After changing and resting a while, you slowly walk down to the living room, with your back feeling much better. Five pairs of eyes stare at you in greeting and once again, except for the guy you called a ‘byuntae’ earlier. He is watching TV, pretending that s weren’t acting all weird towards you.

“What?” you ask,  not knowing what’s going on.

“N-nothing~!” they sing-song together, then continue with what they’re doing. They know you slipped and Baekhyun is the one who carried you to your room, because Sehun saw the incident  and went to tell the rest.

“Okay....” you say awkwardly before heading to the kitchen to get a glass of water. *That Byuntae! Oh, he’s gonna get it from me....*You are too immersed in your thoughts that you don’t feel Baekhyun creep up behind you.

“I see someone has been silently cursing me, huh ?” he whispers in your ear. You shudder at the shiver that runs through your spine.

“Yah! Don’t do that! Stop sneaking up on me!” You yell and turn around, subconsciously placing your hand on your throbbing heart. “I’ll die from a heart attack, thanks to you!” You frown and glare at him.

Baekhyun looks at you indifferently. “Anyways,” he says. “Suho hyung asked me to tell you that we’re going out hunting... so make sure you lock the door before going to sleep, arraso? We don’t want uninvited guests to sneak in.” After finishing his sentence, he walks away.

You resist the urge to ask if you can tag along, because you know it will be pointless. EXO-K has already told you out fact that you are never allowed to see them hunt -- “As a precaution,” they say. “Yeah, noona! We know you’re curious, but we don’t want to risk you getting hurt!”

So tonight, you guess it’ll just be you, a bag of chips, and the big ol’ plasma TV.

You have fallen asleep with your mouth hanging open a little. The television programme in front of you continues, sounds escaping the speakers and light flickering over your peaceful face.

You dream of your old apartment in New York -- maybe it’s because you’ve been missing it lately.

Light rain falls onto your windowsill in rhythmic splatters. Almost habitually, you breathe out hot air, fogging up the glass window in front of you.

You smile and trace shapes with your fingers, while beneath you lies New York. Right now, its streets getting pelted with droplets.
