Minho POV

I walked into Krystal’s room, I wasn’t expecting to find her wide awake.

“Krystal?” I smiled instantly as I neared her bed

She stared up at me with wide eyes

“Are you okay?” I asked, I was getting worried because the krystal I know wouldn’t be acting like this, something is wrong

“I think so.” She paused for a moment as if to confirm her thoughts “This is a hospital right?”

Oh No…

“Right” I agreed

“And my name is Krystal. It says so on the door.”

I nodded

“But then.” She scrunches up her eyes “who are you?”

I step back reluctantly, I shake my head trying to make sense of this situation

“You don’t know who I am?”

She stared up at me with big eyes, almost as if trying to apologize with her stare

“Minho, I’m Minho.”

She looked like she was trying hard to remember, her eyes scrunched up her brows furred together and twisted to the side, like how she used to do when we were going out.

Krystal shook her head

“I’m sorry.” She whispered just as she began to cry

“hey, its okay.” I sat down next to her on the bed. “Everything is going to be okay.”  I grabbed her hand.

Why I did that, I don’t know.

She looked up at me and placed her hand on my cheek

I was compelled to move back, but how could I when she barely remembers anything

“I think, I remember” she said aloud

“remember what?” I urged her on

She closed her eyes for a brief second, before I knew it she was kissing me.

I sat their frozen because I didn’t know what to do, I cant push her off, but I cant let this kiss happen

I back off as soon a I can

“Your Minho, my boyfriend.” She smiled up at me

Crap, she remembered the wrong part of our relationship

“Um, About that…”

“Good she’s awake.” I hear Jiwon speak from behind me

Great just what I needed, things to get complicated

“Hello” Krystal smiles and waves at Jiwon

“Hi.” Jiwon looks confused

I stand up quickly

“can I talk to you outside really quick.” I tug on her arm when she doesn’t follow

Jiwon closes the door behind her

“What is it?” she says coldly

“Krystal… she doesn’t remember certain things.” I hint at it

“Like what things?” Jiwon crosses her arms then winces as she touches her bad arm

“Are you okay?” I reach out to her but she backs away

“I’m fine. What’s wrong with Krystal?” she demands

“She doesn’t remember what happened. Any of it.”

“What, like the car accident?”

“No, like everything after our break up is just gone.” I shake my head

“So, she still thinks you guys are going out?” she asked quietly

I nodded

“Wow.” Was all that came out of

Jiwon POV

Wow was all I could think of. If Krystal still thought that she was going out with Minho then she still thought she had feelings for him.

And why do I care so much. I shouldn’t, I cant let myself get caught up in this. I hold my head up high

“You should go back there with her. She needs you.” I try to smile but I’m not sure it comes out

“Jiwon…” Miho says my name just as I turn away

I feel the tears filling up my eyes, I really cant let Minho see me cry. Especially like this

“Hm” I clear my throat

“Where are you going” he asks

“I’m finished here.” I said, the double meaning echoing through the hall way

“I’ll see you later?” he called out

“Yeah.” I said quickly before I turned the corner out of sight.

I shouldn’t feel this way. So what if Krystal and Minho get back together, maybe this time she’ll do it right. She wont get involved with Key.

Key, what was Key going to say about all this. When we found them in the car they had been holding hands. Clearly that meant something right?

I wiped my tears away as the elevator dinged

The doors opened and I found my parents inside.

“MOM!” I practically yelled as I hugged her tightly

“Jiwon are you okay?” she asks as she checks me for any injuries

“I’m fine. Its krystal and Key who were injured” I clarify

“Oh, thank goodness” my mother sighs in relief

I look up at my father who seems to be talking to some one on the phone

“Dad” I say, he holds up a finger to silence me “DAD” I speak up louder

“Honey not now.” He walks out past us into the waiting room

“Come on.” My mom smiles sympathetically as she follows my dad into the room

I’ve had it with all this.

“What all this about an arranged marriage?” blurt out

My mother drops into her seat and my father drops his phone

“How did you find out?” My father had shock written all over his face

“Does that really matter?” I crossed my arms

“We didn’t have another choice.” My mother sighed

“Really, no other choice but to sell out your only daughter?”

“Jiwon, We had to do this in order to keep up the company. We thought you wouldn’t mind since you like Key.” My father took a step closer to me but I backed up

“Well, I do mind.” I said dryly “I mind a lot. Call off the wedding”

“I cant” My father shook his head “it a done deal”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing

“What happens if I don’t marry?”

“then Keys father will pull out of the new project, and that’s what we need in order t keep our house from being taken away from us.”

“I cant believe you. My own family. So this is why I had to go to the ball with Key.” I was all falling into place

“That’s why I wasn’t allowed to apply for any out of town collages” each word came out with disbelief

“Sweetie everything is going to work out. You will only have to marry for a year, after that you can divorce him.” My mom tried to brighten up the mood but to no use

“Great, I’ll be divorced at age 19”

“just do this for the family, yes?” my mother grabbed my hand.

For a second I was compelled to kick and scream all around the hospital but I held it in. Thinking back to what I had just seen in Krystals room, getting married wasn’t the worst of my problems

“Have you gone in to see Key yet?” My father asked

“He’s fine.” As I got ready to walk away I had the sudden urge to go talk to Key, I had to ask him how he felt about this whole marriage thing, especially after what I saw when we found him in the car.

“Actually, I have to talk to him right now.” I took off not waiting for either of them to run after me.

If I could get Key to talk to his father about all this maybe we wouldn’t have to get married.

I stood in front of Keys door.

I had no clue as to how to start out our conversation

I slowly opened the door and peeked in

“Jiwon?’ he said as soon as he saw me

“Hey, how are you feeling?” I walked in

“Better. I heard about…Krystal” I could have sworn I saw pain flash across his face

“did you? Yeah, it was quite a shocker.” I sat down in the chair next to his bed “Actually, Key, I came to talk to you about something else.”

“About the marriage?”

“Yes”

“Listen, sorry I was a jerk earlier, its just that, honestly, losing a girl that I like twice and to the same guy, well it was killing me, so I lashed out at you.”

“But why me?” I pondered “It was Minho you were really mad at.”

He chuckled

“Because, it was you that Minho was falling for.” He shook his head in disappointment, as if this should be something that I already knew.

“Minho was falling for me?” I sat there still

“Yup. But I guess it doesn’t matter any more huh?”

“I guess not.”

We sat there in silence

The truth was that it really didn’t matter if Key liked Krystal or if Minho was falling for me, because in the end, Key and I were going to get married and there was nothing that I could do about it.
