As Onew and the two other sailors made way to the island, they noticed that the island was like a paradise. It's sand was magnificent and the palm trees were large and looming over them. The water was clear and shiny, the coral reefs beneath were vibrant with life. Everything seemed like a postcard from Hawaii. 

"This place is creepy." One mentions while touching the water. 

"It must be cursed." The other comments, a bit nervous. 

"Cursed?" Onew shakes his head. "More like blessed."

"It is not normal." Onew nods in agreement. "These trees are so big."

"Do not think like that." 

They land on the island and they decided to split up in three directions. Onew traveled into the center of the island, going through the vines and dead wood. He felt a bit nervous as he heard some carnivorous animals screetch in the distance. Walking further in, he spots a hut shaped shelter. It was poorly made. 

Examining it closer, he studies the house. It was small, built off branches and leaves, with a fire bundle in the center of the shelter. "Where is the owner?"

Far away, he hears screams and bolts in the direction. It was one of his men screaming. 

As he arrives, he is shocked to find a young boy with shaggy hair and sharp teeth. Dressed in tattered shorts, the small boy held a knife made from pointy stones. His eyes seemed dangerous, for they were bright red. He seemed around the age of fifteen. 

Below the boy was his fellow sailor, with an incision at his neck. Teeth marks? More like bite marks, like he was bitten. Onew frowned. Was the boy that cause? This island is indeed odd. 

The young boy growled and raised his dagger-like weapon, ready to charge at any unexpected moment. 

Onew raised his hands, palms facing the boy. "I am not here to hurt you." Onew said this in a very calm manner, hoping to use body language. 

The boy glares at him, distrusting the man. His eyes were narrow and tightened his grit on the weapon. 

Onew digs threw his pockets and the boy tenses, ready to run. Finding his desired object, Onew pulls out a loaf of bread. He pulls a piece apart and eats it, demonstrating to the boy that it was food. "Yum!"

He slowly gestures to the boy, handing out the bread. The boy snatches it from his hand and takes a cautious bite. 

Chewing, the boy spits it out, disgusted and throws the remainder on the ground, spoiling it. Onew quickly picks it up. "Hey! Do not waste food!"

The boy scoffs and leans back down to the man. 

"What are you doing?!?!?" Onew pushes the boy off. 

The boy growls deeply and swipes his hand at Onew. Onew dodges and is able to knock the weapon out of his hands. 

Whilst yelling, to draw attention to his other sailor, he fought the boy. Surprisingly the boy was athletic, able to manuver Onew's military attacks. Onew had a hard time with his speed, since he was small, he was quick. But his stamina was low and Onew was able to keep up.

Rustling behind him, Onew pulls out a wooden stick. He tensed and smacked the boy, sending him flying. 

"Sir!" His other sailor comes into view. Onew sighs. "What happened to Grant?!?"

"Come help me tie this boy." Onew points to the tired out boy, sitting defensively while holding a rock. 

"A boy?" His subordinate stares at the kid. "He is a human!"

"Yes. Like I said. Help me tie him." Onew draws closer to the boy. He jumps him, and manages to subdue him long enough for his friend to tie him up. 

Onew sighs. "Did you find anything?"

His friend shakes his head. "Nothing. This island is small and no people are here."

"All right. Then let's head back."

"What of Grant?" The sailor checks his pulse.

"He is now dead." 

"His body is drained of blood?" The sailor looks confused. "What happened?"

"That boy." Onew comments scowling. "Let us go."

"What of Grant?" 

"Leave his body here. We cannot have a rotten corpse on the ship." Onew picks up the boy. "Now go."

The two men return to the ship and the boy is alarmed. He struggles as he is set on the boat. As the sun is already below the horizon, the two men are tired and want nothing more than to return to the boat and sleep. The boy however was a hindrance to their return. 

"Should we knock him out?" The sailor suggests. Onew shakes his head.

"Let him be." Onew rows the boat. It was already midnight. "We might be late as it is."

The sailors returned and the boy was handed over to Taeyeon in the captains quarters, who scrutinized the boy. Yuri was with him and they stared the boy down. 

"So we had one casualty." Yuri notes. Taeyeon nods. 

"But this boy." Taeyeon sighs. "He is a wild beast."

"Hmmm." Yuri sighs. The boy was fighting against the ropes, trying to get his hands around any sharp object. He even tried to bite through the thick rope. 

"Is this the 'good omen' you were speaking of?" Taeyeon asks, a bit uncertain. "Because losing one of our hands is not good."

"I'm not sure." Yuri frowns. "But he does not seem totally evil."

"He does not speak our language..." 

"There is not one language in this world." Yuri stares at Taeyeon sighing. "Did they tell you how Grant died?"

"His blood was drained." Taeyeon shivers at the thought. 

"By whom?" Yuri asks. "They said there was no other human or monster there. Beside this boy."

"Him." Taeyeon points to the boy. "His teeth are very sharp and he reeks of the iron from blood."

Yuri frowns. "He is but a mere child."

"A devil child." Taeyeon shudders. "A monster."

"I have decided. I will take him home with me." Yuri nods.
