Intro: Neither remembered just how they’d come across the other. It just… happened.

They hadn’t even met in real life yet. Despite that they’d talk every single day, exchanging silly texts and making each other laugh.

Life was going pretty much normal for both of them, when Soohyun exclaimed that he'd been accepted into UKISS. His chat-friend was very very very happy for him. So much he sent him a whole cake to feast on.

Gradually they started sharing secrets and problems, comforting and always being there for each other. They didn’t realize how precious their relationship had gotten during the years.

Not after their debut as part of UKISS.

Not until that day.

“Kibum? What’re you doing here?” Soohyun looked up with curiosity.

“Oh hi~” Kibum flashed a smile “I’m meeting up with a friend here. You?”

“Ah, I’m waiting for someone too.” Soohyun scratched the back of his head, blushing slightly. Why was he so nervous?

Ordering drinks, after about half an hour of awkward silence later, Soohyun fished his phone out of his pocket and almost furiously typed a message, slightly annoyed at the lateness of his friend.

Kibum’s phoned buzzed, startling both of them. He looked at it and turned to Soohyun with a smug grin. He lifted his phone in the air and shook it knowingly.

“Hyunhyun~”

“…You-you are m-mister boom??” Sooyhun stuttered and blinked at his own automatic response, his eyes wide.

Kibum’s laugh filled the café as he clapped wildly, cracking up at his friend's reaction. It intoxicated a big smile on Soohyun’s lips as he too started laughing.

“It’s you! I’ve finally met you! Hahaha!” He cheered, throwing his hands in the air, making Kibum laugh more.

A certain amount of time later after they were done laughing, they settled back onto their chairs and stared at each other. Both exchanged loving gazes as they sipped from their drinks, now calm. Kibum spoke first.

“This must be fate.”

And Soohyun nodded, pulling out his phone again. "A very fitting fate." He thought, adding a little ♥ next to his lifetime chat-partner’s nickname.
