"WHAT?!" Jiyoung's voice echoed around the entire restaurant, causing all eyes to fall on them. L.Joe was sharing on how he thought that Sohyun had got the hint that he likes her, but instead, Sohyun thought the other way round. Now, Sohyun thought that L.Joe likes Jiyoung and is even willing to support them.
"How is that even possible?! YOU.ME?! Totally impossible." Jiyoung emphasized, clearly taken aback by her best friend's thoughts. Then, something crossed her mind which caused her to slapp her forehead mentally, "Now that I remember, Sohyunie is one of the slowest among the 94'line."
"I can clearly see the reason why."
"Oppa. You should just confess. That will be way more easier."
"I've tried, during the Midnight Date."
Jiyoung's eyes went wide open and leaned forward, waiting for L.Joe to continue his story.
"But the weather kills everything. Right before my confession, it started to pour heavily."
"Ayeee." Jiyoung leaned back and whined as the of the story hits the bottom. "But you shouldn't give up. Just continue trying! Efforts will never betray you!"
"But feelings does."
Jiyoung continued to keep her eyes on L.Joe, somehow or rather, L.Joe seems to have lost his confidence as compared from before.
"Well. You will never know the outcome unless you've tried." Jiyoung's words caused L.Joe to shifted his eyes towards her as she gave him an assured smile. "Although I don't know if there will be a happy ending even after your confession. But I do know that you will never know the answer unless you've tried. Even if outcome isn't what you've expected, at least you've tried your best."
Finally, L.Joe let out a chuckle before smiling, "Yah, Kang Jiyoung. I didn't expect something like this from you."
"That's why, you should never judge a book by its cover. I can be a mature adviser if I want to." Jiyoung said proudly, placing her hands on her waist, turning back into a kid within seconds.
"Yeah. Yeah. That really helps though. Thanks." L.Joe continued smiling, "Now I do agree with Taemin's words, you really do know when to say the right words."
Taemin Oppa? Jiyoung's eyes sparkled with curiosity. But before she could ask about it, she was interrupted, "What about you?"
"What about me?" She asked while taking a sip of her drink. At the same time, their food was served.
"Who do you like?" L.Joe asked casually, "Come to think about it, we're always talking about me. It's your turn to share something about you."
"I've no idea." She answered before munching on her food, earning weird glances from L.Joe.
"Today is gonna be the Middle Choice Selection and you still have no idea about it?"
"I'm still in the middle of sorting things out too."
L.Joe threw a dissatisfied stare at her, "You can be pretty picky when it comes to opening up to people."
In respond, Jiyoung just laughed and continued with her meal. But he's right too, Jiyoung has always been careful with her words and expressions to ensure that her feelings are well hidden. In another words, she's picky when choosing the correct ones to open up to. "Oppa. Just focus on your confession. Since you're gonna confess anyway, why don't you jus
