The NightOn a brisk night in the middle of nowhere away from civilization, a large stadium standing long and wide right in the middle of the bare desert can be seen. The millions of stars in the night sky illuminate the stadium just enough to see the sea of people chattering loudly and anxiously as they wait for the night to begin. The middle of the stadium though is pitch black to keep the battle field a mystery to those viewing.
“Who do you think will win this year, appa?” An eager young boy asks an older man sitting next to him.
“Who knows, my son. Every decade is different. It's unpredictable, anything can happen. Lets just hope this following decade will be as prosperous as the last one.”
The younger boy nods and looks over admiringly at the two families sitting miles apart at opposite ends of each other in the stadium. The two families that hold so much power, that take care of the people, and are so modest in their teachings to their people; they are the Shiro and Kuro clan.
At the far right of the stadium on a platform, the Shiro family’s representatives of 2 men and 1 woman dressed in all white samurai robes can be seen sitting on gold thrones next to each other with straight stone calm faces. They sit in silence busying themselves with either a book or just staring off into space. All three sit with a demanding presence emitting of only elegance and class.
“I’m sorry to bother you Sir Siwan and Lady Uee but excuse me for I have a message for Lord Kwanghee,” Siwan and Uee nod to the messenger boy dressed in grey without looking up from their books. The man sitting in the middle of the three nods as well as he waves the messenger boy over to him. He then slowly leans back onto his throne and smirks as the boy whispers in his ear. A playful smirk slowly makes its way onto his face as he glances over across the stadium to the opposite end.
“Tell her, may the games begin,” Kwanghee nods at the boy before stopping him from leaving,
"Oh wait, and please tell her that I am fine over here. I can keep myself company just fine and I am certainly not bored." Kwanghee chuckles and waves at the boy once more sending him off this time.
He then stands up with a smirk and bows exaggeratedly in the opposite direction of the stadium towards the woman sitting in the middle of the two men.
Although they are far from each other, the woman from the opposite side stands up and curtsied shortly in return with a small smile and wave to say hello.
At the far left of the stadium the Kuro family can be seen. The 2 men and 1 woman are dressed in all black traditional samurai robes and seated on high large wood thrones with diamond accents at the top of each wood throne. Their presence completely opposite from the family on the right, they are casually chatting with one another with bright faces and relaxed postures. But despite the causality of how the family is acting, their presence is still strong and demanded respect.
The woman who stood up sits back down and laughs heartily as the same messenger boy dressed in grey whispers something in her ear. She whispers something back and sends the boy scattering off.
“Oh ho, my dear sister Sunhwa, I think he fancies you,” A rough looking young man sitting on the right of the woman smirks as he teases her.
“Oh hush Yonggukkie, it was just a short greeting between two heads of the family before the ritual,” She laughs again and Yongguk smirks turning back to face forward looking at the clan sitting opposite of them in completely differing attire.
“I beg to differ, his smirk says it all. Would you like to see sister Sunhwa?” Himchan, who sits to the left of her, holds up a mirror with the reflection of what Kwanghee, Siwan, and Uee are doing on the other side of the stadium.
“Oh stop spying on other people with your magical amulets Himchannie. That’s not very nice. Would you like it if someone spied on you with their powers? Hmm?” Sunhwa scolds.
“I guess not,” He replies while chuckling as he sets
