ANGELA   I woke up earlier than the usual. I looked on my watch and it was just 6am. The sun was starting to rise.  I couldn’t really bring myself back to sleep anymore so I decided to prepare this hangover cure for Zee instead.  I took a quick shower first and changed into my light yellow halter-styled summer dress. I wore a white cardigan over it since it felt a bit chilly. Zee was still fast asleep on the bed so I carefully got out of the room so as to not wake her up.   As I got to the bottom of the stairs, my jaw almost dropped at the sight of the boys scattered all over the area. I caught a glimpse of Yesung oppa lying eagle-spread on the floor. Zhou Mi Ge’s leg on top of Ryeowook Oppa while Sungmin Oppa made Shindong Oppa his human pillow.   I couldn’t help myself from snickering silently as I shook my head at the sight of them then hurriedly made my way to the kitchen. These boys. It was such a relief that the staffs know how to speak English. I asked if they had any tomatoes and eggs available and luckily there were some. I blended the two together, adding some crushed ice with it. I’ve learned making this back in the Philippines. I’ve read it on the internet one random time and since then, this is the remedy I make for my friends whenever one of them gets drunk.   As soon as I finished with the preparation, I took the glass on hand and made my back up to our room. Something stopped me as I stepped out of the kitchen though.   Looking over on my left, I noticed Kyuhyun was lying curled up on the couch I hid in from last night’s game, his mouth slightly open.  Next thing I knew, my feet brought me closer to where he was. I couldn’t help but wonder how many drinks he downed last night.     I glanced at him longingly, pity creeping upon me. I sighed, knowing that I couldn’t stand seeing him in this kind of state.  I set Zee’s glass aside for awhile on a nearby table. Kyuhyun looked really uncomfortable. His neck must feel extra strained once he wakes up. I grabbed one of the pillows that fell down on the floor and as I did so, I was surprised at sight of Siwon Oppa’s big arm hanging by the couch he was lying down on, which was just adjacent to Kyuhyun’s couch.   After shaking it off, I placed the pillow behind Kyuhyun’s head. I carefully lifted his head so as to not wake him up though I don’t think he will anyway. He looked really knocked out and he reeked of red wine. I could see some stains on his shirt too..   A cold breeze came across us. Though the sun was high up, it was pretty chilly especially since it’s still early in the morning. Seeing that Kyuhyun was only wearing a t-shirt and a pair of shorts, that’s obviously not enough to keep him warm. I bet he’s been cold since last night and it’s even colder then.   I looked around the room and I didn’t see any spare blanket. I took off my cardigan and placed it over him. It’s not long enough to get his whole body covered but I hope it keeps him warm for awhile. I found myself staring at his face. His skin condition is pretty bad if you ask me. He looks stressed.   And here I am… Adding up to it.   I shook my head at the thought and before any other thoughts come up that ought to strike my conscience, I got up from my seat, picked up the glass on the table and went back upstairs to our room.     When I got inside our room, I heard a shuffling sound coming from Zee’s bed as I closed the door. I sat back down on my bed and placed the hangover cure on my bedside table as I waited for Zee to open her eyes.   She let out a soft groan as she slowly opened her eyes. Her contorted facial expression could tell that her hangover is definitely kicking in.   “Good morning, sunshine!” I greeted in Korean amusedly though I was a bit uncertain if I pronounced it correctly.   “Where did you learn that?” Zee sounded surprised as she slowly switched to a sitting position.   “Leeteuk Oppa. Why? Did I say it wrong?”   “Not really. But I don’t really feel like a ray of sunshine right now.  Headache.” Zee said weakly as she massaged her temples.   I grinned at her. “More like a bad case of hangover.”   “Who switched the glasses?” She said rather grudgingly.   Oh hoho. Better get ready for her explosion!   “No one did, Zee. When Siwon Oppa handed back Heechul Oppa’s glass, you took it by accident.”   “Great!” Zee muttered as she closed her eyes.   I took the hangover cure by my bedside table and handed it over to her. “Drink this. It’ll help ease the pain. Just don’t ask what’s in it.”   My friend took it and scrutinized it for awhile. She pinched her nose and shut her eyes as she downed half the glass’ content. By the looks of her expression, she obviously didn’t like the taste.   “Whatever it is, it is definitely close to disgusting!” Zee said in disgust as she wrinkled her nose.   I couldn’t help but laugh at her. Can’t blame her. Tomato juice alone would have been a nice taste. I like drinking tomato juice!  But mixing it with raw eggs…Err, that’s another story.   “Well, a cure for hangovers doesn’t always taste good.” I chuckled as I got the glass back from her and set it aside on the table again.   At least she looks a bit sober now.  That hangover cure always does the trick.  Speaking of being sober, I wonder if she---   “Did anything happen last night that I should know about?” Zee asked as she furrowed her eyebrows as if she was trying hard to remember something.   My eyes widened at her and I felt like I froze on my spot.  So she really doesn’t remember anything… That Jeju Beer must be really something.   Should I tell her? Well, knowing Zee, I’m not sure she’ll be able to handle it well. I bet it’s not really the kind of news that you would like to hear at this time of the morning.   “Um, let’s get you something to eat first!” I thought instantly just so we can get off the topic. “Besides, I’m really hungry. I didn’t get to eat much last night since the food was gone in a flash.” I looked at her hopefully. I’m really hungry to be honest and I’m sure she is as well.   “Fine. Wait for me downstairs. I’ll just change my clothes and brush my teeth.” Zee said as she stood from her bed while swaying a little but can manage to keep her composure.   Whew!  Being aware of her own crazy drinking habits, she probably didn’t want to hear of it as well. I wonder if Heechul Oppa will remember anything once he wakes up.  I bet it’s better if he’ll be the one to tell her. I could just imagine the horror on their faces if they find out that all of us witnessed what happened.   “Great! I’ll see you downstairs!” I told her as I grabbed my bag on the chair and headed out of the room.   As soon as I reached the bottom of the stairs again, nothing has changed among the oppas who were still scattered all over the room. The only difference now is that they’re all snoring loudly. If only I had a camera with me, I wouldn’t hesitate taking a photo of them. I wouldn’t dare post it on the web but it’s something I can use to annoy them when they tease me or something.  I guess it’s my turn to troll on them. Hahaha!   Well, they’ve worked hard anyway. They deserve to get a break from the limelight and live their lives as normal beings as well.   My and shoulders were starting to feel cold then I realized that I left my cardigan with Kyuhyun who looks more comfortable now compared to when I saw him earlier.  I carefully made my way to Kyuhyun, avoiding to step on the boys’ bodies and legs along the way. I rummaged my bag and took out my travel blanket which I take with me whenever I go on trips. I took back my cardigan that was wrapped on Kyuhyun and replaced it with my blanket instead. I tucked him in it and fixed the pillow behind his head once more.  I watched him with a satisfied smile. He was sleeping soundly unlike the others who were snoring loudly. My hand reached out to touch his forehead until…   “AHEM!”   I was jolted from my post that I pulled my hand back right away and turned to look behind me.   “Zee!” I whispered loudly as I walked towards her. “You scared me!”   “Not my fault you were too…” She craned her neck to get a better view of Kyu. “Preoccupied.” She grinned at me.   She probably saw what I did and well…there’s no use denying it now.   “He looked like he was freezing all curled up there! I can’t just leave him in that state.” I explained myself while I put on my cardigan and Zee just laughed at me.   “If you say so.”  She conceded though her teasing smile didn’t waiver. “Come on now. Let them sleep. I’m getting hungry.”   “Aren’t you going to put over a blanket on Heechul Oppa?” I gestured towards her boyfriend who had his body down on the table, snoring loudly.   “Nah! He should take care of himself whenever he gets drunk.” Zee dismissively waved at him as we head off outside.   “So…what do you think of Jeju so far?” Zee asked as we made our way towards this café the staffs at the resort pointed us to. It’s the nearest café that they had here, apparently.   “I like it. Thanks for tagging me along.” I said with a warm smile. “It looks like there are still many nice places to see here but too bad we can’t stay long.”   “Oh don’t worry! I guess we can visit another time.” Zee replied as we entered the café.   The café looks really lovely. It’s pretty quaint and good enough to make one feel at home.  I looked around and saw a bunch of photo frames hanging around. I peered closely and saw a portrait of a younger looking version of Super Junior. They were all complete in that photo as I also saw the unfamiliar members’ faces, all happily squished in with their glasses raised. Next to it was a photo frame of the Girls’ Generation. They all look so young and fresh here!  My gosh! How long ago since they took this photo? They all look even prettier now. Next photo frame consisted of five dashing males, but only leaving me to recognize two faces. One of which was Kyuhyun’s friend, Changmin, if I remember his name correctly, and the other one with a stronger facial feature (and who’s a hottie, by the way), Yunho Oppa. The other three faces I don’t really recognize well but I think I saw their faces on posters of one restaurant on my way home.   Once Zee and I got settled on a table for two, I was in awe as I saw the pretty overlooking ocean view on our right.   “This place is really nice.” I commented.   “Yea. I’ve heard they have good food too.” Zee said as she took the menu that the ahjumma handed over to her.   The ahjumma then smiled to me and handed one over to me as well. I was pretty excited to look at the dishes until my eyes saw Korean characters written all over the menu. I could see some pictures but I’m not really familiar with the dishes.   “Um, Zee? A little help please.” I muttered shyly and my friend gave a little laugh.   Zee moved closer beside me and we went through the menu together. In the end, we both agreed to have American style breakfast then handed back the menus back to ahjumma who just arrived in time to give us our pot of hot tea.   “So, when are you going to tell Kyuhyun about Jonghyun?” Zee’s question caught me off guard that I nearly spilled the tea as I poured over her cup.   “What are you talking about?” I asked, feeling a bit disoriented as I placed the pot down. I feel so lost all of a sudden.   “Oh! You know what I’m talking about. That confession he did almost a month ago.”  She said as she sipped on her cup.   My lips formed into an ‘oh’ as I finished pouring on my cup and looked down on it, my eyebrows furrowing. “That. Well… I don’t think he really needs to know.”   “Why not?”   The truth is… I don’t know why I even said that first. But now that I’ve thought about it for a bit, wouldn’t that be unfair on Kyuhyun’s part? But if he did know, what would he do? Will he fight for me? Or will he let Jonghyun pursue me? How will it affect their friendship? Will they start ignoring one another? No! I don’t want it ruined or tainted in anyway!   “I don’t know. It’s just that…Jonghyun’s nice and sweet. He seems like a great guy but---” I trailed off, not really knowing what I should say. It’s like it’s already at the tip of my tongue but I can’t phrase it correctly.   “You like Kyuhyun better and you’re afraid that if he finds out about Jonghyun’s confession to you, he might be all gallant Kyu and give way to his friend instead.” Zee finished for me matter of factly and I just stared at her, looking amazed.   “How in the world---”   “Oh come on Angela!  Even five year old kids can tell that you like that friend of mine.” Zee said with finality.   The ahjumma appeared with our plates and set it down on our table. We thanked her and she sweetly smiled at us before she left us.   “Fine! I like him alright!” I finally admitted to her.  “But I hate that I like him and no matter what he does, I won’t give in that easily to him!” I said as I stabbed a fork on my pancakes.   “So…you acknowledge that Kyuhyun likes you too?” Zee said with a grin before biting off her piece of bacon.   “Um, yes? He kissed me twice yesterday. And he even…” I trailed off as I felt myself blush at the sudden memory of the canoe abduction.   Should I tell Zee? I don’t think anyone knew since none of them saw us, I think. I was pretty surprised no one even mentioned about it last night,   “Is this about Kyuhyun’s abduction of you on that canoe?” Zee pressed on and my hands abruptly stopped from slicing my pancakes.   SHE KNEW ABOUT IT?!   “How did you know?” My eyes widened in shock.   “Eunhyuk Oppa saw you two.” Zee replied casually.   I feel as if someone just poured a cold bucket of ice over me. “So that means…” I trailed off yet again and Zee nodded her head, as if she already read what was going on inside my head.   “Everyone knows about it too.” Zee finished for me and I groaned in reply.   So everyone witnessed how Kyuhyun forcefully dragged me at the shore while I screamed desperately (yet none of them even came to my rescue. Yuh, like that would even happen, huh), how we were arguing on the canoe and how we both fell down to the water!   Can the ground just swallow me whole right now?   I placed my fork down and stared at my deformed pancakes and the untouched bacon and eggs. “I think I already lost my appetite.”   The food still looks mouth-watering though.   “Don’t worry. I threatened them to not tease you about it. If I didn’t, they would have brought up the incident last night.” Zee reassured me and that made me feel a bit at ease.   “Thanks.”  I said a bit gloomily. I picked up my knife and fork and started slicing through my pancakes again.   We both ate in silence for awhile, and as I took a bite of mine, I started to feel better. While I was at it, I suddenly remembered to ask Zee something. Might as well take a little detour of the conversation. Hihi.   “So, I heard Heechul Oppa’s planning to make your relationship public. Are you okay with it?” I asked Zee who seemed to be enjoying her meal a lot. It’s a good thing I really brought her to eat breakfast first.   She took a sip from her juice and furrowed her eyebrows as she thought for a bit. “Yes but not a hundred percent. Idols announcing their relationship to the public is like playing with fire.”   “So you’re more concerned for Oppa than yourself?”   “Well, I thought about it actually. How it would affect me, my family and how it would change my life drastically but I got myself into this therefore I should be able to handle it and be ready.” Zee replied calmly as she wiped her lips with the table napkin.   “Aren’t you even nervous about it?” I couldn’t help but ask, still amused at how calm she was.   But now that I think about it, it was such a stupid question to ask.   “Of course I am! Things are going to change when that happens and I’m more worried about Heechul than myself. He’s under the public’s eye so definitely this will affect him more than myself.” Zee finished explaining that I just nodded my head in agreement as I munch on my food.   I found myself nodding in agreement.  That’s the thing about being related to celebrities. Defnitely high risk but if you really love the person, then you’re gonna have to put up with everything.  I haven’t even dated anyone among the celebrities that have been linked to me before but I somehow got a glimpse of how it was like. Some fans can definitely be possessive.   We both went silent as we finished the remainders of our breakfast. As silent as I was on the outside, my thoughts were the exact opposite.   Well…let’s say Kyuhyun and I started dating. I’ve seen how fans would go crazy about him. The girls have already warned me about how extra aggressive the fangirls could be especially when it comes to these things. Will I already be able to handle it by then? Or will I end up running away from the situation again?   If my feelings are that strong for Kyu, then I guess I’m willing to risk it.  But before we can even get there, there are still a lot of things that we have to sort out. Getting involved in this was really too sudden for me. We’ve only known each other for 2 months. He’s been through a rough heartbreak. How can I be sure that I’m not just a rebound or something? I’ve never even had a real romantic relationship. Am I really ready for this? No, let me rephrase that.   Are WE both ready for this?   Then I remembered about Jonghyun once more. Zee was right that I like Kyuhyun more, which is a bit funny, don’t you think? I met Jonghyun first and he had been nice to me from the start while Kyuhyun was the opposite. The fact that they’re close friends makes the situation even harder. Sigh…   We finally finished eating and asked for the bill afterwards.   “I’ll tell him when the time is right but not because of the reason you suggested earlier. I simply don’t want their friendship ruined because of me. I am not worth that.”  I said defiantly as soon as we paid the bill.   Zee flashed me a warm, genuine smile. “I just hope he doesn’t find out from someone else than you.”   I nodded at her. I don’t know when I’ll have the guts to do so, but definitely I will find a way.    “Hey, want to go strolling and do a bit of shopping before we head back to the resort? I was thinking of getting EunHee and Kim Shin some souvenirs.” Zee asked as we stood up on our chairs.   “Sure, that sounds nice.”   We asked the ahjumma if there were any nearby souvenir shops that we could vis
