AUTHOR’S NOTE
There was a time where I was hoping that if there was a Dream High 3, Yubin would be perfect playing a cool teacher in it. This idea mixed with the idea of a possible sequel to my other fic series, The Thin Line, I finally came out with this fic. Think Dream High meets Thin Line meets Reply 1997(since there will be instances of flashbacks in this story). It is an AU fic in a canon world of kpop?

PLOT SUMMARY
The JYP Foundation School of Arts (JYPFSA) is founded by veteran music legend JY Park. Established in 2003, the school has been running for the past 10 years under the watchful eye of his mentorship, JY Park who still resides as Principal of the school. The high school is unlike any arts school as in recent years, JYPFSA has included the distinct staffing of celebrity teachers who are past graduates from JYPFSA and are mostly popular idols who come from JY Park’s artist management company, JYPE. Though, these celebrity teachers are only teaching on a part-time or short-term basis due to their busy idol schedules, it is still a unique structure that stands out. Young Koreans have labeled the school as Dream High – the school where students not only get to learn the fine arts, as they follow the footsteps of their predecessors in achieving their dreams of stardom, but also have the chance to learn from teachers could be actually one of your favorite idols. Now isn’t that a dream come true as well?
The class of 2007 is touted the most successful batch of graduates from JYPFSA so far. Popular Idols like Wonder girls, 2pm, 2am, B2ST were all graduates from class of 2007. And now, 5-6 years on, some of these successful idols are taking some time to contribute to the teaching society in JYPFSA, to coach and guide young souls to the road of achieving their artistic goals.
This is a story about the trials and tribulations of a student-turned-idol-turned-teacher. It is also tells the story of her younger days as a student in JYPFSA where she fell in love with the most unlikely boy in school. Their relationship managed to last for several years but by the 7-year mark when things get stale and they decide to go their separate ways, somehow an unexpected turn of events sets the couple onto a whirlwind battle of crazy rivalry. Will it drive them further apart or perhaps drive them crazy enough to fall in love again?
Foreword
She enters the school as like any normal day. Flipping through her teaching notes, she walks in long strides through the usual hallway leading to the teachers’ office. She can hear her own heels clicking loudly in a hurry since she is running late. Somehow, today, she hears cluttered whispers around her and she realizes something is off.
Yes, she feels it.
It’s all the eyes on her.
Everyone’s eyes on her, students and teachers as well. She is wearing the usual formal wear of the teaching staff so it can’t be some inappropriate dressing or something.
She looks up after checking on herself and stares back at the people around her but only to see them turning to whisper among themselves, as if in gossip mode. She walks briskly to the office, trying to avoid the stares.
What the was going on?
She walks into the teachers’ office where some teaching staff who was gathered together in a discussion suddenly disperse to their desks upon her arrival.
She looks at them, wondering why they are all avoiding her or obviously talking behind her back. She has been working in JYPFSA for 3 months already and it is not like she is a stranger to everyone. Most of her fellow colleagues in the school are fine. There are her JYP label-mates and also some nice friendly teaching staff whom she will have lunch with but there are also some gossipy ones who were those in a secret discussion earlier and she doesn’t really hang out with them.
Then she gets an eye signal from Jo Kwon, her label-mate and also the acting vice principal of the school, whose desk is just next to hers. He keeps blinking and bobbing his head, possibly advising her to check her computer. She catches the hint and switches on her PC while Jo Kwon slides her a post-it note that reads “Check the entertainment news!”
She nods in acknowledgement and goes on to Nate immediately.
Jo kwon notes her jaw-dropping expression when she sees the headline and awaits for her verbal expression next.
“What the Fuuu…??!!” Yubin grasps as she grabs her hair, staring at her computer screen in horror.
