The next day came and Donghae decided to wake up extra early to go spend some time with the blonde at Leeteuk’s café before going to work. He smiled at that thought of spending some time with the blonde before he got ready he went to his car and drove to the café.

Once he arrived he noticed that the café was still closed since it was too early but Leeteuk was there nonetheless. Donghae smiled before going to the door and knocking on the glass to get Leeteuk’s attention who looked confused at the door before smiling when he noticed the other. He quickly went to open the door for him.

“Donghae! You’re here early.” He said and Donghae just shrugged.

“I decided to come early to have breakfast here before I go to work.” He lied while smiling innocently at the other. Leeteuk just looked at him suspiciously before shrugging.

“Come on in and sit down then.” He said and Donghae nodded before going to sit down on the same table as the day before.

“Wait here. I’ll go make you some pancakes.” Leeteuk said and turned around to go to the kitchen when Donghae held his hand stopping him from walking away. Leeteuk looked at him confused while Donghae just looked in another way while scratching his neck nervously.

“What’s up?” Leeteuk asked.

“I was just wondering if… Is Hyukjae here?” He asked and grinned at the other who just snickered.

“So that’s why you came so early. I knew that something’s off knowing that you hate waking up early. Hyukjae is inside sitting with Kanginnie in the kitchen. I’ll call him out for you.” Leeteuk said while smiling at Donghae before walking away.

Once he was away, Donghae sighed and looked nervously wondering how he should get the other to be his friend and like him. Seeing how cheerful and innocent the other was yesterday, he didn’t think that it’ll be hard. He smiled while remembering the other’s cute smile and chuckled when he remembered how adorable he looked while holding his monkey plushie and pouting. He couldn’t believe how a person – a guy he might add- could be so cute and adorable without even meaning to.

He kept smiling to himself when he heard soft footsteps coming his way. He looked up to find the blonde walking towards him while looking shyly to the ground and holding his monkey plushie in his hands like the day before. Donghae had to use all his power to not just shout aloud ‘aw’ at the sight infront of him.

He smiled at the blonde until he came and stood beside the chair infront of him never looking up at the other.
Donghae chuckled making him peek shyly at him before looking down again.

“Why are you standing Hyukjae? Sit down.” He said softly and the other obeyed sitting down still looking down. Donghae cleared his throat to get his attention. When he succeeded, he smiled before reaching his hand out.

“I didn’t introduce myself right yesterday right? I’m Lee Donghae –your brother’s friend- I’m 25. Now you introduce yourself.” Donghae said and grinned at the other. Hyukjae just looked at his stretched out hand before taking it in his hand and shaking it carefully.

“I’m Hyukjae.” He said and grinned back at the other. His shy side already was gone.

“Hyukjae. What a cute name. Well, Hyukjae how old are you?” Donghae asked although he already knows but to just make the other comfortable before talking more.

“Eighteen!” He replied happily.  His grin widening.

“I guess you’ll have to call me hyung then huh?” He said making Hyukjae pout.

“I don’t want to.” He said and pouted more while frowning. Donghae just chuckled at the scene infront of him before pouting too just to play along with the other.

“Why not?” He asked.

“Because I’m always the younger! I call everyone Hyung but no one calls me Hyung! It’s not fair.” He answered and crossed his arms sulking.

“Is that so? Then what about you call me Hae instead?” Donghae said and grinned at the blonde. Hyukjae made a thoughtful face for awhile before grinning back at Donghae.

“Deal!” He shouted happily.

“Okay then. We’re friends from now on.” Donghae said. Hyukjae nodded at that excitedly

“Say Hyukjae. What do you think about going out to the park this afternoon for a walk?” Donghae suggested and Hyukjae almost jumped up and down while nodding his head in agreement.

“Yes. Yes! Let’s go!” He said excitedly and clapped his hands in happiness when suddenly he stopped and pouted. 

“But Teukkie Hyung won’t allow me. He never allowed me to go out with anyone other than him and Kangin Hyung.” He said and pouted more.

“Don’t worry I’ll convince him.”  Donghae said.

“Really?” Hyukjae asked looking doubtfully at him.

“Yeps.” Donghae replied while nodding confidently. Seeing that, Hyukjae grinned before throwing himself to hug Donghae from across the table.

“Yay! Thanks Hae. You’re the best!” He said excitedly before he realized what he had done and he let go of the other while a deep red blush started to spread across his cheeks. He looked down shyly before sitting down on his seat again.

“S-Sowy.” He mumbled and looked up at Donghae giving him his best puppy eyes he could manage. Seeing the other make that adorable face, Donghae’s breath cut in his throat and he almost melted from the other’s cuteness.

“I-It’s okay. I don’t mind.” He said and cleared his throat before smiling at the other gently. Hearing that, Hyukjae grinned at him while still blushing. They stared at the other for awhile. Donghae wondering how could the blonde be so perfect while Hyukjae just blushed even more when he noticed how Donghae was staring so intensely at him while smiling gently.

He looked down shyly and played with his monkey plushie nervously making Donghae chuckle at his adorable act.
They sat like that in a comfortable silence with Donghae staring adoringly at Hyukjae and Hyukjae blushing while playing with his plushie.

Not long after Leeteuk finally came back with two plates of pancakes for both Donghae and Hyukjae to eat. He placed the plates down before looking up noticing that both of them didn’t notice that he already came.

He looked from the staring Donghae to the blushing Hyukjae and back from Hyukjae to Donghae a few times before he decided to finally catch their attention and he cleared his throat.
They both flinched when they heard that before looking up to see an amused Leeteuk looking at both of them while crossing his arms.

“Finally. I thought you two would stay like that forever. Now start to eat I made you some pancakes Donghae. And for you Hyukkie, I made them with strawberry syrup.” He said and Donghae smiled when he noticed how Hyukjae’s eyes sparkled after hearing the word ‘strawberry’.

“You like strawberry?” He asked looking at Hyukjae who just nodded happily at him before taking the plate infront of him to eat. He was about to eat when he pouted and looked at Leeteuk with puppy eyes.

“Teukkie Hyung. Feed me.” He asked  in a cute voice while giving the best puppy eyes look he could manage. Leeteuk smiled apologetically at him before ruffling his hair.

“Mianhae Hyukkie. But I have to open up the café now.” He replied making Hyukjae pout and look sadly down. He looked apologetically at him when he heard Donghae clear his throat. He looked at him confused but then he smiled when he got what the other wanted.

“What about you let Donghae feed you?” He said to Hyukjae making him look at him in surprise before looking at Donghae and blushing while pouting alittle. When Leeteuk saw that Hyukjae is going to refuse he quickly made up an excuse to stop him from talking.

“I need to go now then. It’ll be a busy day. Donghae take care of my Hyukkie for me neh?” He said and winked at Donghae who grinned at him in return. Leeteuk then left them alone.

After that Donghae looked back to find Hyukjae still blushing and looking down. He chuckled before dragging his chair to sit next to Hyukjae who looked up confused at him. He just ignored him and started to cut some pieces of the pancake before placing it infront of the blonde’s lips.

“Say ‘ahh’.” He said while smiling gently at the other making Hyukjae blush even more until the blush already reached the tip of his ears. He looked shyly at Donghae before slowly opening his mouth to let the other feed him.

He quickly smiled happily when he tasted the strawberry flavor before opening his mouth again demanding more. Donghae just smiled back before feeding him more of the pancake. He kept feeding him until he finished them and Hyukjae by now was grinning from ear to ear.

“Did you like that?” Donghae asked and Hyukjae nodded his head happily.

“Yes! Thanks Hae.” He thanked Donghae.

“No problem. Well, I have to go now. I have work to do. I’ll see you this afternoon to go to the park okay?” He replied and Hyukjae nodded excitedly at that.

“Bye then.” Donghae said before leaning forward to give Hyukjae a peck on the cheek and then walking away  quickly leaving a blushing blonde behind.

Donghae entered his company building. His smile long gone and his serious face is back. the co-workers bowed for him again and he like always just nodded before heading to his office,

Once he arrived he sat down on his chair while grinning from ear to ear. He couldn’t believe how his feeling about the blonde is growing so fast. Too fast actually. It has already been two days and he already feels like he wants to protect and to take care of the other forever if he could.

He doesn’t want to let him go. He wants to ask him to be his boyfriend but he knows that it’s too early already. It had only been two days since they met and only today they actually talked.

He knows the blonde is too innocent for being in a relationship. But he couldn’t help but want to ask him to be his boyfriend. He knows that maybe the blonde likes him even a tiny little bit from his reaction when Leeteuk suggested that he fed him or when he kept staring at him.

He was always blushing and he was shy. He liked to think that it’s just his reaction because he maybe liked him rather than his reaction because he’s a new friend and almost a stranger to him. He maybe should ask Leeteuk and see what he says. If he got a positive answer then he’ll try asking him carefully today although it’s too early. If not then he’ll wait for a little while more before seriously asking again.

After awhile of thinking, Donghae finally decided to start working to make the time fly so that he’ll be able to go to the café and meet Hyukjae again quickly.

After awhile of working, he decided to call Heechul to tell him that he might come late when he leaves for lunch so that he’ll take care of things if anything happened.

After awhile more. It was already 3PM. Donghae grinned when he saw the time before  walking out his office and out the building ignoring all the lunch invitation from his female co-workers.

He walked until he reached the café before going inside and looking around for Leeteuk until he found him cleaning one of the tables at the end of the café. He smiled before walking towards him and tapping his shoulder to get his attention. Leeteuk turned around when he felt someone tap his shouldering guessing that it was a customer but he found Donghae instead looking at him with a wide smiley face. He looked at him suspiciously before crossing his arms infront of his chest.

“What do you want?”  He asked while looking suspiciously at the other. Hearing that, Donghae faked a hurt look while looking shocked at the other.

“ Why would you assume that I want something just because I’m smiling at you? Why so cruel Hyung?” He faked a sob making Leeteuk snicker at him.

“Yeah right. You never smile that smile unless you want something. So spill it. What do you want?” He asked again and Donghae just smiled innocently at him.

“I want to take Hyukjae out now to the park.” He asked and tried doing the puppy dog eyes so that the other would agree. Leeteuk just looked at him for awhile before sighing.

“Fine. But get him back here Before 4.” He said making Donghae grin before nodding his head.

“Okay! Thanks Hyung!” He said before turning around to look for Hyukjae. Before he left he remembered that hed wanted to ask Leeteuk something so he looked back nervously at Leeteuk making the other look at him confused. He took a deep breath before finally asking Leeteuk.

“Hyung. Is Hyukjae always shy with new people?” He asked making Leeteuk look at him more confused than ever.

“No? He’s usually excited to meet new people. Why do you ask?” He heard the older say making him have small hope.

“Well, you see. Whenever I look at him or something like that he always blushed and plays nervously with his plushie. It's really cute! He looks like a baby and I just feel like squeezing him and-.”

“Donghae!”  Donghae ranted on before Leeteuk stopped him.

“You’re going off topic.”  He said and Donghae just scratched his neck in embarrassment.

“Sorry. Well anyway. Like I said, whenever I stare at him or when I fed him this morning he was a blushing mess and he looked so shy so I was wondering if he was like that with new people.”

“ No he’s not actually. Like I said. He’s always excited to meet new people and he’s never that shy. I guess you should consider yourself special then.” He said and smiled at the happy Donghae standing infront of him.

After hearing that, Donghae quickly bid goodbye to Leeteuk before going to look for Hyukjae.

He found him sitting behind the counter playing with his monkey plushie totally ignoring everything around him. Donghae chuckled before going to stand beside him and tapping him shoulder.

Hyukjae flinched a little when he felt a hand on his shoulder before looking up confusedly to find Donghae’s smiling face right infront of him. He stared at the other alittle before a blush started to spread across his cheeks after noticing how close their faces are.

“H-Hae.” He mumbled in a soft voice making the other grin.

“Let’s go. We’re going to the park!” Donghae said making Hyukjae forget his embarrassment and to grin before standing up excitedly.

“Yay! Let’s go let’s go let’s goo!” He said while jumping up and down excitedly making Donghae chuckle before he reached out to hold Hyukjae’s hand. Feeling a hand holding his, Hyukjae stopped jumping and looked down at his hand to find Donghae’s hand holding his. Again his cheeks blushed and he looked away shyly.

“wouldn’t want you to get lost.” Donghae said while smiling gently at the other and Hyukjae just nodded shyly.

“Let’s go then.” He said before they both walked out to head to the park.

When they arrived they walked around for a little and Donghae bought cotton candy for Hyukjae without him asking just to see his adorable gummy smile grin at him.

They walked around some more and it was already 3:45pm. They were supposed to go back already but Donghae figured that a couple more minutes wouldn’t hurt. He lead Hyukjae to a bench and they both sat down.Hyukjae was happily eating his cotton candy and Donghae thinking about how he should ask Hyukjae what he’s about to ask.

“Hey Hyukjae.” He called softly and the other looked at him still happily eating his candy.

“Can I ask you a question?” He asked and Hyukjae just nodded in response.

“W-What do you think of me?” He asked gently and Hyukjae thought for a second before grinning at him.

“I think you’re very nice Hae!” He said excitedly and Donghae smiled at him.

“Do you like me?” He asked and he felt like smacking his own head right then for being too direct with the other. He didn’t want to scare him.
He waited for the other to answer but Hyukjae just like other times, looked down and blushed. He was quiet for awhile before nodding his head. Seeing that. Donghae grinned happily before gently placing his finger under Hyukjae chin to make him look at him. He smiled when he noticed how red the blonde was before he finally asked.

“Then, would you like to be my boyfriend?” He asked and kept smiling watching how Hyukjae’s face got redder and redder by the second.

“Y-You mean like Teukkie Hyung and Kangin Hyung are?” He asked and blinked at him. Donghae just nodded at him and wait for his answer. After awhile of silence, Hyukjae finally nodded his head as a yes. And that’s when Donghae was sure that he could die from happiness that very moment. He grinned at the other before gently pulling him into a hug.

“Thank you Hyukkie. I promise I’ll take care of you and I’ll try my best to make you always happy.” He said and tightened his hug at the other. He felt how Hyukjae nodded his head and shyly hugged him back making his grin widened even more if that was even possible. After awhile of hugging, Donghae broke the hug and took Hyukjae’s hand in his.

“Let’s go back then. Teukkie Hyung will be worried if we were late.” He said and Hyukjae just nodded his tomato red face before they both stood up and walked back to the café while holding hands.

once they arrived, Donghae told Leeteuk about them being a couple while Hyukjae just stood blushing behind him. Leeteuk kept exclaiming that it was too early but after seeing the happy and shy look on his little brother’s face he just stopped and congratulated them.

It was already time for Donghae to go back to work and Hyukjae pouted while bidding Donghae goodbye so Donghae thought about an idea.

“Hey Leeteuk Hyung.” He called and the other answered him with a smile.

“Can I take Hyukkie out tomorrow for a date? I want to take him to the festival. ” He said and he watched how Hyukjae looked excited and happy at him before turning to look at Leeteuk with his puppy dog eyes.  Seeing the look the younger gave him. Leeteuk couldn’t help but sigh and nod his head in agreement making both Donghae and Hyukjae grin in happiness.

“But be careful and take care of my Hyukkie.”  Leeteuk warned and Donghae just nodded before leaning in to steal a peck from Hyukjae cheek before running out to his work again leaving the blonde blushing behind.

The days ended fast and it was already Wednesday night and Donghae was getting ready to go pick his blond boyfriend up from their first date. Donghae smiled at that thought before looking one last time at his appearance in the mirror and finally taking his car’s keys and walking out his apartment and to his car. Once he was inside, he drove away while humming a song.

He was very excited for this date. He hadn’t been dating anyone for 6 years and even the ones he dated before he never liked him as much as he liked Hyukjae.

Although they didn’t meet for a long time but he already feels like Hyukjae is his world now. He won’t be able to live without him. He doesn’t know how it happened but it just did. One moment he promised he would never think about liking someone and the next he’s already deeply in love with a cute and adorable boy.

He smiled thinking about him before he turned to the next street where he knows Leeteuk and Hyukjae lived.
He was driving in the empty streets when he noticed an ambulance running past him and to a crowded place. He frowned when he noticed how dark smoke was starting to surround the area and how the crowd was watching a building in panic.

He frowned and he guessed that there was a fire in one of the buildings but when he got closer his frown turned into a panicked expression before he turned off his engine and ran out of the car to where the fire was.



It was Hyukjae’s apartment.

I really hope you liked this chapter cause it took me alot of time to write it but I'm still not satisfied with it ><
