The next few days passed so peacefully and nicely , The relation between Hyuna and Hongki became stronger , they were always meeting , laughing , sharing their feelings , she comes often to  his  house to see mina, and play with her  , so they got closer too . soon the vacancy was over , and  hyuna came back to school , but this time with confidence and joy , she could obtain higher grades because her mind was healthy , not depressed and full of thoughts the way it used to be , she has something to look forward cause when school is over , Hongki comes to pick her up , and give her a ride home , the high school girls noticed how happy she was and were jealous of her " lucky her , good grades and an amazing boyfriend i evny her " but it doesn't matter what people say to her .

one day , As they were coming back from school , they were holding hands and Hyuna was talking about how well she did in her tests , and he was cheering her and telling her how proud he is , till they reached her house , they parted after saying  goodbye to each other and he waited for her till she got in to continue on his way , few steps away he saw a lady carrying a heavy bag coming his way, he rushed to her and offered his help

" let me hold that for you Madam ,  it must be heavy "

" oh thank you my son " she replied , she stared at him closely then added " i know you , aren't  you  a friend of Hyuna ? I'm her mother "

He got confused and didn't know what to answer because he didn't want to cause her trouble with her family  " euh ; yeah we're just friends "

" i'm glad my daughter is seeing nice people like you , she became happy and less lonely than she used to be , i'm so relieved she has friends to help her and stand with her in these hard conditions ... " she stopped talking and stared at the ground

" it's okay to say it , i know everything about her illness " 

she smiled at him " then i guess it will be okay to talk to you about this , i'm grateful you're  handling her and didn't give up on her despite her stubbornness  and the choice she made , if only she met you earlier maybe she wouldn't have made such a careless decision  "

Hongki seemed kind of confused " what choice ? "

" you know , refusing to take the treatment , maybe she was just lost back then "

he froze and his eyes went all red , she lied , how could she look me in the eyes all  this time when she lied to me

" what ? " she stared at him for a moment then wondered " oh , you didn't know . . . i thought  you knew since you're so close "

A lot of things were going on in his mind , anger , sadness , questions " why ? ... "

" listen my son , i'll tell you the truth but promise you'll keep it just between us , i'll only do it cause i believe you're so nice and you care about my daughter so much "

she told him everything about her and more , he was listening and couldn't believe what he heard , he was shocked , it seems like his world went upside down , he didn't say a word , just walked her home greeted her then came back , his eyes and his expressions changed

" If what  i just heard is true , then we've been living a big lie all this time , i have to tell her but things will never be the same "

at hyuna's :

" mom , you're back , let me get the bag for you "

" thanks , i . . met your friend on my way here , we've talked and he's nice , you're lucky to have such nice people arround you remember that "

" you did ?? and you even talked to him , what did you talk to him about , i hope you didn't bring out anything private "

" well i might have let something slip out of my mouth "
