Let’s start!!

~*~ Game 15 ~*~

“Wooyoung-ah, are you going to quit the astronomy club?” Hara’s voice could be heard from the room.

Ji-eun’s eyes widened. Bwo? Why quit? Is it because of the trouble I caused him yesterday? What’s this? She placed her hand over her chest. Why is my heart beating so fast…?

“Aniyo, I’m not quitting!” Raising both hands up, Wooyoung tried to explain. “I just want to take a break from the club!”

“Bwo?” Hara’s eyes widened from the misunderstanding. “But why? Give me a reason!” Shaking her head, she threw both fists in the air in refusal to his decision. “Our new members will probably quit after you leave!”

A sweat drop formed on Yoseob’s forehead, as he sighed, “So desperate…”

“It’s kind of complicated…” his chin with his thumb and index finger, Wooyoung continued, “… Look, do you really think they have an interest in astronomy? Apparently they’re not active at all in the club activities.”

“Ah!” Accepting the truth, Hara lowered her voice. “Yeah… Most of them just came here for Wooyoung-ah and Hyunwoo-ah…”

“So I was thinking if I stopped coming here for some time, it would be easier for you to know who’s really into astronomy. It seems to be quite a headache for you, maja?”

Yoseob chuckled weakly. “Ne…”

“What’s more, I haven’t been to the tennis club lately, so I think I should go do some exercises.” … And I think it’ll make Ji-eun feel more relaxed. She’s really not good at getting along with strangers.

Hara looked at Wooyoung in shock. He just confessed his real intent.

Yoseob looked at him in shock as well. Does he realize he just said that out loud?

But what about the precious new members? I’m going to lose them. Sighing, Hara avoided eye contact. “… Well, since you asked for a break, I don’t have the right to stop you anyway… Yooyoo?!” Shocked, she caught Ji-eun staring at them from the door.

Wooyoung’s eyes widened. “Yah, you scared me!”

… So he’s not quitting…? Feeling relieved, Ji-eun entered the room, and walked towards him. “Wooyoung, are you going to stop coming here for a while?”

“Mmm… Ne… Well temporarily.” His heart started beating fast. Will she feel lonely when I’m not here?

“Alright. I think it’s a good decision,” she said, relieved.

“…!!” Heavily shocked by her response, he ran away in tears. “Then that’s that. I’ll be starting my break right now!”

Ji-eun tilted her head in confusion. Hara waved weakly, watching him run away. “Ah… Ne…”

Hyunwoo just walked into the clubroom, but stared behind him, watching Wooyoung. “What was that about? He just ran away, crying.”

Noticing Hyunwoo, Hara began to explain everything. “Ah! Hyunwoo-ah, here’s what happened… *blah, blah, blah*”

“I see! But I won’t take a break, don’t worry.” He smiled brightly, as he wanted to keep his fan club.

Wanting to keep the members, Hara smiled back. “Ne! That’s what I wanted to hear!” I have faith in Hyunwoo-ah for this.

Hyunwoo scoffed. Hmph, what’s he doing? But it’ll be funny if no one quits the club because of his absence. Walking to a desk, he put his backpack down.

Looking through the bookshelf behind Hyunwoo, Ji-eun continued to look at the titles, as she pardoned herself, “Excuse me, I need to get that book.”

After moving out of her way, he stared at her. She’s here? She didn’t seem herself yesterday…

Yesterday~

“Ji-eun? Are you listening?” Hyunwoo asked, as he looked at her face.

“… Hmm?” Snapping back to reality, Ji-eun looked back at him. Realizing that everybody was gone, she headed towards the door. “Ah, ne… I’ll go to the roof now-” Her words got cut off, as she bumped onto the wall next to the exit, making all her rice cakes fall on the floor. “…” Silence filled the air, as they both stared at the fallen rice cakes. Kneeling down, she turned to him. “I’ll handle this. You go first.”

“O- Okay.” Trying so hard to have nothing to do with her, he ran away. “Kanda.

~ End Flashback

Ah… Should I ask her under these circumstances? Hajiman, I don’t want any trouble. Maja! I should just leave her there, and not ask about it… Damn… What the hell happened? Why did that usually stoic woman look so sad? Remembering her sad face, Hyunwoo leaned against the bookshelf and looked down. “… Ji-eun, what happened yesterday?”

Ji-eun looked up at him. “Bwo? What do you mean?” With her usual plain face, she apologized, “Mianheyo, I really need to read some books. Can we talk later?”

“…!!!” Shocked, Hyunwoo stood there, as a focused Ji-eun took an astronomy book out of the shelf and began to flip through it. This woman! I was worried about her. How could she be so cold?! I’m really doubting Jang Wooyoung’s taste in women. I’m never going to get close to her again!!

“Bwo?!” the group of girls whined in unison.

Hara repeated calmly, “So as I’ve said, Wooyoung-ah will be participating in the tennis club for now.”

“Ah~ I just remembered that I have something important to do.” One girl stood up from her seat. Maybe I should enter the tennis club.

Another girl stood up as well. “Oh yeah, me too.” Where is it? The tennis club sounds much more interesting than the astronomy club.

One by one, all the girls left. “…” Speechless, Hyunwoo watched the last girl stand up from her seat.

A sweat drop formed on her forehead, as she forced out a giggle. “Don’t look at me like that. I’m not here for the boys…” And with that, the last girl left, leaving the room silent.

“This situation is too awkward to make fun of…” Yoseob whispered to Kikwang.

Kikwang agreed weakly, “Ne…”

Ani!!! Jang Wooyoung, damn you!!! In defeat, Hyunwoo hung his head, as he slammed both fists on the table.

“…” Hara just looked blankly at the now empty clubroom.

Our Wooyoungie Wears Glasses in Class, but This Is Just For Fan-Service keke

Clenching his teeth, Wooyoung sat in class, as he prepped his elbow on his desk and placed his cheek on the palm of his hand. Ji-eun… She looked so upset yesterday. What’s with her good mood today? Ani, I’m not annoyed by her. He closed his eyes, as he scoffed. Ne, I’m completely fine. Everything is within my expectations. Ne… It should be… Failing to try to convince himself, his eyes start to tear up.

“The one over there sinking into his own world, Wooyoung-ah, translate this part,” the professor turned and looked at him. Fluently, and with ease, Wooyoung translated the whole page, amazing the students in class and the professor. “… Good job.”

Wooyoung walked onto the court with his tennis racket in hand. … Looks like they’ve got more members.

“Wooyoung-ah! Long time no see!” One of the guys waved, and ran up to him. He pointed behind him happily. “Look. I don’t know why, but suddenly we got a lot of applicants yesterday!”

“Wooyoung-oppa! <3” a group of girls squealed his name.

“..!” Shocked by the all too familiar voices, Wooyoung stared back at the group. He sighed, “… I think I know why.”

How is the astronomy club doing? Is Ji-eun doing well? It’s good for her to try to work hard on communicating, but she’s just been too hard on herself. Anyway, I guess there must be fewer members now, so she can handle it better. It was a big mistake for her to start with those girls for practice with communication… While Wooyoung was gloomy and deep in thought, he has been playing tennis with one of the members. Running back and forth from the strong returns, the other guy gasped for breath. I shouldn't keep thinking about Ji-eun Suddenly realizing, Wooyoung’s eyes widened. But why the hell did I decide to leave Ji-eun?! “What am I doing? I’m so stupid!!” Irritated, Wooyoung smashed the ball to the other side.

“Daebak! So cool, Wooyoung-ah!” The members on the side, watched in amazement. “What a powerful serve!”

Omo. That’s Wooyoung. Walking towards the gate, Ji-eun placed both hands on it. “Wooyoung…” Her voice faded, as she watched him.

The guy Wooyoung was competing with placed both hands on his knees, and desperately gasped for air. “Dammit…”

“Want to play the next match with me?” a girl giggled.

Wiping his sweat off with a towel, he just forced a chuckle. How did I win the game…?

… He looks happy. Watching him from afar, Ji-eun began to feel a pain in her chest. Placing her hand over it, she tilted her head in confusion. “…?”

Our Ji-eunie’s chest hurts?! Is it just sickness again or is our Wooyoungie right all along about our Ji-eunie actually having feelings for him?!! Oh! &Did you like my little Wooyoungie fan-service at the end with those gifs?? keke To be continued…

Chapter 15: Ooh this story seems really interesting. I've only recently gotten to know about the Milky Couple, and I am absolutely in love with this pair. You write really well, and this story vaguely reminds me of Special A (it's a manga/anime). If you choose to continue this story, I'd eagerly read it through.
Keep up the great work! :)
