Whenever Kris decided to crack open a "new" letter, he started to notice his chest feeling heavier and his mouth becoming drier and drier. The letters didn't make him feel as well as he thought they would. Instead, after reading those four words at the end, his mind gave him weird images that would float around in his head.
Usually he would never decline a game of basketball with Zitao, especially on a day off. But he would trail back to reading about his old teammates.
Many of the other members started to take notice of Kris' change in attitude and he decided it would be better for himself to take a break from reading the letters. So, underneath the mattress they went.
When Kris thought those letters were long gone from his memory, cleaning day at the dorm came around. "Do you still need these envelopes?" Kyungsoo asked, holding several in his hand."Do you want me to throw them away?"
Kris sat up from his comfortable position on the couch and his jaw dropped to the floor. Tripping over his own feet, he staggered to Kyungsoo and snatched the precious letters from him. "No! Don't look at those!" Kris slammed the door to his room and sat on the bed wit letters #7 to #9 resting on his lap.
