DEAR YIFAN, [/CONTENTID2]
[CONTENTID1] Do you remember the first time I was actually civil to you? It was during our after school activities; I had band class and you were a part of the basketball team. It wasn't easy being a bank geek in junior high because all anyone cared about was sports. People really believed the stereotypes they saw on the TV.
I remember Mark was so pissed that you got chosen instead of him. And then Wendy crush on you grew stronger.
Anyways, Mark and I were walking out of the band room, which so happed to be located right across from the gym. We stayed behind to do some practicing and you were bonding with your teammates. I made sure to never tell you this, but your teammates would always make fun of us band students. I guess you never figured out that I was a part of the most hated niche in school. Thankfully, you never really caught on.
But I remember you did stick up for us. When Mark and I walked past the gym we heard the same old laughter and jokes. It was so embarrassing, especially because I was expecting you to join in with them...but you didn't. You said that you loved music and dancing and art. That shut them up right away. I really appreciated what you did for us because after that, they stopped making us the target. I hope you remember that because if you were just making those things things you said up, I wouldn't know what to think of you anymore. Which is hard
