The Next day at school was as awkward as things could have been, after finding out about Krystal’s games, Minho had sort of distanced himself from the Shinee guys and Key didn’t seem to care.

“He’s not there.” I heard Taemin sneak up behind me

“Who?” I jumped

“Minho. He’s on the roof, getting fresh air.” He sat down next to Tiffany

“Oh… I mean, I don’t need to know.”

“He wont say much. We just know something went down between Key and him since they got in a fight.”

“They fought!” I jumped off the desk

“Yeah, last night, Key went over to his house and Minho was Pissed, Im not too sure what happened but Key came back bleeding.”

I looked over at Tiffany.

She shrugged

“You said Minho was on the roof?” I asked as I gathered my things

“Hmm.” Taemin nodded

“YAH!” Tiffany yelled “where are you going? Class starts in like five minutes!”

I pulled my bag over my shoulder and waved at her as I left out the room

“Are you kidding me right now!” I heard her say through clenched teeth as I rushed past all the kids entering the room.

I hurried up the steps and turned the corner.

The roof…

Which side, the science wing or the patio? I decided to check the patio first since it was the closest.

As I opened the door, I couldn’t help but feel afraid. I was sort of scared that Minho might be mad at me, or worse, not mad… disappointed he had every right to be. I didn’t tell him about Krystal and Key and even after knowing what happened I still felt something for Key.

All these confused feelings that I felt added to my nerves and I felt like I was getting a stomach ache.

Great just great.

I peeked out the door and expected to see Minho standing there watching over the people eating in the patio but no one was there.

I sighed

“What are you looking for?” I heard a voice come from behind me on the stairs

I jumped

“Minho!” I practically screamed

“You looking for me?” He smirked

“No… I mean… that’s not what I meant.” I took a few steps down to meet him “What happened?” I reached up to his face. It was bruised up badly near his cheek bone.

“This is nothing. You should see Key.” He scoffed

“What?” I backed away

“Oh, that’s right I forgot. He’s you boyfriend now.” Minho said in a snarky tone.

I didn’t appreciate him acting this way

“Key is not my boyfriend.” I said

“Whatever. I don’t wanna to know.” He walked past me out to the roof top.

I followed him

“Aren’t you and Key supposed to be friends? Why do you hate him so much…”

“Are you seriously asking that?” Minho turned around so fast that I backed up by instinct and almost fell.

“I know what he did… but if you guys are friends why not just forgive and forget?” I asked

“I would if it were only the Krystal problem that’s affecting me. But its not, Honestly I’m fine with that.” He leaned over the edge, looking down at the people sitting and talking

“There something else?” I joined him.

I couldn’t help but ask, weren’t we friends? Friends could ask this much right?

“If you have to ask its not even worth mentioning.” He snapped at me.

“Okay. I’m not psychic, I cant read minds. So yeah I have to ask.” I said irritated

He shook his head

I stood there waiting for an answer. But he was just quiet, he didn’t make a sound so I gave up.

I sighed

He lifted his head up and sighed

I waited to see if he would say anything and once again, nothing.

So I began to walk away.

“Jiwon…”

As soon as I heard him call my name I stopped

“Yes?”

“Promise me that, no matter what happens, we’ll still be friends.” He said softly

“What could happen?” I smiled

“Just promise me.” He scoffed “I know it sounds childish.”

“I promise.” I smiled just as I opened the door to go back inside

“Good.” I could almost hear the smirk on his face.
