JONGHYUN   “Hyung, this is your first time doing a TV guesting without the others, right?” Minhyuk asked me as soon as we got out of our van, heading back inside our dorm.   Schedules for today just finished. We didn’t have any recordings for today as a group. Instead, Minhyuk and I came from a meeting at MNet’s headquarters regarding the upcoming shoot that we’re going to do for one of their shows. It’s called MNet’s Director’s Cut, wherein past hit songs are revived to present day version. They haven’t told us where the recording will exactly take place. All I know is it’s out of town and we will film there for two days next week on a weekend. And I think we will be joined by some girls from Girls’ Day and a couple of good old entertainers.   I was actually quite thrilled to know that I got such offer, considering that among us, I’m the one who doesn’t get much TV guesting offers. So I guess I can conclude that I’m the least popular member among us four. Yonghwa hyung is the most popular among us, no doubt about that, especially after his exposure on We Got Married. Not only has he gotten even more famous, but he’s also got to keep himself a pretty girl.   “Ne.” I answered casually as soon as we stepped inside the dorm.   “Aren’t you excited about it?” He asked again while eyeing me suspiciously.   “Yea. It’s okay.” I said in my usual tone with an eyebrow raised at him.   Minhyuk didn’t take his questioning gaze at me until Yonghwa hyung and Jungshin appeared.   “Oh, you guys are back already! How did today’s meeting go?” Yonghwa hyung asked as he slumped down the couch and switched on the television.   “Nothing much. They just briefed us about the upcoming shoot that we’ll do at some remote area next week. It might be for two days.” I answered as I placed my bag down the floor.   “Schedules finished early for today, hyung?” Minhyuk asked Yonghwa hyung as we all sat down.   “So Nyeo Shi Dae!” Yonghwa hyung suddenly blurted out loud and Jungshin, Minhyuk and I were all exchanging confused looks.   It turns out SNSD’s Oh! music video was being played and it was already nearing its ending part where the fans would usually chant in So Nyeo Shi Dae! during live performances.   Well, I can’t blame, hyung. It really is a catchy chant. Hahaha!   “Why aren’t you a very supportive boyfriend, hyung.” Jungshin said smugly, teasing glints evident in his big eyes.   “Ya!” Yonghwa hyung blushed and that earned snickers from the rest of us.   “We should have recorded that and showed it to Seohyun-ah. I wonder how she’ll react to it.” I suggested as an idea and we all laughed.   Yonghwa hyung threw a pillow at me and I was able to catch it successfully.   “She hates that song.”   “Well she may hate that song but I’m sure her love for you won’t change.” I countered and that made hyung blush even more.   “Ya! Ya! Enough meddling on my love life because as far as I’m concerned, you’ve got yours to be mindful about.” Yonghwa hyung said smugly and the two maknaes were already exchanging knowing glances.   Ah, the table has been turned.   “Ne, hyung. You haven’t really told us much about Angela lately. How is she doing?” asked Minhyuk innocently.   I just heaved a long sigh and smiled bitterly. “Nah, I think it’s a lost case.”   Now that I remember, it’s almost been two weeks since the last time we saw each other.   “Does it have something to do with “The Twisted Fate Incident” you got caught in?” asked Jungshin.   The guys already know about what happened last time and after I told them what happened, they all called it “The Twisted Fate Incident”.   “Sort of.” I said defeatedly, remembering how Kyuhyun hyung acted like a jealous, overprotective boyfriend. “It seems like that she’s with Kyuhyun hyung. She’s living with him and well, I couldn’t really do anything about that.”   “But you said Angela was only living with him because she agreed to be their housekeeper, in exchange of Kyuhyun hyung making her stay under his roof until she saves up enough money to go back to her country.” said Yonghwa hyung with furrowed eyebrows.   “Well, that’s what Ryeowook hyung explained last time. But I don’t know…” I trailed off.   Not that I don’t trust Ryeowook hyung or anything but something just tells me that there might be something more between those two.   “And wait, didn’t you mention how much Angela seems to hate Kyuhyun hyung?” asked Jungshin.   “Well yea at least that’s what I saw last time.” I said, suddenly having a vision of how the two were bickering. “But feelings can change over time. Plus, they’re living together. And—   “And you think they might start liking one another eventually so you’re thinking of giving up now?” Yonghwa hyung continued for me.   “Exactly. I might as well just put a stop to it before it all gets tangled up.” I said, feeling defeated.   “So you’re just going to leave Angela hanging? But I thought you like her?” Minhyuk asked, pouting.   Angela… Don’t get me wrong. I really like her a lot. I’ve found interest in her the moment I saw her at the airport. Though it’s already been two weeks since we last saw each other, I can’t get her out of my mind. I haven’t been seeing her not just because of what happened. Well, fine maybe a little. I couldn’t help but feel bad too, you know. I still wanted to see her but the guys and I got busy too preparing for the promotion of our new song and a re-release of our album too.   Plus there is another factor to consider.   “I do like her but…Kyuhyun hyung is my friend too. I don’t want to get in between them.”   Yonghwa hyung looked at me disbelievingly as he shook his head sideways. “Ya! Lee Jonghyun, do you want me to whack you on the head?”   I moved a seat away from hyung so he won’t be able to reach me just in case he does so. Kekeke.   “You know what the problem is? You’re jumping into conclusions right away! Are you even sure that they already like one another?” Yonghwa hyung continued as he faced me with his arms crossed. “Remember, you said it yourself. You’ve witnessed how much they despise one another. Angela turns into a beast when she sees Kyuhyun. Plus, you know Kyuhyun hyung is having a hard time getting over Victoria-sshi.”   “But—   “And don’t go reasoning out that things can change over time. Yes, that might be true but are you really just going to give up that soon? Don’t be such a martyr, Jonghyun-ah. I know you better than that.” Yonghwa hyung said seriously.   “Take that advice from someone who’s in love.” Jungshin snickered then Minhyuk and I joined in too.   “Well, that might be true but hey! We’re not going back to discussing my love life.” Yonghwa hyung said, lightly poking the maknae on the head. “What I’m trying to say here is, if you really like Angela, then fight for her before you lose your chance.”   “Yonghwa hyung’s right. Actually, I dropped by at Zee noona’s pet hotel earlier and I’ve heard some things. If you don’t hurry up, then you will really get overtaken. Seems like Zee noona and her other friends saw something going on between those two.”   “What do you mean? And what were you doing at Zee noona’s pet hotel?” I asked, my heart starting to race.   “You asked me to do some volunteer work there, remember? I informed her about it earlier and that’s when I overheard them talking. Apparently, they said Angela, who wasn’t around at that moment, seems so gloomy today. Then the noonas were speculating she was probably missing Kyuhyun hyung.” Minhyuk finished with a pout, his innocent vibes radiating all over his face.   “Well, it looks like they’ve already got a bunch of shippers.” I said quite bitterly.   “Don’t get discouraged so easily, hyung!” Minhyuk said right away as he noticed my discomfited expression.   “Take it as a challenge instead. Besides, we’re not even sure if it’s really him she’s missing. Zee noona might just be making fun of them because they’re always fighting.” Jungshin told me encouragingly as he ran a hand thorough that long, bouncy hair of his.   “And who knows? She might actually be missing you since you haven’t showed up to her for quite awhile now.” He added as he playfully shifted his perfectly shaped eyebrows up and down.   I couldn’t help but grin widely at his statement, and maybe I’m blushing too as I wonder if she misses me too or if I simply cross her mind, just like how she does to me.   That’s it! I have to see her!   Without having anymore hesitation, I stood up from my seat and grabbed my jacket, leaving the guys surprised by my sudden action.   “Where are you going, hyung?” asked Minhyuk.   “Oh you know where I’m going.” I winked and smiled at them knowingly.   “Well, that was some fast bonking on the head for you. You go get her then!” Yonghwa hyung cheered on as I made my way to the door.   Well, this is going to be one big risk but at least I won’t be having any regrets later on that I didn’t do anything about it.     I’m not sure what kind of trouble I’ll face when I get back at the dorm since I went out without exactly telling my manager where I am going. If I did tell him, I’m not sure he would even allow me. I’ll just have to come up with a decent explanation later. Or better yet, I hope the guys could cover up for me. This is just a one-time thing anyway, either this goes well or not.   I carefully got out of the van in my disguised look, a hoodie and a pair of big specs. I asked for the driver to park near the hotel, somewhere subtle so our cover won’t be blown.   My heart was racing as I walked towards the building, trying to carefully phrase the things I’m going to tell her.   Right, how should this go? Should I just barge in and grab her hands right away? No, that might freak her out.   I stopped right infront of the entrance door, having a mental debate whether to go in or not. My heart was thumping really hard and my stomach kept on doing its own stunts which finally made me decide to seek the hidden corner just right across the door. I removed my specs and hood as I wiped the sweat on my forehead. It’s so cold yet I’m sweating. Aish! I might as well gather my thoughts first.   I was in the middle of composing my thoughts when the door finally opened, wherein Angela emerged, looking tormented as she was sandwiched between her two friends who were giggling. Shortly following them behind were Zee noona and Heechul hyung.   They seemed so immerse in their discussion that they didn’t even notice my presence. Should I wait for the right time? I mean, she’s got some company. It’d be really embarrassing on my part.   Wait, is there even such thing right now? Does it even matter? I’d say it’s now or never.   So without anymore hesitation, I stepped out of the corner and cleared my throat.   “Angela!” I said as loudly as I could.   They all stopped walking and Angela’s eyes widened at the sight of me, her expression a mixture of shock and amusement.   “Jonghyun?”   I smiled at her widely and it took awhile before I g
