, the eldest will give him everything he wants in a heartbeat. They all know that their leader is very thrifty and to see and hear him willing to buy something so easily just to comfort him, makes Hyuk very happy already. Sometimes the members complain in jealousy and it only adds to the happiness their opportunist of a magnae feels when the leader pampers him. It was childish but what can he say, he’s a kid. They always treat him that way anyway. 

He also relieves stress from Hongbin by hiding one of his blank films away and successfully triggering the older’s mild OCD. He likes how no one but Hongbin notices what was missing even if it’s not labeled. He doesn’t even count the black cylindrical cases when he looks for it, he just knew something moved. Who moved it though was a mystery to him since the actual culprit is the last person he has in mind. The innocent Hongbin will always ask Hyuk first if he saw the missing object to which the younger will reply with an obvious ‘no’. Hongbin will leave and Hyuk would chuckle silently, hearing the older lad shuffle around and make a mess of the dorm he only cleans by himself. Hyuk will now pretend to help him afterwards and of course find the object which is inside his pocket all the time. The fun part will happen, Hongbin will say “Thank you, hyung,” and Hyuk will cooly say ‘No problem’. It was an old, half promised gesture that they made up back then when the Hyuk suddenly confessed being the youngest was tiring. Hongbin told him if he did something good for him, he’ll definitely call him hyung for a day. Although not publicly, he complies with it without a fail even it comes out as whispered honorific.

All in all, Hyuk has utilized s use for him. When he misses his mom or his family in general he goes to Hakyeon and lets himself get pampered with their over affectionate leader. When he feels sick being the magnae he goes to Hongbin. When he feels very uncomfortable he looks for Taekwoon to ask him random question just to make the latter feel the same way and indirectly relay his discomfort. Taekwoon is mature and his short but spot-on advices had always helped him since debut days when they’re both awkward and didn’t know each other well enough. And last but not the least, there’s Wonshik who cures his everyday boredom by confessing he’ll definitely ask her sister out when they meet or pretending he met his
